My Seafood Curry was swimming in sauce, I couldn’t tell what vegetables were actually in it. Then my SO was violently ill. This was the only meal that we hadn’t shared so it was the only culprit as, I was fine. We will not visit this location again.

Since my original review I have been back quite a few times. Each time I get the pad Thai, it has become my favorite, and I really don’t know what else to get. It is good, I get crazy hot and add some hot peppers to it. It is good. Service is good. Give this place a try.

Always great Thai food. Our favorite Asian restaurant in Williamsburg. Definitely worth a try.

Best Pad Thai we’ve had in months! Quick and kind service, fresh food, huge shrimp and clean environment… loved it!

The food was served hot and timely. It tasted great. We got service with a smile. The place was clean and the prices were decent. We will be back.

Don’t know why this place gets dinged. Food here is consistently well prepared. Stir fry dishes done well with crisp vegetables and curry is excellent. Always good. Probably one of the top 5 places in Williamsburg.

First time visit. Place seems authentic and limits menu to Thai dishes(no other Southeastern Asian cuisine). Well decorated and not too small or too big. Staff hustles. More importantly, food was decent(based on only two dishes and appetizers) although my wife said green curry sauce was a bit thin. Best Thai food we have had in our two years in Williamsburg and we will return.

I wanted to give Bangkok Garden three stars, but when I got home I found a piece of glass in my food. That’s never happened to me before. The service was lacking. I won’t be coming here again. The Pad Ke Mao didn’t hold a candle to noodles I’ve had in the DC Area and NYC. Avoid at all costs!

This Thai restaurant has an appealing atmosphere and is waited by attentive, polite staff. I ordered a Thai iced coffee, Tom Yum Kah soup, and Panang vegetable and tofu curry. The coffee was mediocre. Spicy and tasty describe the soup, while the Panang was savory with crisp veggies. This isn’t the best Thai food I’ve had – that would be in Spokane, Washington – but when in Rome do like the Romans do, right?

Decided to stop by late night to grab some thai with the wife. Right as you enter — you’ll see the decorative ambiance fits the food immediately, that’s already a plus if you like that type of thing. I ordered the Spicy Orange Chicken while the wife got the Pad Thai. Ok — I don’t know how to describe my standards when it comes to food but I guess it just has to be tasty — satisfying — filling. I’m not much for fancy smancy food that you pay top dollar for only to get measly servings — but just give me some of that home cooking you know? The orange chicken that i got here was quite possibly the best orange chicken that I’ve had in a while. Perhaps this is all a joke to the chef’s in the back — where this meal took them like 5 minutes to make — just adding a couple of sauces they brought from the market. But if this is an actual homemade sauce — then they’re sitting on a gold mine. It was so good I actually tipped a little bit more than I normally do — much to the angst of my wife. :) I like… never do that. It was really good. The Pad Thai was ok — but I’m not a fan. But man that orange chicken was good… when I’m in the area again — I’m definitely grabbing that next time. Plus the portions were so good that I have some to eat tomorrow morning. :) Service was good — but we were like one of two people in the restaurant — but who goes out and eats thai at 9:30 pm? Us apparently. So. Good.

This is a Thai restaurant with excellent service beautiful interiors and delicious dishes for those who truly love the Thai cuisine don’t be fooled by the tourist trap this is the authentic item I’ve been there several times while visiting Williamsburg and that always pleases my palette and my sensibilities. prompt courteous service, wonderful aroma and i delicious desserts the menu is deep and very unlike another Thai restaurant in town that is very cookie cutter pedestrian I really like the mango sticky rice and custard

I’m sorry but I’m disappointed. I just had dinner with my father and it was nasty. I just had a simple pad Thai and they messed up. My father had chicken with peanut sauce and it was cold and there was to much sugar taste. What a waste of $ 45.00!

Great Thai food! Beautiful inside. Try the Thai seafood dumplings, wonderful. Good service and value. Cups of soups are$ 5.50 and the best deal going.

Only ever been here for take-out. Always very quick and food is very good. Just so gosh darn expensive. The only reason that I come back here is because there is nowhere else to get Pad See Ew without going to Newport News, which isn’t always feasible with my schedule. Bottom line: Good food, but over-expensive.

The interior is beautiful and superbly clean. The menu is very well laid out and descriptive. Our waitress did not know much English but it didn’t hinder our ordering. The spring rolls were excellent. We shared a green and other type of curry. The green was nicely spicy and it paired well with the more savory and peanut-y one. I wish I could remember what the name of it was. Either way all of it was very good and it is a solid Thai place. I wish we had remembered to get the coconut soup to try.

I’ve been here multiple times and I think it’s the best Asian restaurant in Williamsburg; I’ve taken family and friends to this place and have never been disappointed The staff is attentive and friendly, and I’ve never had to wait an unreasonable amount of time for service or for food, even during peak hours. The Pad Thai is a little too sweet for me personally, but my friends like it and it’s still a popular choice here. I like their summer roll appetizer dish, as well as their panang curry! It’s great to put the curry sauce over your rice bowl for a spicy coconut kick! Would recommend coming here if you like Thai food, just to give it a shot!

This was a fantastic place, especially for the price. The coconut soup was excellent, and the tofu special recommended by the staff was great. We also had green curry veggies and tofu made mild, which was excellent. Skip the aps — the good stuff is the main meal.

The restaurant kind of looks like a religious temple on the inside with oriental music playing in the background and oriental décor throughout the restaurant. One of the most delicious Thai Iced Tea I’ve ever had. The size of the drink was larger than most places I’ve been to. Each entrée came with a house salad with ginger dressing. My party ordered Pineapple Fried Rice(which came with cashews, pineapple chunks, shrimp, chicken, tomato, and egg). The dish was flavorful and surprisingly, not tomato based; Sweet and Sour Chicken(which came with carrots, red /green bell peppers, baby corn, pineapple chunks, cucumber, and onion. The dish tasted delicious but the sauce was light and runny.; and Pad See Ew with Shrimp(which came with broccoli and egg). The dish came with thinner wide noodles and the sauce was not sweet but on the salty side. All dishes were garnished with oranges and carrots on a bed of lettuce /cabbage. I loved how all the ingredients were fresh! We were too full for dessert but they had a wide variety of traditional desserts(e.g., mango sticky rice, baked taro custard, etc)!

Bangkok Garden is my favorite Thai restaurant. Tonight I got one of my go to favorites Vegetarian Green Curry. The curry has the right amount of spice to it and has lots of veggies. My favorite thing about this dish is that they don’t fry their tofu unlike most Thai restaurants. We also got the steamed tofu roles with spicy peanut sauce. Super yummy! The food is served in large portions and the salad that comes with the meal has the best ginger dressing ever.

This restaurant is very pretty and ornate. The service is always great as well. I’ve had a lot of Thai food in my life, and this place is okay for Williamsburg. I ordered a deep fried whole fish, which had a decent amount of meat(good thing because it cost almost $ 20), but was a bit fishy. But I knew not to expect much in terms of fresh seafood in Williamsburg, VA. I also ordered a soup which was nice and hot, just the way I like it. Every meal seems to come with a complimentary bowl of salad as well. The menu is fairly extensive and the food tasty and well-presented. Definitely a solid Thai establishment.
