I was unimpressed with the Chicken Coop for our dinner experience. Maybe I chose poorly, or maybe they were having an off night. I ordered the toasted ravioli to start. They were nicely filled with chicken and the blue cheese was helpful because they were dry as bones. Hard and crunchy, really. My main course was the boneless chicken wings. Served in a bowl, it was nearly chicken soup with the amount of sauce. The chicken bits were also dry and crunchy. Perhaps the bone-in wings would have been a better choice and if I return to Chicken Coop, that’s what I’ll have next time. Several TV’s all around make this place an ideal spot for watching the game with your dinner. A decent number of beer choices, but why isn’t there anything printed or clearly posted? Our waitress had to rattle them off for us.

We went Saturday before the Penguins game. We got there at 545 and didn’t get our food until 645 when we ordered right away. They were not crowded either. The food was just ok, server was ok. We will not be back– shouldn’t take an hour for wings and burgers in a half empty bar.

Had a great time there last night! My wife and kids loved the wings and fries. Service was very good also. The owner even gave my kids pickles to go…(they are pickle fanatics). Thanks we will definitely come again.

Visited last night and tried some other flavors. I really liked their cajun sauce and the crinkle cut fries were really good. They also had good specials on draft beer adn service was pleasant. I would like to return to try some additional flavors and at the very least, have more cajun wings. Yum.

Good food and good service. A nice place for sports people also. A little pricey but quality food. Tv’s all over and a nice bar. Worth the trip.

I was not at this location, I was in the Old Forge location. There was not a Unilocal there. I was told same owners so here’s my review… In my opinion, not good at all. Went on a Sunday as I said to the Old Forge location, I ordered the«famous wings» in hot garlic also it was ½ price burger day, so I got one with bacon and cheese. Wings– not crispy, very small and not really hot. The buttery garlic sauce that was drizzled over top of the already sauced wings was greasy, oily, & garlicky. I’ve had better wings for sure. Not a fan. The burger– the bun was stale first off. I ordered medium rare. The burger was well done. The flavor of the beef was good tho, seemed like better quality beef. The 2 slabs of bacon were good. I’d rather not go back. Thanks anyway and I’m glad I did stop. Now I can say I’ve been there.

I literally grew up eating the Chicken Coop’s wings. I started with them back in late 80’s, when the owner used to cook in a small pub in Plains. I’ve had the chance to sample wings from all around the country and still come back to their General Alarm wings as one of top 3 favorites ever, offering a high degree of heat and flavor.

Not bad. I like the wings and the pizza is good. If I had to complain it would be that the service is a little slow and the beer selection could be better. I do recommend the food however so check it out.

Not that great. I really had a jones for some wings and figured I would give the place a try. I realize that wings are wings but these were cooked a little too long. Also, they had a funny aftertaste that I can’t quite place. At $ 7.00 per doz, I think I will hit the local bar near my house next time. On the plus side, service was good.

The wings are flavorless soggy garbage. I stressed to them when I ordered that I like them hot and they assured me they were plenty hot. Most other places milds are hotter, it was joke. I guess hot means bland at the chicken coop. Never again, I dont know how they are still open.

I ordered the Mozzy Burger and some waffle fries. It was ok, a little on the greasy side. Not sure if it was the quality of meat or something else. Service was a little slow for a night that was not busy. Would I eat here again? I guess, but honestly I’d rather go right up the street to the Arena Bar or to Café 99 in Parsons.

I’m VERY picky about wings since its by far my favorite food and I thought these were terrific. I was skeptical but by far my favorite in the area so far. Service was great and the other food was great too! Can’t beat giant tv’s with football and half price burgers on Sundays! I recommend

My husband and I went to check out this place for their wings. Overall, food was horrible, wings were gross, and the soda tasted funky!!! It’s a total bar type place and I would never go back. The service was even slow. The only good thing about it was the atmosphere inside. You had the local PA bar goers and some great deco on the walls but thats about it. So if you are looking for good food… this is NOT the place to go!!!
