They are pretty good. I don’t come here that often. Its very big inside and has beautiful décor. They are a bit expensive to me though.

This place used to be great and has gone downhill fast. The hosts are miserable, waitresses old and miserable, and kitchen is incredibly slow. Large portions and decent prices make this place tolerable. Used to be a sure thing stop on the way back from the shore, but it’s no longer on the list.

Portions were good, service was very good. 3 of 4 people in my party got the broiled seafood combination. All three of us were disappointed. Scallops, flounder, salmon and shrimp, all had no taste. The very small lobster tail was extremely over cooked.

Peter’s is pretty good. I’m not really a breakfast person, but what they made was prepared well. I went for the eggs, home fries and Italian sausage. My potatoes were fine, but I’d liked for them to have been crispier. Thankfully my wife shared her with me :) Everything else was good. I wasn’t able to finish it. My wife’s pancakes were… odd. They tasted like they were made with Jiffy. They were like corn cakes. Not too appetizing if you like traditional pancakes. At the cash register they have a bowl of incredibly good cookies. Be sure to grab one on your way out!

Peter’s diner always gives you large portions and a good deal for anything on the menu. This is our local(but preferred!) diner. We don’t really go to Geets just because we once had a bad experience there.

Great service. Lots of food with each order. Soup was excellent, good diner food otherwise. I had the broiled seafood combination which was honestly a little dry that’s the reason they get a 4 not a 5 rating. Be sure to try the cheese rolls.

You can get great service here you just have to know who to ask for. Come in and ask for a good server and the manager will place you accordingly.

The food was standard diner food, nothing to complain or brag about. The waitresses on the other were terrible! Our waitress was extremely absent the whole meal she was more concerned with talking to her coworker about who going to serve the table of union workers that were coming in. I guess they were having a brunch get together there and my waitress along with her coworker really wanted to have that section. She was so concerned about the tip she’d be getting from there she was losing out on the tips she could’ve been getting on the table that were eating at that time. Even the table next to us was annoyed. We won’t be going back.

First place me & my boyfriend went when we moved to Williamstown. Good food & good service. It’s our go-to place when we don’t feel like cooking dinner :)

As someone who lives local, I watched this restaurant be built, thrive, and lose its stride. In the beginning, this diner was the place to be. Everyone I know talks about the great value given the large portions. You really get your money’s worth here– and for many families that counts. The management is Greek and very stubborn. We have watched waitresses come and go the past few years and the servers tell us how hard management is on them. The servers are unhappy which impacts the experience for the customers. Don’t be surprised if you are waiting around a lot– the servers are spread thin and you may have to stand on your table to wave them down during a busy hour for them. I have watched some of the quality slip the last few years, too. For the locals, we notice the corners that they are cutting. The food is still great, and I always prefer Peter’s over Geet’s, but I hope the downward trajectory they are having doesn’t become a trend. Also, BESUREOFWHATYOU’REORDERING. Management is not interested in helping you, and they are not too kind. If you don’t like your meal, they rarely toss it and give you something new. To them they see wasted $$! Don’t be afraid to ask the waitress how something is seasoned or prepared, or if this is your first time ask what is most popular on the menu.

Let me first start out by saying that I used to go here a lot and enjoyed it very much. Today’s experience is started out by the hostess bring us to our table as we were 15 feet from the table dropping our menus on the table and saying have a good day. BUT the waitress herself was fun friendly and helpful. I ordered a pastrami Reuben and got a corned beef Ruben and the corned beef was bad itself. It was soaked in Russian dressing some sort of cheese and sauerkraut. When I asked the waitress to take it back and tell her it was corn beef and not pastrami, she took it without question and then brought it back to me two minutes later saying the Cook said that was pastrami. Being from Brooklyn I know the difference between corned beef and pastrami. The waitress came back with a :-(saying they would only offer me a free dessert. I asked her why they would only do that and she said because it looked like I already ate half of a sandwich. mind you I already had three other people eating at the same table and all were finished by the time this occurred. I went to discuss this with the manager and she only offered me a $ 3 discount on a 9 dollar meal I told her that was unacceptable and I did not want to do that. She went in back in God who appeared to be the cook /owner /stinky guy who was wearing flip flops in the kitchen. As far as I know you are not allowed to wear flip flops while cooking in the kitchen much less you shouldn’t look at the shoveled as this man did nor should you smell like this man did. He asked me what the problem was and I told him that the sandwich was supposed to be a pastrami Reuben and he said what was the problem and I said that it was corn beef and he said of the corn beef and I said yes but it was supposed to be pastrami. He asked what was wrong with the sandwich and I told him overall it was bad and I would like to see the pastrami side by side with the corn beef to see if he actually had both. He did not want to do this instead he said don’t worry do not pay the bill. I told him no I do not want it for free but I do not want to pay for the sandwich that I did not eat and was not what I ordered. I didn’t told him just give me half off on my meal and that was fine because I did have the soup. Overall the experience was horrible from the hostess to the food to the service afterwards and to dealing with the stinky man with the black the shoveled hair who I fear cooked our food. Beware of this place it has gone downhill in the past couple of years.

