Currently on the toilet shitting my brains out 20 mins after I just ate sushi from here. The sushi was gross and oily. I ordered the two spicy tuna roll lunch special. The rolls were incredibly salty and greasy it tasted like they added a lot of sesame oil to it maybe to mask the scent of the fish that was clearly not fresh. Gross do not recommend *update* my butthole is still on fire and it is definitely not from the spice as the rolls were quite mild and I handle my spice very well

I’ve been getting take out from this restaurant recently. The food is good for the price and the portions are large. The Malaysian curry soup with shrimp has tofu potatoes and vegetables is delicious. If you need to get some good for cheap this is the place to go.

This is my go-to take out spot for lunch. They have a nice variety and the sushi is always super fresh. Staff is friendly and the ambiance is dimly lit and relaxing. Their mushroom soup is great too.

Came here earlier tonight with a party of 7. We were craving sushi and were in the area so we decided to check this place. I ordered hot tea, seaweed salad, Maki combo C sushi and a green tea ice cream. Ambiance — Restaurant is small, good for up to parties of 4 – 6 but any more would be difficult to seat together. They have a TV in the center and play music fairly low in the background. The restaurant is quiet so it’s easy to talk and hear other conversations going on. Food — I ordered the Maki Combo C that included Spicy Tuna, Spicy Salmon and Spicy Yellowtail, however I asked if I could substitute the Yellowtail for Eel Avocado and our server gladly made the exception for me. The sushi was better than average for me however, I kept using spicy mayo and soy sauce with wasabi to bring more flavor. The combo also included a miso soup which I enjoyed and I also ordered a seaweed salad which was delicious. At the end of our meal I ordered the Green Tea ice cream for dessert and it was very tasty! Service — The highlight of our experience here was the service. First our server allowed me to change the Maki combo C item which I really appreciated. Several times my party and I had asked for sriracha sauce and our server kept going back and forth to give it to us with a smile on her face. Lastly the server kept checking on us and making sure we had a good refill on our hot tea. Our servers were very sweet and accommodating, something that our party really appreciated. Overall — good dinner with good service. It also wasn’t very pricey, average per person was between $ 9 — $ 25 depending on what meal you ordered! You can definitely tell this is a small family owned place and I think they’re doing a great job at taking care of their customers! Tips — Check in via Unilocal for a nice discount!

We order delivery from here frequently. I really like some items, others are so-so, so it really depends on what you order. We LOVE the spicy tuna sushi pizza — AMAZING!!! We also like the spring rolls, the various types of fried rice, and the beef curry soup. The shrimp tempura roll is good. I’m not a huge fan of the spicy tuna roll, which is strange because I love the spicy tuna sushi pizza! The California roll is alright. Pad Thai is good, but not the best pad Thai I’ve ever had. Dumplings and gyoza aren’t my favorite. My husband likes the sushi samplers. I would definitely give this restaurant a try and order a variety of food — figure out what you like and what you don’t like as much. All of the food is fresh and good, some things are just better than others which is why I can’t give it 5 stars.

Great neighborhood restaurant. We went for an early Saturday dinner. The place was quiet and the sever was extremely nice. I had the beef soba noodle soup, which was the best I’ve had. My wife had the salmon teriyaki. The salmon was very fresh and cooked and seasoned to perfection. We will certainly be back.

The best Japanese in the area. Generous portions are beautifully presented and the bonus is having the option of delicious Thai or Mayalsian dishes. Wait staff are friendly and attentive and though they did not invest in a grand dining room, the food is always fresh. It’s a wonder why this little restaurant does not have a line of people waiting to get in each night. Better for me :)

One of the absolute worst Thai restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. Word to the wise DON’T. Never trust a Thai restaurant that also serves a decent sized Japanese menu. Also, don’t trust it especially if the workers aren’t Thai. I had the duck pad Thai, chicken pad Thai, chicken satay, and shrimp tempura. Everything was bland, very bland. Absolutely no zest or zeal to the food. More or less it was haphazardly spiced. The pad Thais hardly had meat. The duck had a quarter handful of mushed together duck and the chicken pad Thai had a few shreds of chicken. Also the pad Thais mostly had tofu in it aside from the noodles. Also, never trust a Thai restaurant that doesn’t have drunken noodles. The chicken satay was ok at best but the chicken chunks in the skewer were fused meaning that they basically sat there for a while and they weren’t fresh. The tempura shrimps eerily had no flavor at all. The shrimps were heavily breaded to make them look like sizable tempura shrimp. The tempura wasn’t that Krispy. The food was cheap tho.

