Red Roof Inn

This place was a depressing dump. The room smelled of smoke, to the point where my skin was tingling and crawling at the same time. The A/​C unit was on its last legs and it made a lot of noise. I found an empty bottle of vodka under the mattress while checking for bugs. I tried to stay here, but I demanded a refund and stayed at a Wyndam in Winchester, VA. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Rooms not clean. Hairs everywhere. Front desk rude and stupid. Doesn’t know how business debit card looks like. Never stay again. Take other motel people

I can’t give no stars, but it should be zero star. I am a Chinese, my Husband is white. I have never been discriminate by anyone during the last 14 years of my life in America, but today in Redroof Inn, a female staff denied me to exchange quarters for a washing machine, but when my Husband asked for the quarters, he had no trouble. When I confronted her later, she was a little shocked but said she was doing me a big favor because they are not suppose to help exchange paper money for coins. Really? So if you are not white, be careful you may not get the respect you deserve here in this Redroof Inn.

Red roof card machine has problem or person does not know how to use the machine lady called me at 3.00 am at night to come down and pay the bills or we will kick you out. I am staying here almost for a week this is the way to treat on day before check out.
Day before I had conversation regarding this with another person and she was agreed to do all the things on check out time.

The room was clean, smelled fine, the air worked as did all of the other items in the room. The fridge did freeze everything, but I would rather have that then no fridge and microwave at all. I do know that not every room has a fridge and microwave, which in this day and for this price seems odd. I stay at Red Roof Inn’s because my pet can stay free. I also feel that most of the RRI’s prices are reasonable. I did appreciate the multiple outlets as well, which was mentioned previously by another reviewer. The room didn’t block out much of the noise though, but I was so tired that I seemed to manage to sleep in spite of this and despite being awakened by loud noises outside and above me several times. I kind of wish there was assigned parking spaces as I found myself without anywhere close to my room to park multiple times and having to lug a lot as a disabled person is tough.

First off, this is not a five star motel. However, it gets five stars from me and here is the list why.
1. Pet friendly, and free.
2. Clean comfortable room.
2a. Front desk called us to make sure everything was ok within 30 minutes of arrival.
3. OUTLETS for two smartphones, tablet, Wilkie talkies, with room for more.
4. A liner in the trash can so I could scoop out the cat box without feeling guilty about leaving it in an unlined can.
5. TV with HBO and AMC so we got to watch GOT and MadMen finale.
6. Free Wifi
6. Under $ 60 for two adults and two cats.
If you are looking for an inexpensive, pet friendly motel, this is a great choice! We will be back on our next trek south.

At first look the hotel looked very empty from the road, our room was fairly priced and clean. The only issue we had was the smell of our room, it just smelled old or like it hadn’t been used in a while.

By far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in on a ten day long trip across the country! Room smelled stale and horrible. Air conditioner didn’t provide any cold air. Clean room, sheets and towels but not updated. Wi-​Fi signal was minimal although it did work. Not close to many restaurants.

WTF! $ 69.99 for free wi-​fi, that’s about it. Walls and ceilings are paper thin, and our room #120 was directly across from the ice machine… which was used every 10 minutes from 5:00am on. The only consolation was clean sheets and towels.

Fridge in room worked well. Kept my items well chilled. Also their location is good. Near the Waffle House, McDonalds, and others.
Service was great for my one night stay.

Had to raise them from 3 to 4 stars because I stayed with them again. The guest next door had the TV way up too loud even at 2AM. I finally called the front desk, and they gave me a key to another room. I didn’t even have to move… just gave me a room to sleep in.
These guys were awesome. Would definitely stay again.
