Pricey and pretentious. The Williston location is worse than the Burlington one. Yes, it looks nice on the surface; however, going inside is to discover a new low when it comes to customer service. The staff are neither helpful nor nice; in fact, they make you feel like a nuisance for something as simple as asking where something is. The prices are ludicrous. Everything I, family, and friends have purchased here fizzles out and dies quickly. They rely on Burlington’s love-affair with anything«local» to sustain themselves, but seriously – if you want plants that survive and thrive(for half Gardener’s over-the-top prices) – avoid this place and go to Adam’s in Williston or even Home Depot or Lowe’s. Gardener’s Supply Co. has perfected the art of self-righteous, self-important arrogance – they fancy themselves the«alpha» gardening store. Guess what, GSC, consumers have many, many other options.

Beautiful place to wander around — We were just looking for some simple houseplants and found an abundance in terms of selection, but the prices are definitely more expensive than what I would find at big box stores. For example, their orchids are priced at 70 $ including a small pot, but I could buy something comparable for 15 $ at Wal Mart. There’s a cute water fountain area with chairs and tables if you want to take a break and snack on something from the café shop as well as many gifts, locally made products, souvenirs and knick knacks to purchase. Unlike other reviews here, we found the customer service to be quite good — We got lots of help from 2 different employees who encouraged us to look around first to get an idea of what we liked and we were offered all kinds of suggestions, although it was mostly based on budget since everything is so expensive!

While Gardener’s Supply has a great space for its goods and plenty of free parking, I can’t say much for the prices and service here. Floor staff doesn’t seem inclined to want to help you, ever. Check out staff seem to be oblivious to the fact that the line gets longer especially when it’s the one line behind trying to fix a customer’s problem while chatting half of the time. I’d like to like this store more since it’s a beautiful interior and fairly well laid out, but the prices are too high for many items I can find at the local hardware for much cheaper and again, the service is just plain lousy. A business like this should really be able to step it up.

As an employee-owned business, I can only guess they are so highly paid, they don’t need to provide customer service. We wandered around for nearly 20 minutes and not one of the«busy bee» employees ever asked us if we needed help of any kind. In fact, they ALL seemed to go out of their way to avoid eye contact. There are a lot of them milling about, dusting, arranging and moving stuff but they just don’t seem to care if they sell a thing. If you are lucky enough to find what you’re looking for and eventually make it to the ONE staffed register, enjoy your wait. The one person on the register also seems to be the one person that has to answer the phone and then provide phone service while you wait. A lot of their«stuff» is quite over-priced as well. That’s why we order as much as possible from any online competition. As the previous posters mentioned, the«Outlet» is like a big, perpetual, Florida yard sale.

This really shouldn’t be labelled an outlet store. As an outlet this is a total disappoint. It is a slightly smaller version of their flagship store with a small outlet area outside. When I was in the area around 8 years ago or so I remember going to a different outlet store that really was an outlet with many more items. That was an outlet. This a disappointment.

For the amount that I love Gardener’s Supply– I was at the outlet store this weekend and totally underwhelmed. Lots of Christmas stuff in packing crates and a few pots. If I hadn’t been out there anyway I would have called it not worth the trip.
