Went for hubby’s 70th birthday dinner. He got his usual filet steak. Cooked to perfection but we can’t understand why they always serve it with this nasty tomato cabbage side. I’m not sure if they would substitute something else. I ordered the chicken marsala which was delicious. The side of pasta was cold and I couldn’t eat it. All in all, the service was excellent, the atmosphere and décor is cozy comfortable and the food is very well prepared and delicious.

There was eight of us so I am going to give an overall rating with some detail on each of the meals. Starting with the negative. My wife got the seafood medley. Way overcooked. Calamari was tough. Mussels as well. She sent it back. They offered to remake but wife refused. It was still on the bill when we got it. I had to say some for waitress so response I could see if they would take it off the bill. My meal was the chicken picatta. I thought it was good. Weird that it came with a side of marinara pasta. 4 others ordered the lasagna. Was good. Nothing special. They apparently make it every week and yesterday happened to be the day. Bread with their pepper sauce was good. NY York strip cooked well. 300 bucks total. Probably not a repeat. Location is suspect.

My Wife and I took my parents and hers out for a special dinner and Morrone’s did not disappoint. The food was outstanding, as was the service. Our meals ran the gamut… I had a filet, my Wife and Mother had the chicken piccata… Dad had the veal… and the in laws had the seafood melody and a Delmonico. All were cooked to perfection. Add desserts and a good bottle of wine and we had one hell of a great meal. As I said, service was great… from the time of reservation(they offered to pick a specialty cake from a local bakery if we needed them too) to the end of the meal. Just really special.
