Food here is probably top 3 to 5 brunches in TC. The food is tasty. The price is just about right for the food, although they could stand to add just a bit more to the plates.

Good course if you like Clowns and windmills. The greens and approach areas wouldn’t hold Phil Mickelson’s shots. Save your money and play anywhere else.

Excellent lunch there today with the best view in town! BLT wrap was excellent and generous $ 10. My half size Cobb salad was great at $ 8. Very nice wait staff. Highly recommend this gem for lunch.

Golf Course … one of the best courses I have played. Excellent turf conditions, firm and fast everywhere. A course that is high end but welcoming to the general pubic, good atmosphere and staff in the club house. Definitely no shred of the«you’re sure lucky to be here» attitudes you get at many higher end courses. Tough course, not easy to recover from errant shots. I will definitely be back. Restaurant … beautiful deck overlooking the property and Grand Traverse bay, hard to beat for a drink after the round. Menu is more geared toward fine dining than a casual drop in. Great service and food.

Delicious brunch and friendly staff! Everyone here is delightful and fun to talk to! The drinks are delicious and the food is perfectly diverse and fun! Lots of great brunch and dinner options! Their specially made, namesake ice cream by Moomers is amazing! You have to try it!

One of the top golf courses I have ever placed. I haven’t eaten here like most of the reviews here — this review is strictly based on the golfing and the pro shop. I was on vacation with the family and came to play here with my brother for an early morning round. Driving up you’re greeted by a giant gate house and gate to let you into the property where you make a serpentine-line way down to the bag drop passed the member’s lounge. This place exudes class when it comes to golf. After you drop off your bags and walk into the Pro Shop there is a ton of items to choose from including, if you wanted to, Scott Camerons for sale on top of your normal apparel. The starter and the rangers are all super nice. They gave us a run down of the course, the Pro-tips, and were super friendly to deal with. The course is in pristine shape with huge elevation changes that give you a great view of Lake Michigan. With this great view comes great winds so be prepared for intense winds after the first few holes as you’re pretty much along the coast of the lake. The set-up of the course is great and really does make it a truly difficult yet beautiful course.

Oh my! Beautiful place, great food. Hidden gem at TC. Try the whitefish and the LochenHeath ice cream for dessert. And get a patio table; you won’t be sorry.

This place was excellent. I had the short ribs and they were very tender and flavorful. Others had the tenderloin and the whitefish. All were great! Beautiful setting overlooking West Bay!

We never knew this restaurant existed until last last year. Probably the best kept fine dining secret in Traverse City, seriously. The entrance is not marked, you just turn into the Lochenheath golf course and follow a long winding road until you get to the restaurant. At night, there are only your headlights to guide the way. The pro shop is at the front of the restaurant, so it seems like it might be a typical golf course restaurant, you know, nothing special. After you walk through the pro shop, you enter the dining room, decorated with trendy«Tuscan» colors, again, nothing special. However, the food is spectacular. The service impeccable. Complimentary amuse bouche, house made prosciutto, gorgeous fresh veggies and ice cream made just for them from«Moomers,» the local favorite. The flavor combinations were inspired and beautifully presented. Sad news though, only open from golf season through December, closed for the heaviest part of winter. If you go for dinner in December, as we did, and think you are driving aimlessly along the unlit drive, do not despair, just keep driving, you will get there, we did. A great little dining adventure in our own backyard, so to speak.

The food was A-OK, but I’m deeming Lochenheath a four star because the view was fantastic! Amazingly manicured lawn looking out over Lake Michigan. The ambiance, landscaping and rarity of this unknown restaurant is a hidden gem in the small township of Elk Rapids. As for food, I went with a group of ten. The best dishes for brunch were the blue cheese salad, pesto sandwich(is giant) and any and all of the deserts. My personal favorite was the chocolate chocolate chocolate one. Go before the crowds hit.

Now open to the public! The scallops were to die for… accompanied by couscous. I always love seafood, but from time to time Northern Michigan restaurants serve those little bay scallops. The sea scallops were cooked to perfection with lovely sauce and seasoning. I also tried the Deluxe Prime Burger, which had a delicious bun, bacon, olives, and onion. Those waffle fries were also amazing. Highly suggest LochenHeath… it’s a perfect place to eat after a long day on the beautiful course.
