Soooo cute. On Main in Williamsville they are next to Bee Maternal. Easy parking. Macaroons and cookies. Tons of gluten free options. Smells great. She also sells some local products(moxie bars) and some jams and jellies made in Lancaster. There was a freezer with gluten free breads as well. I’d stop by here again if passing by.

Simply Sweet. That’s really all you need to know about this little place. It really is Simply Sweet! So I’ve been dying to come in here for the longest time; when I take bike rides down Main St I usually don’t go down that far, and when I do I either forget to check it out, or they’re closed! But hey, I got there eventually, right? This is a very small, very cute bakery that’s easy to pass by if you’re not entirely sure of what(or where) it is. I’m sure I never would have found it if I didn’t ride my bike in that area. The smell of fresh-baked, gluten free goods hits you as soon as you walk through the door. To the left is the counter, where cookies and brownies are set out, just waiting for you to take them home and eat them up. One of the employees also explained that they make pizza crusts, flat bread, and noted that everything in the shop was pretty good. Personally I’m not a fan of chocolate, so I settled for a Peanut Butter cookie and two blueberry muffins. The cookies are HUGE, and the one I got was about as big as my palm. THAT’S a cookie. I couldn’t even wait to take it home and eat it, I just devoured it in the parking lot. I don’t actively eat gluten free, but I don’t have a problem with coming back to Simply Sweet in the future. It’s local businesses like these that never fail to capture my heart and make me such a sucker.

Every year for my birthday my husband used to get me a lemon tart from the Sweet tooth. That place has since closed. We tried a few other lemon tarts but none were very good. Then I found out that I could no longer eat gluten. Well this year before my birthday I was looking around and I found this place. They had gluten free lemon tarts. So I figured why not. I told him about it. He ordered the tart and even though they are closed on Monday he was able to arrange to pick it up on a Monday because that was my birthday. Well I was not disappointed. This tart was so much like the one I used to buy. Lemon curd with whipped cream on top. It was delicious. I ate every last piece and I did not want to share. I can’t wait to order a cake or some other sweet treat. I have had baked goods that were gluten free from other bakeries and this was so far the best in the area.
