Unfortunately Honey appears to be closed for the long term. Their phone is disconnected and the place was all closed up on a Friday when I drove over to double-check. The food was pretty awesome but now we need a new Thai place in Williston!

Even though we like all the Thai restaurants around here, Honey Thai is our absolute favorite. The spicy base level is a little higher than most, which is great for me, I never have to get adjustments. They make perfect starters and the prices are just right with great portions. There is a bit of a revolving door on this location and I sincerely hope they break the streak!

Disreputable Owner! I have eaten here several times. I have enjoyed the food on each occasion. So I looked forward to taking my family there for my birthday dinner. My adult daughter is a vegan(she’s very polite about it; not like some that are combative and wear it on their sleeve). She ordered a salad that had shrimp listed as one of the ingredients, and politely but specifically asked for the salad NOT to come with shrimp. Our waiter was the owner herself. When our dinner was brought out, guess what was piled on the salad? Shrimp. I asked the owner to take it away, reminded her that my daughter asked for salad without shrimp, and for a replacement salad. She returned several minutes later — same plate, same salad, no shrimp. She insisted it was a new salad, but the ingredients could not have been laid out perfectly exactly the same way, identical plate. You could even see the juices from the shrimp on the lettuce and the sides of the plate. She still insisted it was a new salad. We were speechless. That is crappy, crappy, dishonest service. I don’t care how good the food is, that sets a horrible standard of service. If the owner is doing things like that, who knows what else the rest of the staff is doing following that example. I won’t go back, and I will repeat this story to anyone who mentions the restaurant.

I’ve been going to Honey Thai probably once a month, since my last review. The food quality has remained consistent. I did however, try their Thai Fried Rice with scallops(it can be withe different meats, seafood or veggie). The fried rice itself was flavorful and moist. However, for the $ 19.95 price, I was expecting more than… at most, 2 sea scallops cut up and mixed into the rice. This was a takeout order, so I was really able to take note, as I plated the dish when I got home. I’m giving it 4-stars, because the rest of the items I have tried have been pretty good. Just avoid the Thai Fried Rice with Scallops, especially from a value for your money perspective.

Thai fried rice with beef and red curry with chicken were both great. Hot and flavorful. Service was good. Although we had to wait to be seated and periods of not having drinks refilled. The food was good thai food but the portion size for price didn’t make sense. $ 14 for rice with beef and some scallions and small veggies. We might be back but most likely not because of price and portion size

Was really craving Thai and Unilocal did it again. Great lunch with my wife on our anniversary. As others have said, don’t let exterior scare you off. Nice, clean atmosphere inside with excellent food at decent prices. The Pad Thai and Thai fried rice were our fav’s.

The Thai fried rice(with brown rice) was amazing. Also has the Pad Pak with Tofu which was equally good. Spring roll and Tom Yah Tofu soup was excellent. Definitely recommend coming here.

Good not great Thai in a bizarrely decorated and cobwebby dining room. Staff were quite friendly yet also confusing– was that a 70 year old Cleopatra? Outside doesn’t look like much, but the food makes it worth it. Just don’t look up at the ceiling in the front corridor. Slightly overpriced for the portion size and location. We were overcharged for an item on the menu, but otherwise everything was as good as could be expected. We don’t know this going in, but it’s BYOB!

Don’t let the external view of this restaurant turn you off. We were hesitant to go in since it was Friday night at 6 pm with just two cars in lot. BUT… we were very pleasantly surprised at the big and nicely-decorated dining area. It felt like we were transported to Thailand(kinda!) The food was very fresh and quickly prepared and served with a genuine smile. We had dumplings and crab and cream cheese pastries for appetizers. Delicious but portion size was just a bit small. The entrees on the other hand were quite large and delicious. We had Thai fried rice and pork and a flat pasta dish with shrimp(can’t remember name) but they were both fantastic. The Thai Tea is a sweet, almost desert-like beverage served in a large glass. Very tasty and only $ 2.50. The staff all were very friendly and accommodating. By the time we left at 7:20, the lot was filling up. We will be back soon!!!

Once wasn’t enough, we went back twice in 4 days. The food was really good and the staff was so genuine. Service was very quick and food was fresh. An added bonus is their BYOB policy. 1 wine bottle or a 6 pack per every 2 diners. It’s definitely not the fanciest of places, but it has great food and it’ll be a filling experience. Would recommend anyone for either dine in or take out.

