Place was great — sat on the deck watching the boardwalk — staff was great — and if you know how wide the beach is at wildwood you know that this place makes the walk that much shorter ! Pool was immaculate and there were plenty of chairs and towels all 3 days. Nothing to complain about here ! Hopefully this will be our new Wildwood go to spot !

Been coming here the last five years in a row. This is a family friendly hotel so you won’t be dealing with a bunch of drunken twenty somethings. Rooms are clean and spacious. Private rooftop pool and terrace for sun and fun. The hotel is situated right on the boardwalk so as to provide the perfect spot for people watching and the best spot in the house for the Friday night fireworks.

The staff were awesome from the front desk folks to the maid service to the man that maintained the pool. The rooms were super clean and the location was very convenient, as it is right on the boardwalk. The rooftop pool was well maintained and had a nice view of the beach and boardwalk. The only drawback were the size(pretty small) of the room, the dated TV set and the horrible wifi. It would have been nice to have a little table to sit at and have a bite to eat. The wifi was also pretty much THEWORST I have ever encountered. You are better off not even bothering trying to use it because it comes and goes. Even on the off occasion it is working, it is painfully slow. All in all, cleanliness and service are the most important thing to myself and my family. This aspect of the stay was easily worth 5 stars!

Good pricing for a shore motel. Very clean. Very small room, no view of beach from room, but it is right on the boardwalk and it has a ocean beach view from the pool area which is not for kids it goes from 3 ft to 7ft very quickly. Wifi sucks goes in and out, but it was free.

We stayed at AA Heart of Wildwood from August 18 – 21, 2011. When I first called to make the reservation, the owner checked my age and that of my wife, because they evidently don’t rent to younger single people in an attempt to keep out the rowdy party crowd. I was fine with this, as it provided us with a nice peaceful hotel to spend our vacation at. At check-in the owners of the hotel were both present and were really nice people. They checked us in efficiently and guided us to our parking spot. Most of the parking at this hotel is stacked, and if you block in other cars you must leave your keys at the desk so that they can move your car if need be. I was lucky to get a spot in their very small, very tight, but single spaced«garage» under the hotel and thus avoided having to leave my keys or wait for cars to be moved so that I could get out. The outdoor hallways and stairs are on the smaller side, but kept immaculate. We were on the third floor which was only a problem when lugging the suitcases up the stairs. Otherwise it was convenient to the pool on the roof. and literally a few steps off of the boardwalk at Spencer avenue to the stairs to our room. We had a «B» type unit with a King bed. The room was very small, with just enough room to fit the bed, a nightstand on one side, a clothing rack and chair on the other, and a TV unit with drawers, a refrigerator and microwave in front of the bed. The bathroom was decently sized, with enough room to move around a bit. The shower was on the smaller size, but adequate. I would complain about the room size but for the price($ 145/night at the time of our stay) and the location, both of which are hard to beat. We weren’t in the room enough for the size to really be of any consequence. It was a cool, clean space to shower, change and sleep in. The housekeeping was EXCELLENT. The room was freshened, bed made, and towels were replaced daily and before the early afternoon. The pool deck above the boardwalk is a great feature and selling point for this hotel. The pool is on the smaller side, but not as small as some of the pools at other motels that I have stayed at in Wildwood. We really enjoyed being up on the deck and people watching during the day and at night. This was a great way to relax during the day and unwind at night before turning in. On our last night we sat(for the most part alone) up on the deck with a six-pack and quietly watched the action below. The pool was open from 10:00AM — 8:00PM, and the deck was available 24 hours. Again, this entire area was kept immaculately clean. I have uploaded photos of our room and photos around the property. As the previous reviewer mentioned, there is a $ 20 key deposit, payable in cash only, not a problem, just a statement so that you can be aware if you plan on staying here. We were provided with 2 keys and 2 pool tags at check-in. Check-out was simple and took about 5 minutes. We would definitely stay at AA Heart of Wildwood again for our future trips.

The people who run this place are incredibly nice and awesome. So much so that they probably convinced me that this will be my first choice from now on if I’m going to Wildwood. We were only supposed to stay one night, but changed our minds and wanted to stay two. So I walked into the office expecting to get a «sorry we’re full» but they did have room and let us in at around 10:30 even though check-in isn’t until 2. The woman in charge even took a liking to me, as I was patient and nice because she was doing what I considered a favor after I walked in 15 minutes before checkout and asked to stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. They are a little small, but you’re not at the beach to hang out in the hotel. The deck that overlooks the boardwalk is great to people watch and have a few beers. The rooms were normal boardwalk price and what I would consider a great deal for being only a couple feet away from the boardwalk/beach. If you’re going to stay overnight in Wildwood, stay overnight at AA Heart of Wildwood! Oh, but make sure you bring $ 20 with you for a key deposit. I didn’t know about that, but they let me just leave the $ 12 I had on me.

My first impression of this motel was WOW very crisp, clean, and fresh. It looked like they had just renovated and upgraded. After talking with the owner I found out the last renovation was 6 years ago. There maintenance crew just keeps on top of the place, an it shows. Every thing looks new and unused just as if we were the first to stay here. That can be said about the rest of the motel, from the pool to the parking lot. I would have excepted to have to pay more. The only criticism I have is the free wi-fi, it’s a bit flaky but it works just enough to use for important stuff, and keep me off the computer to go enjoy the beach. The location is perfect, just feet from the boardwalk. The pool looks out over the boardwalk and the beach. Just below the motel on the boardwalk is a annie’s pretzel and dairy queen.