Gave it a try and it was good. Got three things: bbq squid, duck pad thai, and lychee bubble tea. All very good. BBQ Squid was perfectly cooked, got some nice charred pieces too, balanced with the sauce, and NOT rubbery! Duck Pad Thai delicious! Good portions, nice flavors. The lychee bubble tea was sooooo delicious, I wish it came in large like a 40oz. The only thing I would recommend is to serve the entrée after the appetizer is done, instead of everything out at nearly the same time. Very minor though.

Miyabi took the spot of a previous sushi place that had been a little uninspiring. My son and I went in on a Saturday for a late lunch which he requested. We were the only patrons inside at about 2:30PM. We started off with the Jalapeño Shrimp which was crisp and not soggy at all. The dipping sauce was a bonus when we added wasabi which mingled nicely with the peppers. It was a generous portion of about 8 shrimp. My son ordered the Godzilla and the Dancing Tuna rolls and we shared so I can say that he picked the right entrée. Both were full of flavor and well prepared. I picked the Hawaii Roll and the Hillside. They were good but my son won the day. Though tasty, the Hillside Roll is covered with avocado which makes it feel a bit mushy and cold. Still, the flavor and also the tightness of the rolls is head & shoulders above other sushi places in the area. The menu is abundant with choices and includes Thai, Japanese, Indian and sushi. I plan to come back here and experiment a bit more. We thanked the chef on the way out. I was really impressed considering many of the sushi spots in the area have either folded or disappointed lately. Miyabi’s waitress was also helpful when I needed a second choice for a roll. She gave me her take based on what I asked for. They were very pleasant and accommodating as well. The dining room is pretty narrow but you’re not elbowing the tables nearby. Also, the restroom is spotless and looks updated. Extra points for that.

Upon seeing the reviews and walking in I did not hold high hopes for this place with its common dark wood décor, fanciful flashy light sushi presentation and also being an «asian fusion» place, but surprisingly they won me over with generous cuts of fish and friendly service that had a feel of family run place. Prior to visiting, our cousin ordered some assorted sushi from here and we were quite pleased with the experience — sushi is well priced, with a lot of bang for the buck and the delivery was speedy. The fact that they offer 15% off with a Unilocal check in is also nice. Our dine in experience was very nice. The place is small and they do not have any seats at the small sushi bar. One side is booths and the other a long banquet with tables. We grab a booth. Upon sitting we place our order and shortly after we are given a complimentary app of tuna tataki topped with tobiko, spicy mayo and ponzu sauce(?) — not exactly sure, but it tasted very nice and the sashimi cuts were thin and allowed the fish to just melt in your mouth. Great start! We share a Kani Salad — they serve a very good version here with tobiko mixed in. Next time I will ask for lemon to cut the mayo based dressing a bit. When eating in a place for the first time I like to try their sushi sashimi or their sushi deluxe to get a general idea of the different fish they serve. I went with the Sushi/Sashimi and found the sashimi, nigiri and maki roll to be a large portion. I would have liked to seen the sashimi cut a bit thinner actually — when the fish is too thick I think it takes away from the texture of it.(My suggestion, provide same amount of fish, but cut into 4 pieces instead of 3). The nigiri has thinner cut pieces that I enjoyed more, but it mostly consisted of white fishes — fluke, mackerel, white tuna — these pieces are usually not the best from any sushi place — The same here as well. The naruto roll without rice was excellent and we both enjoyed tuna and avocado rolls. Although found in every sushi place, the spicy mayo here is an excellent version as well. Not a place I would order omakase, but for more common sushi dishes and rolls this place stands above most LI establishments. Look forward to ordering delivery, or stopping back here when I am in the area.