I come here all the time. Best diner in the area. They have AMAZING soups and the soup comes with almost everything. In the last 3 years I have yet to have something bad. Great chicken dishes, sandwiches, steaks, wraps, etc. The list goes on. I would recommend this diner to anyone who likes good food and a great deal.

I’ve been here on two separate occasions. The first time my experience superb and last week it made me never want to come back. Because of this I am going to say it was due to the wait staff… Regardless, I will give the establishment two stars. Pros: –Parking lot is big. –Establishment itself is huge and can hold quite a lot of people. –Prices seem fairly reasonable, especially for a diner –Both times I have dined here, I never waited Cons: (on my second visit) –it took TWENTY minutes for me to get a coffee refill –my waitress only checked on my table one time –she had all the time to check on the table behind me, but not my table As I previously stated, I cannot judge too harshly on Pete’s for this servers incompetence. Perhaps she was having a bad day and decided to take it out on my friend and I. However, it is not cool. I am a paying customer and felt neglected. Also, my friend was pregnant and hungry lol… there were a couple of times she wanted a tomato juice refill and another order of fruit and our waitress was nowhere to be found. We are not the type of people to be rude and summon people over when they are busy with other guests, so we kept quiet and patiently waited out turn when she ignored us and kept visiting the booth right behind us. Pete’s Diner should train their employees on better customer service rather than hiring anyone of the street who has prior knowledge in the food industry. Just because good ol’ Linda can carry a tray on her shoulder doesn’t mean she should get to interact with the general public…

I have been coming here for almost 9 years now and the food and service has always been consistent. The portions are large enough to share and they are always accommodating to any special requests! We live close by and sometimes will pick up and take home to eat. The burgers are amazing and if you like French onion soup then you must try theirs. I stay away on Sunday morning since it’s always so busy and always a wait to be seated but hey… that’s a good sign right? Update 5−4−14 I have to say we just had one of the most disappointing dinners ever, if it weren’t for the French onion soup ordered with our meal I would have walked away still hungry… I’m hoping to give it another shot but it really wasn’t the bright clean place it had been a couple of months ago. Here’s hoping it was just an off night(not busy) just off.

We visit sometimes for lunch. The food and the customer care is always consistent. You’re seated politely, your server arrives within moments and the food is ready before you know it. Always packed, and for good reason. If there’s a queue, it’s worth the wait. Amongst the many diners out there, this one remains one of our favorites.

«HUGE Portions, Good Diner Food, Good Service» Peter’s Diner — the name says it all — it’s a DINER. And as diner’s go, it’s great. good service, good food and HUGE portions. Every entrée gets soup and salad — and not a small cup of soup either! I made the mistake of ordering a bowl of soup and out came a 12″ bowl of soup! Their entrée soup and salad are most places’ regular portions. Breakfast is always available and it’s great. Great homefries, eggs — the works. Entrees and specials, we have had a number of them and they are pretty good. Is it 5 star, white linen, gourmet fare? No. Is their Chicken Parm equal to an Italian Restaurant’s? No. However — it is tasty, abundant, fast and reasonable. As I said — it’s a diner and as a diner — it’s pretty perfect. The desserts are also gargantuan and tasty to boot.
