I went here on a stormy night because I was in the mood to just chill with a glass of wine, some appies & just relax & read. I pulled into the parking lot & there were no other cars which gave me pause. I went in anyway & I wish that I hadn’t. I ordered a glass of Pinot Noir, which was ok. I pulled out my tablet to read a Kindle book. I noticed a wifi network available & asked for the password. The owner refused to provide the password. Wow! This business owner is really missing the boat! She proceeded to complain about her circumstances & bend my ear about her issues. Not that I don’t care but she was already on thin ice for not sharing the wifi so I was not impressed. Eventually some other people did come in but I had my 1 glass of wine & left for a better place. And yes, I did find one nearby. NEVER going back here again.

Had a great time here with my girlfriend last night. It’s hidden off a side road, and was just great all around. We laughed a lot, had good beer and wine, and made new friends. Cathy is the owner and she is kind, funny, and just great to talk to. If you’re hungry you can order any food you’d like to bring it in. Great prices, and even outdoor seating. They participate in Music on Main as well!

It was a whim. We had dinner somewhere else and decided we wanted a wine bar to enjoy the wine and continue our conversation in a nice quiet setting. That’s exactly what we found at Cabernet Café. Cathy was laid-back, no rushing us, no heavy sell and the space is warm and welcoming but could use some softer, more comfortable seating! I’d recommend it for a nice welcoming place to have some interesting lesser known wines you may not have tried. My friend had a blend and really enjoyed it. Try it, you might get hooked vs. a more traditional bar.

love the owner Kathy and its a great little place set apart from main street in the heart of the village. Perfect for a first date or somewhere private but nice. She will even stay open later just to accommodate you.