The sushi roll was okay. However, the Malaysian dishes were not authentic at all, and tasted weird, definitely nothing Malaysian, what a disappointment. We got a complimentary ice cream, which is awesome. Overall, not sure if I would return, nothing special

With me still gimping and unable to drive, Bonnie G. picked up the slack and the driving. We vacillated between Sushi Bars in a close proximity to home and ultimately chose Miyabi 3 because we had past it several times and it looked kinda hidden but beckoning with its neon sign outside. It was Saturday night around 9 and we meandered into this small dimly lit narrow restaurant with a preponderance of purple and dim lighting which at the time of our arrival was empty. The staff was most welcoming and gave us a table by the sushi bar because they have NO seats at the bar due to space constraints. I went to the bar and met Sandy the sushi chef and asked to see a sampling of his good stuff… belly sake(see photo) and hamachi and whatever else he had sequestered under the glass. Looked good so we stayed for dinner. I have to add that they were out of many of the items I like such as Uni and Ika. We ordered mostly straight sashami with one roll. The cuts were nice and gave a good fish taste when eaten. We ordered 6 orders of Hamachi Bellty sashami(12 Pieces) and the same of the Sake Belly sashami as well as 6 Unagi sushi and 4 Ikura sushi and Sandy comped us a beautiful dish of Toro on asparagus… delicious! The belly Hamachi and Sake were the stars and we really enjoyed the experience. I can only say that the fish served was fresh and masterfully cut. The Fantastic roll was beautifully made and delicious. My only negative, and its personal, is that I HATE this nouveau trend of serving sushi with flashing lights, champagne glasses piles of ice and fences and matts!!! They need to spend their time working to give me the best fish they have to offer in a simple setting… like on shaved radish. The star of the meal is the fish so it should shine on the plate not needing the bells and whistles. I passed this preference to Sandy and he understood and promised to serve the fish that way next visit. If not for Miyabi not having seating at the sushi bar and the presentation of bells and whistles I would have given 5 stars for the friendly service, great pristine fish and bottled saki. More to follow next visit. And Unilocalers… dont forget to claim your 15% checkin discount when paying the bill.

I couldn’t decide if I should give Miyabi III4 or 5 stars. The only reasons I would have gone down to 4 were twofold: place seemed a little«ordinary» and I have an inherent dislike of «fusion» places(seems to be an excuse to make a little of everything in a mediocre manor). As you can see, I decided on 5 stars, so they did something right. And the right they did was also twofold: the service was very friendly and responsive and the food was excellent! I had the Pad Thai with Duck and my only disappointment was not being able to finish it all(my further disappointment is that my daughter ate the leftovers I took home). My wife enjoyed her bento box and my daughter enjoyed her sushi, including an interesting fried Godzilla roll that I tried and thought was excellent. I wish this new comer to Williston Park well and hope they keep up the excellent service and delicious food!

Group of 5 of us went there for a work lunch as it was recently opened and within walking distance of our office. This restaurant is in the former home of «Blue Sushi» in case anyone was familiar with that restaurant. These are new owners and the theme is Sushi/Thai/Malaysian cuisine. The new interior is a welcome change! New furniture, new bathroom, and especially new walls(gone are the tile glue walls)! Staff was very friendly. They brought us a free appetizer to start(sushi roll with spicy shrimp, tobiko, fried then seaweed salad on top and wasabi mayo underneath) — delicious. Lunch menu has a decent selection of Thai, Malay, & Japanese cuisine(sushi lunch has a good selection of rolls including shrimp tempura, etc.). We ordered the Malaysian Fried Rice, Pad Thai, Yaki Soba, &3 roll sushi lunch. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals and the portions were large. We also ordered some bubble tea which was yummy. Best part was they gave us 15% off(not sure if this was only for lunch, dine-in, or what, but we certainly appreciated it). Would definitely recommend this restaurant. I live/work nearby and I think I’ll be using their delivery service frequently!
