I had a delicous cup of pour over Ethiopian coffee when I stopped in. The owner is as sweet as pie and was very helpful in helping me make my coffee choice. If I’m ever in the area again I will surely stop by again!

I gotta say, this fucking place is incredible. The woman who I assume is the owner can not be from this planet. She gave us an astounding amount of information in a short period of time and followed it up by making us the best cup of coffee we’ve ever had. Alternative culture freaks, get to this spot ASAP!

Passing through and found this gem. Excellent flavor. No need for latte art. Best coffee in the area.

Don’t come here if you’re expecting a Starbucks experience. This place is anything but commercial. The owner, Soni, is so passionate about every aspect of her business, from explaining her imported coffee beans to demonstrating how the top pour works, right down to the soap in her bathroom and the paintings on her walls. I was only there once but it was such a pleasure talking with Soni. Her energy is so genuine that it will be easy for me to continue to support her small business. A must-visit for art lovers and artists alike; health food enthusiasts; and of course, coffee lovers. Give this local business the business they deserve!

Coffee is great. Prices are good. There is only street parking but that’s to be expected in Wilkes Barre. The man that runs the coffee shop had been friendly every time I’ve gone in. I would recommend this shop to a friend.

I would implore anyone to come here instead of Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks when you have the chance. I admit I frequent those locations more often than not due to the level of convenience. But, at IBOP, the coffee is made with LOVE. They make each cup of coffee fresh in front of you and engage in polite conversation. The design is very chill. Art books line the walls, and there are several different seating options. When my friend and I lived closer to each other, we would sit in the window and talk for hours over a cup of coffee. This place is very special to my heart and this is the environment the owners cultivate. I wish I could go here more often.

I had a really good iced Chai Latte to go(although I ordered the red Chai Latte). I also tried the lunch salad thing with quinoa, kale, red beans. It was pretty good, very healthy and quite filing, but was missing something. .maybe a spritz of lime or something to brighten it up. .I’m not sure. But at least it was a filing lunch that didn’t make me want to nap afterward. The owner was super friendly amd very talkative and seemed very passionate about their drinks and food. They were out of pastries and I would’ve liked to try one.

The coffee is fresh roasted and freshly ground. Awesome coffee and the owner is as honest as can be. When I tried to tip him, he said it was too much and gave me back some of it. Love this place.

First off, coffee was incredible. Get their specialty«New Orleans» or «Kyoto.» They are unlike anything you’ve ever tasted. Secondly, what an incredible staff. So polite, so talkative and friendly. Offered samples to people who weren’t sure what they wanted. You could easily end up chatting there at the counter for some time, but the owner is so enjoyable that its just part of the great experience that is IBOP. I was only in town for about 18 hours on work and I still went there twice. Please give them the business they deserve.

Stopped in here for a caffeine break pit stop on my way from Virginia up to Kingston, NY. I used the Unilocal app to find the place. It looked promising due to the good reviews on Unilocal. Parking was a bit difficult, I had to circle the block to find a spot on the street park. Inside, the place is not much to look at. There were a couple of students hanging out, drinking coffee and studying. I ordered their dark roast pour over. As with pour overs — it takes a few minutes to grind the beans then slowly pour the hot water over the grounds. I got it to go. Overall, a good coffee. It was not as dark, bold, and smoky as I was hoping for. I guess I have been spoiled expectation-wise by Blue Bottle and Philz Coffee! The lady working the counter was very nice.

Great coffee. A little pricey but each cup is made by hand. Soni is more than willing to listen to you and find you something you’ll love. I’ve never had any food. The café is very clean. The hours are tough for me as a parent, later hours would actually be better but that may not be ideal for everyone. Great place to grab a coffee or coffee related beverage. I can’t recommend them high enough. Last star was due to hours and pricey nature of coffee for the area.

So, I’ve been here a few times since my last review, and I really do think this place deserves an updated review from yours truly. They now have food options(vegan and gluten free) and the owners are just SO friendly. The vibe in there is really chill, and very urban. I think it’s a great addition to Wilkes-Barre, and I love it.

This adorable little haven of a café was the perfect solution to our cold day, best idea to stop in for some absolutely delicious and unique hot vegan meals, as well as cold salads. Quinoa and kale dish and hand made veggie-grain burger dish. was so hot and curriful. Everything is house made with love, and theres no gimmick. Local, organic and non GMO. The coffee was so clean and neatly prepared and some of the best flavored drip I’ve ever had. You know what im talking about if you enjoy lunch and a nice latte. So nice, the owner is an angel and served us and talked with us about important matters in the dining world. I cant wait to come back. Great place to have a nice date, great great great!!!

It’s so nice to go to a place that: has high quality products. Employees who are nice and actually give a shit. A place that ISNT Starbucks or any other chain. And also a place that isn’t super expensive; this place is actually very moderately priced! Love it. Highly recommended!

Only had one experience thus far, but I will definitely be coming back again. I was so turned on by the fact that they partnered with Hillside Farms, another local establishment, by using their dairy products(glass bottles make ALL the difference). So, by buying coffee here, it’s like supporting two for the price of one. Interior is quaint and artistic. All of their products are organic, and the coffee is Fair Trade, which is always a thumbs up in my book. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Frankly, they are doing things right in my opinion: sleek and well-written website, awesome décor, great coffee, unique brewing methods, treats and new vegetarian food options. This coffee shop is a great asset to the city of Wilkes-Barre, which needs a serious comeback. I’ll continue to support them because my only hope is that more shops follow in it’s footsteps. My only recommendations are to list their phone number somewhere, and if they don’t have one… get one. Maybe I am blind, but I didn’t see one on the website, Facebook page or Google. Would have been helpful when I had questions about their coffee. I showed up anyhow, but just needed some things cleared up. Also, expand their food/baked goods menu a little bit. I totally get the idea of being a ‘coffee-only’ joint, but if you are going to have even a few options, have a decent selection. I love the idea of the Soni bowl and veggie burger, but one or two more items OR a larger selection of baked goods would be sufficient. However, I LOVE that the food is Asian inspired! Overall, great shop! Support local business and take back our community.

Great modern, city atmosphere. Hand-poured coffee, REAL mochas(made with handmade cocoa paste, not flavored syrup), great music, and incredibly friendly owners. Excellent place in downtown Wilkes-Barre to chill with friends, a book, or study.

Ibop knows their coffee, use fresh ingredents, and are extremely friendly. Bit they also charge New York prices for their coffee. I guess you get what you pay for and this coffee shop puts out quality product. I just wish they had an actual breakfast menu here not just organic cookies and muffins. Unfortunately they were closed on a random Saturday morning a couple weeks back.

Newest hidden treasure in WB. The coffee bean they use has a different taste than anyone else around this area. Highly recommend for coffee lovers that love a bold flavor. The owners are completely adorable. I’d rather chose this local joint over Starbucks any day.

This place is awesome. We randomly found it last weekend while we were visiting cousins in PA. Its a cozy coffee shop with extremely knowledgeable owners. They’re charming and are truly passionate about coffee. Wish them the best! Here are some of the coffees we tried and recommend: Coffee Affogato, Cappuccino, and Iced Coffee Latte
