I don’t know if the gloves the deli dept. personnel wear are to protect the consumer or to protect their hands. I do not purchase deli meats there anymore. I have seen workers scratch their faces, touch their hair, door knobs, the«next» number button, go into the back room to get new rolls of meat, touch counters, grab knife handles and then cut the customer’s meat. so gross and dangerous. There should be designated people to cut meat and they should apply gloves when the meat arrives at the meat blade. I wish the manager would stand and observe this terrible practice. I love that Wegmans offers organic deli meats and that is what I did purchase until I just couldn’t tolerate the possibility of becoming I’ll. Love the rest of the store, though.

I don’t know if I have ever been this impressed with a supermarket. I popped in to Wegmans to grab a few quick things to take back to the hotel and was absolutely blown away by the layout and the quality on display here. Fantastic hot bar with lots of things completely read to eat including meatballs and rotisserie chicken pieces and chicken parm and lasagna. Fantastic cold bar with lots of salads including potato salad and a great quinoa salad. Great looking bakery counter. Produce. OMG, great. I wish there was a Wegmans near me. It would give Publix and Harris Teeter a run for their money.

I love this Wegmans! They have amazing muffins, cookies & sushi! I always get sushi here because it’s so unique and fresh. It’s fun to try something new. This place is organized, clean and has everything you could possibly want. Everything from fancy cheeses & organic rotisserie chickens. They have a GREAT bakery section and tons of hot food that you can take in containers. Their beer selection is good, too. I took away 1 star because their Chinese food is disappointing, they’re a little pricey and they don’t have Boar’s Head cold cuts.

I didn’t go to this Wegmans today, but I’ve gone a few times in the past with a friend and his girlfriend and have always been very pleased with the selection. Not only that, but a few times we would hang out at a table and shoot the breeze for hours on end and nobody told us to leave. Always loved this supermarket.

This is the closest thing to whole foods we have in northern Pennsylvania. Great health food and products, served or off the shelf. Its a market and an eatery. Not 1 supermarket in the nepa valley compares to this one. If you hear any different then its got to be that percentile you cant please no matter what. Walk through at least once you wont regret it.

I remember one time at Wegmans this old woman just kept running her cart into me – I actually had to tell her to «Hold on. Wait. You can’t go through right now.» She wanted the eggplant I was picking out, it was so obvious and she thought because she was old she could just play this game and push her cart into me. Wegmans has a good variety of Artisan Cheeses, and everything just feels more expensive even if it’s not. It’s high society grocery shopping, and you feel like you’re really going somewhere when you go there. I shop at the Price Chopper in Kingston where a man put a bunch of crackers in the Lobster Tank once. I also dropped a yogurt on the floor there and didn’t feel bad as where if I was in Wegmans I would probably contact someone about the yogurt splotch on the floor. Wegmans also has pepperoni cheesy bread sticks in their bagel department. The bagels, bread section is where it’s at — I’ve recently slimmed down and lost about twenty five pounds, so I’m not really itching to go back to the bagel heaven that is Wegmans and start pounding everything bagels like they’re shots of fire water. My friend Mugg actually orders that shot at the bar, I’ve never once seen the bartender pour the hot sauce in the tequila they usually just say here’s the bottle do it yourself — like he doesn’t have any dignity or anything. So all in all: Go to Wegmans if you want to go grocery shopping but also want to tell your friends and family you did something with your day. «What’d you do?» «Went to Wegmans.» Just seems like something, doesn’t it?

Best grocery store in the area in my opinion. I have been shopping here for years and I’ve never been disappointed with their products. Some people find this store to be a little pricey but when comparing prices with walmart I’ve noticed many of the items are priced the same, and it’s cheaper than price chopper. It is a stark contrast compared to the wilkes barre walmart. Shelves are always stocked, the store is very tidy, check out is fast. The only complaint I’d have is much of the produce is gone by the time it’s 4pm, but that’s because this place is popular and it is often packed. Their app is amazing for making grocery lists — you can look up the exact item, and it shows what aisle it’s in gives you a total.

This is as good as it gets when it comes to grocery stores, and they are so much more. I hate to go grocery shopping except when we go here. Wow there made to order subs or has we call them hoagies are simply the best as are there store brand items which are top notch. The only bad thing is Wilkes Barre is the closest one. Please come to Hazleton Area, please please please.

Came to see what the beer selection was. It had a very diverse selection with plenty to chose from. Sadly the service was not nearly as good. Came at 9:30. I understand I came late and they were closing in 30, but it does not excuse the poor service. They line the shopping carts throughout the opening blocking your path. They was no attendant at the register, so I walked over to the main checkout, but was directed back. The manager did not even bother to show us the register. We just wondered around until we found the attendant who was not at the register.

