No no no and no. Wildwood has really took a turn for the worse. Eat at home and then come for drinks. Trust me.

Read about this place in a Wildwood guide. Such a disappointment. Place was dead at 7pm on a Saturday for dinner. There’s a downstairs bar and restaurant and an upstairs patio. Downstairs they had Karaōke and they were allowing little kids to sing the whole time. Why would adults want to hang out in a bar/restaurant with kids like that. NOT So we went to the upstairs patio. They make you take back stairs up a disgusting stair way from the street. Then we got upstairs and sat to eat dinner. Only one other table there. Servers were super nice and took good care of us– BUT those poor girls had to apologize for their crappy chef. He messed up our appetizer and salads. All the food came out at the same time too. Management needs to pay attention. We don’t recommend this place.

Good food(especially the seafood), reasonable prices, neat roof top seating, good service. Not many good restaurants in this area of Wildwood and this was decent.

I often find myself at The Deck during the summer after work because it’s close by, I don’t need to take a cab and surprisingly their mixed drinks are very good despite being slightly overpriced. I highly recommend splurging for a Long Island! It’s a great place to dance and to meet people from all over on Euro Monday’s. However, last summer I noticed a number of things begin sliding down hill. Generally, you will see intoxicated girls dancing on the bar and guys will usually get pulled down and told they’re not allowed up there. One night the bouncer ran over, eyes nearly bulging out of his head and shoving costumers out of the way as he went to pull someone off the bar. And by pull I mean forcibly shove off the bar and continue to grab and shake the kid by his neck while screaming at him. If he was too drunk, or it had happened multiple times he should have been escorted out, not physically assaulted. This isn’t the first time I’ve witnessed the same bouncer get physical, but it absolutely crossed the line and definitely made many people uncomfortable. This review may be late, but I hope to see some changes in the way things are run at The Deck this summer or else it may be time to find a new bar.

So after a nice walk on the Boardwalk we decided a cold drink sounded good. We stepped in to the bartended and one patron at the bar. We enjoyed sitting and talking while enjoying a proper poured pint. I imagine the place gets busy during peak season, but on a cool, rainy evening The Bar at The Deck hit the spot. Good service and good conversation. Both make me want to go back for another visit.

Bar Rescue needs to get to this place ASAP. It was undoubtedly one of the more miserable bar experiences I’ve ever had. Drinks were overpriced and did not warrant their price tags. My group ordered Long Island iced teas which tasted atrocious. They’re not exactly hard drinks to make, but the bartenders(there were three, but there was a crowd of around 200 on the roof) seemed as if they had never done this before. Between the wait times(30 minutes for a round of shots!), low quality drinks, and straight up rudeness from the staff(one bartender threw a drink off the bar at a group standing near it), we spent most of the time making fun of the place instead of mingling and enjoying the place which seems like it could be cool considering its on the roof next to the beach. Maybe the place functions on a basic level when there aren’t so many people, but we’ve all been to bars that can handle crowds and not be such an embarrassment. The Jersey Shore has better options(see: any place else).

Decided to go to The Deck with a group of friends after reading some good Unilocal reviews. When we arrived, the downstairs bartender warned us that they were busy and it would be a half an hour wait. We looked around and saw tons of empty tables, so we were confused and were not understanding his warning. We decided to head up to the outdoor deck itself and try our luck. There was an open table that we sat down at right away. There were two waiters and a bartender who were all running around like it was their first day on the job. They were running food to wrong tables and were visibly stressed out. We were sitting for about 5 minutes before I got up and asked the waitress if we could have some menus. She said she would bring them right over, but continued to run around like a chicken with her head cut off instead. There were other people there eating, but it was by no means busy and a half an hour wait for food is just evidence of a poorly run kitchen and inexperienced front of the house staff. My friends and I decided to leave after sitting for 20 minutes at a table that hadn’t even been wiped down. We mutually decided that if this is how long we’re waiting to get a menu, we would be there for the rest of the evening waiting for our food. I am extremely disappointed as it was a nice atmosphere. I hope they get a staff that knows what they’re doing in there and fast.

Stopped in with my family to get some lunch. The Food was good but the service was awesome. The gentlemen behind the bar not only provided drinks, he provided activity information about other restaurants in the area. He also told us about a Holiday parade at Cape May. For those of you that have read The Fred Factor, the gentlemen is a Fred!

My family and I just left The Deck and we really enjoyed the experience. The food was really good and at a good price. We were the only people sitting up on the deck at 5:00 on a beautiful evening which I thought was strange. It may become our every Friday night place to go before fireworks… new review. We ate there again last weekend. We enjoyed the atmosphere other than sun in our eyes while sun was coming down but was very enjoyable once again. My daughter and her friend was joking with bartender most of our meal they had good time. Again we were the only ones there on deck at dinner time. Food was great.

Hands down the worst meal I’ve had in memory, and everyone in my group agreed. I ordered a burger cooked medium, and got a sickly gray, dried up slab of meat. The«sauteed» mushrooms that I ordered to go on it were burnt and rubbery. I thought I could at least enjoy the pickle that came with my dinner, but even this tasted utterly strange and chemical-y. Couldn’t get through half of my meal, it was so bad, and I am not even a picky eater. Another person in our party received the wrong appetizer. A third friend’s meal was completely forgotten and she had to wait an extra ten minutes to eat. ONTOPOFTHIS, a bottle of ketchup exploded all over another of my friends. I also saw a bottle of ketchup explode at a different table. HOWDOESTHATEVENHAPPEN.
