Royal Court Motel

This place is a good motel if you’re a bunch of college kids looking for a cheap place close to the beach. When you check in, you have to wear the wristband they give and you absolutely cannot take it off before you check out, otherwise you lose your deposit and are charged $ 60+ extra for every night you’ve stayed. The wristband was such a pain to have on and I’m my opinion, a really stupid idea. Don’t plan on having any visitors because you’re not allowed to. If you want something nice, do yourself a favor and skip this place. The only nice thing about this place is the fact it’s less than 5 min walk to the boardwalk and the beach. But please do not bring family and kids here. This is an ideal hotel for college students. And not to mention it’s disgusting. And not clean whatsoever. There were clumps on black hair all over the bathroom, the towels weren’t clean and it looked like there were red stuff smeared on the tv. So as I said before, if you’re looking for a nice and clean room, don’t waste your time here.

I have to write a review on this hotel. First off we booked this stay last minute so it was good being that it was last minute. Our stay here had its ups and downs. Let’s start with the room: only had space for us to walk around the bed, no room to stretch. The bathroom is very tiny and the shower curtain was horrible because our floor would be soaked after taking a shower & after making sure it’s sealed. Also the bathroom door knob was completely broken. Next.. The scenery was great, right next to the beach, the pool was very clean and maid came by everyday. So even though it was not fixed up they keep whatever they have, clean. Let’s move on to the BBQ grill, there is only ONE so if 4 families want to cook dinner, you have to either wait or be rushed. Also our friend had their own grill bug the staff complain that it will ruin the concrete. Plus: it was windy so it was very hard for the hotel grill to stay on steady. The staff: they were nice but fake.. They walked around commenting on everything we did, they even accused Us For smoking in the rooms just because the maids said they smelled something. We couldn’t even hang out late or cook on the grill beyond 9−10ish. They made our vacation a little limited on what we considered a good time! Let’s move on to parking: parking is very limited, & if you wanted to save your spot they had ONE cone! When we took that one cone to save our spot they waited till we pulled up and said we can’t save our spot: remind you, another staff said we can. The one lady that over reacted for everything we did was so annoying and took the joy away from us being free on our Paid vacation. Yes we appreciated their rules but they could’ve backed up a little. That made us uncomfortable and we felt picked on and felt like they were being racist! But on the bright side we put that aside and enjoyed our stay with the amazing people/​neighbors we meet. Every day we hung out with another family sharing food and drinks and held conversation. We will definitely go back to wildwoods but not sure exactly at the hotel.

I had the pleasure of staying at this for a few day get away and was pleased. The room was clean along with the bathroom however the shower was very small and could have been bigger. It’s just a short walk to the beach which is great. I will say I was not a fan of the parking, it was piggy back parking and you were either blocked in or you were blocking someone else in. I took a star away because the manager of the hotel had someone on speaker phone who was reading her credit card number and everyone in the lobby could hear. but overall it was a great place to stay for a cheap price.

This place is an older motor lodge/​motel but it was cheap, friendly, 2 minute walk from the beach, clean and had a comfortable bed and pillows. You don’t need more than that if you’re out and about anyway!