Like the others, we found this place through a living social deal and could not be happier. I absolutely love Thai food and have eaten at dozens of different places throughout New Jersey and New York. This place was one of my top, hands down!!! So good, we went two days in a The service was excellent. The staff was very attentive and our glasses were never empty. As an appetizer, we ordered the spring rolls and were not disappointed. I ordered the spicy basil shrimp and it was amazing. It was spicy, but that’s just how I like it. The shrimp was cooked to perfection and seasoned perfectly. My hubby ordered the pad thai(and of course, I had to try it… after all, it’s not fattening if you don’t order it ;). The pad thai was soooooooo good. The noodles were tender and there was just enough peanut butter flavor to satisfy, without overwhelming the palette. Highly recommend this restaurant! I’m back in jersey and find myself craving their food. Luckily I will be traveling back to Vermont in a mere two weeks! It’s also BYOB… which is a huge plus!!!

We(like some of the other reviewers) went here because of a promotion on Living Social. We were pleasantly surprised! This place needs more hype and more business! They have very reasonably priced, and tasty foods. I had their Green curry which was very well balanced, full-flavored, and spicy. We also got a their crispy duck dish that was delightfully crispy(as it should be) rather than being soggy. Their waitstaff are adorable and friendly, always greeting with a big smile. They took our orders without writing it down and everything we ordered came out correctly! I am not sure how that would work with larger parties, but it showed that they were really paying attention. We did order drinks(Thai Iced Coffee), appetizers, and entrees. I have been actively recommending this place to friends as I really hope they stay open! I know many restaurants can struggle in their first few years. Check them out!

If it wasn’t for my living social coupon I don’t think I would have ever heard about this restaurant. That being said, I’m happy that I bought the deal and have gone here. I live closer to Tiny Thai but I definitely would go out of my way to Honey Thai(current owner use to work at Tiny Thai so the food is legit!). From the outside you wouldn’t think anything of Honey Thai, it just looks like a house but once you walk in, it’s very big and there’s a lot of space. I think the bar is still being worked on but it’s looking good. I got the typical pad thai with tofu and it was good. So delicious just like how it’s suppose to! I get afraid of ordering Asian food in VT because its not the same as Boston but their pad thai is better than Tiny Thai(I don’t like tiny thai’s pad thai at all, it just tastes off). The portions are way huge!!! I never seen plates that big. For me it’s enough for dinner and lunch the next day. We also tried ordering the crispy calamari but they were out so maybe next time. I suggest if you like thai food, make the trip over here. I would :)

I was hoping for a good Thai place nearby and this is it. We started with the calamari(as is our norm). Very different and obviously made at the restaurant. Pieces of meat coated in an almost light eggroll crumb. Good sweet sauce with it. I had the Pad Thai which was the second best I’ve had in the country. My wife had a curry dish that was excellent. Quality and amount is great and the price is very reasonable. the place is usually close to empty everytime I drive by which is a shame. I hope Honey Thai has the support so it can stay.

I had the veggie cashew stir-fry with extra veggies(for a $ 1 upcharge). This came with a big variety of different fresh vegetables. The taste was excellent and it was cooked perfectly. My son had the Pad Thai w/chicken, which he also enjoyed. Nice place, good food at reasonable prices. Will be back.

I’m a long-time fan of the Thai in St. Albans, so I came into Honey Thai a little biased, never expecting them to impress me as much as the other. However, I’m genuinely pleased. First, the service is extraordinary. My son attends college across the street, so we were there to get takeout and get to an appointment. This was the first time in my life that we were invited to sit on a comfortable sofa and brought glasses of water while we waited for our food. The food, again very impressive. Portions were huge. Food was delicious. I base all judgments on Drunken Noodles and while my usual Thai ends up bringing tears to my eyes because of the amount of Thai chilies, this one was ideal. Spicy enough to burn the tongue a bit, but not overly so. My son ordered the garlic-pepper chicken and the amount of rice that came with it was twice as much as he was expecting, so all of the sauce was able to soak into the rice. We used the Deal Chicken deal and feel we got more than our money’s worth. We’ll certainly be back, and he plans to share the take out menu with all of his college pals.

Food is fine. Yummy dumplings. But I asked for a dish not just mild but very very mild, and it came back so hot as to be completely inedible. That stunk.

Honey Thai did not disappoint and did not overwhelm — good place to go for some typical thai food at a good price. I had the tom yum soup(good tangy flavor and the shrimp were decent) and the pad thai(if you’re in the mood, it’s fine, but it’s a little too sweet/gummy for my liking — they may use ketchup?). Best of all, it is a BYO, which we did not know when we came! And it’s spacious and not crowded. The servers are friendly and attentive — no complaints!