If you’re traveling through, this grocery store is worth a stop! Wegmans offers a large selection of by-the-pound(July 2014 it was $ 8.49/lb) hot and cold food options with a nice restaurant style atmosphere as well as a section of kid tables my toddler loved! Items I saw while there: Made to order subs, pizza, Asian option such as sushi or general tso’s, salad bar, chicken tenders, Mac & cheese, fruit, pasta salads, soups, coffee bar, etc. This place was the perfect choice for our family as my husband had Chinese food, I had the salad bar with sliced chicken breast, and our toddler had fruit and pasta salad. I liked that they had the calories clearly posted by each item. If we pass through this area again we would come back because this grocery store offered a pleasant, clean atmosphere with a huge selection. I was also able to pick up some travel essentials as we continued our voyage, always a plus! I gave it four out of five stars because the food layout was a little all over the place. A bar of hot foods, next to two cold bars with another hot bar after that. Ended up circling a bit before we got everything. If you aren’t familiar with this place, finding drinks, forks, and napkins were a bit of a hunt if you come through the grocery store side. They are in Wegmans dining area. BTWHUGE beer selection. If we weren’t traveling we would have taken advantage of this!

I would live here if they let me. So many options in the food court. Chinese, Sushi, Pizza, Salads, healthy choices, and more. Everything is always delicious and fresh. Great beer selection. Best grocery store in the area. Organic, gluten free, and other options. Great meat and seafood selection. Great ethnic good supplies as well. Better prices than most local grocery stores.

To rate any other supermarket in the 570 any number of stars over Wegmans is completely laughable. Most reviewers who do this also think Wegmans has an apostrophe in it. It doesn’t. But apparently bad grammar dances with bad taste in groceries. It’s all about attention to detail, kids, and Wegmans has it. Wegmans has all the every day items plus generous selections of international and organic foods. The pricing is fair. The way I see it — if I am going to spend extra somewhere, it’s going to be on my health. Speaking of, I love the fact I can also pick up a case of Longboard lager on my way out of the café. I kill that café at least once a week. It’s great how you can grab a box and fill it with Chinese food, fruit, AND pizza and pay by the pound. And the deli is severely underrated. Great location, easy parking, clean, and organized. Nobody does it better in the 570 than Wegmans!

Simple, Wegmans is hands down the best grocery market in eastern PA. No other grocery comes close. Their produce is beautiful, prices are reasonable, customer service is stellar and they have fresh Sushi. Can it get any better; I think not. please, please, please Wegmans, expand to western PA.

I love Wegmans. Yes, luv. It is like taking the best parts of Whole Foods(ie, freshness, organic, ready-made foods, etc) but sold at Food Emporium/ShopRite prices. Save $ yall. Unfortunately, there are no Wegmans in North Jersey. Instead WF is eating my wallet(WF make my wallet emaciated). Wegmans are located in the middle of nowhere, ethnically-challenged boondogs/hinterlands. Why? I am certain that Wegmans can compete with WF in North Jersey and prosper, notwithstanding the high real estate costs.

Best grocery going. They have a huge selection. They have just about all the natural and exotic selections of a Whole Foods plus mid– and lower-priced items. There’s a restaurant, beer store, sushi, coffee bar, bakery, pharmacy, reading area, international foods, and an organic/natural dedicated section to make it easy… etc. plus, the produce selection is like a farmers’ market open every day. Some think its expensive, but it only seems that way because they stock ALL price ranges.

This has got to be the coolest grocery store I have ever been to in my life. I was on a 2 month cross-country roadtrip last year and stopped in PA to hang out with a friend. She took us to Wegman’s to get some dinner and I’ve gotta say, I was floored by this place. I mean, it’s a grocery store, how cool can it be, right? That’s what I thought, being a college student living on Save-a-Lot and Aldi’s. But dude, this place is schweet. They even have a daycare and cooking classes — what kind of a grocery store has cooking classes lol?! I wasn’t there to shop, but from what I could see they had a HUGE selection of ethnic foods, lactose-free foods, gluten-free foods, and vegan foods. Kudos for that, too. That said, I was scared to look at any of the price tags.

This is a great store and is by far the best grocery store in NEPA. The HIGHLIGHTS: — Amazing natural foods selections — Impressive selection of beef, lamb, veal, pork, and chicken — Impressive deli and prepared foods area — GREAT beer store — A decent cheese selection, especially when you consider the location of this store — Friendly staff at every turn — VERY short checkout lines — A nice international foods area The ISSUES: — Their seafood selection can be a little disappointing at times. Also, the fish can sometimes look a little weathered. — Layout — If even moderately busy, the produce section and deli area can be utter chaos. Overall, a fantastic one-stop shopping experience!
