Went for a late lunch. There was only one server who did the best she could. My water glass was dirty. We didn’t have silver ware when our appetizer came out. The ahi stack was good. The served had to make our drinks. My raspberry lemon drop came in a warm martini glass that was caked in sugar. Our server poured this drink into another warm martini glass with no sugar. My fiancé’s whiskey drink was fine. I ordered the sea food gumbo that was a bisque which was peppery and had shells in every bite. My fiancé’s Kobe pastrami burger was cooked right, but the pastrami was thick and cold, and did not suite the meal very well. The other staff and the bartender on duty were all wearing their surfer Street wear in the restaurant, which brought down the atmosphere. For the price and supposed ambiance I do not feel like it’s worth your time or money.

Great little place, food is really good. Bar could use an update, including furnishings but keep the atmosphere !

Had the Salmon.($ 22) Good but not amazing. Portions are so-so. Not large not small. Average. Caesar Salad($ 10) was good but overpriced for portion. Service was very slow. Had to ask for bread. Wasn’t what we had hoped. We won’t be going back.

Short and sweet review. Excellent food. Nice service. Called in a take-out order, last minute on New Year’s Eve. Ordered a steak and shrimp– best ever. I’m not sure if the pretty lady at the front was the owner but she was certainly friendly and hospitable. Whoever I spoke to on the phone was also very patient with me as I wasn’t familiar with the menu. Looking forward to dining in this nice lil place, and keeping the biz local to support our community! I have been wanting to eat here for a while and finally made the time last night. The Atmosphere was great, the food was wonderful and the service was great. I will be a regular for sure.

The atmosphere was weird and the server was sarcastic and rude and seemed to try to flirt with my husband(note — I’m not a jealous type and was not jealous — it was just weird and rude). I ordered filet mignon medium well and it was more medium to medium rare. I waited for our server to come back but she took too long so I ended up eating it. It was good, but to me and my husband, our food and experience was not worth the price. unfortunate because it seems to have great potential.

Haven’t bee in a while but went last night and it didn’t disappoint. The bruschetta was amazing and the wedge salad was delicious. Calamari was very good. Only4 stars because it seemed a bit pricey for two people. Would definitely go back!

OK so we went in today, it was our first time. and sadly last time.(and we are local) Firstly. I had my heart set on the portabella mushroom sandwich. First, one of the family members orders something else and our waitress says sorry we don’t serve that anymore, something about being in between menus. She gets to me and same thing. no more mushroom sandiwich sorry. Well the menu is limited as it is what the heck else am i going to order now? And shouldn’t you HONOR your current menu until your new ones arrive? thats false advertising! After I recieved my now chicago beef sandwich. i notice a TON of fries. The beef is chopped so thick, and so dry. even the aujus didnt help get it down. Our other sandwich ordered was dry and the pork i tasted on it tasted OLD. no flavor and plain gross. and the prices. don’t even get me started on how expensive this NO good food is. The only good thing was our waitress was a darling. She was so nice and funny. I feel bad actually on her behalf. doing this review but i feel the need to warn people. Ifyou want to spend this type of money, seriously go down to BJ’s brewery where the food is actually GREAT! Oh and we also noticed sunday brunch day appears to turn into. people who aren’t classy getting drunk on the patio. ick.

We have enjoyed D’Canters, however tonight was below par. The sweet waitress, unfortunately had an off night, at our expense. MAJOR complaints: 1. Didn’t review specials 2. Ask for bread twice 3. Didn’t receive salad before meal, and had to ask for it, after meal was served. 4. Burger was ordered well, no onions, served completely opposite. 5. My dinner was missing 1 of the main ingredients and was cold. 6. Waitresses follow up was way too late, to have corrected our meals 7. Had no manager to intervene, and we were offered a free desert, which 2 items were sold out,. 8. Waitress dropped off another tables credit card recepit, not our bill.

Wow, been here several times and have always enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere. I can’t figure the reason for the low ratings. I’ve never been let down here. I’ve been introduced to some great wines and have always felt welcomed and appreciated. Of coarse I don’t show up on a holiday without reservations and especially when I’m with a group and then somehow expect a small intimate neighborhood restaurant to be able to accommodate my every… okay I’m done blasting on some of the low reviewers… Try it you’ll love it!!!

We had a great night eating and drinking at D’Canters and listening to the fantastic sax of local musician, Jason Weber. All the food was wonderful, with the exception of the gumbo, which is just not an authentic recipe.(They graciously took it off the bill.) All of my friends raved about the key lime pie! We are going back to pick up a whole pie — it’s that good!(hour and ½ drive!)

We went on Mother’s day and the place was packed. They seated us in the back of restaurant with such poor lighting I had trouble reading the menu. And it was hot. We had to request to be reseated to a booth just to get to where it was cooler. Our waitress was frazzled but tried hard to please us. We felt sorry for the predicament she was in waiting on several large tables. To make a long story short we had to wait two and a half hours for our food which was cold or luke warm and they charged us 5 dollars for splitting a wedge. Something that wasn’t told to us beforehand. I don’t blame the waitress I blame the manager who sat on his butt at the bar talking to his friends and ignoring the tables who were starving and who were visibly upset. A family left early because their toddler was growing hungry and their food hadn’t come yet and they were seated before us. The manager should have made an appearance, helped his waitress, and appeased the customers. But he didn’t and we won’t be coming back. Ever.

Wow! What great service! What great food! What great ambiance! My husband and I live in Menifee but we are in Lake Elsinore frequently for soccer. Tonight we decided to give this place a try and we weren’t disappointed! Our server Caasi was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and accommodating to my request for vegan fare. This place offers so many options for vegans it’s amazing! I’m thrilled. I ordered the vegan entrée which is basically the chefs choice of the day. Caasi asked me if I preferred pasta or rice and we went from there. I was delighted by the plate which was a huge portion of veggies and olive oil with penne pasta! My hubby ordered the chicken Marsala and was equally as delighted. He devoured the fresh baked bread served with oil and red wine vinegar as well. I topped my meal off with a glass of the house Chardonnay and left with a to go box for lunch tomorrow! This place is truly a quality establishment. For excellent service and delicious food this is the place to go! We give this place our highest recommendation.

We came here quite a bit when we first moved to the area, but then… Had an opportunity to go to lunch there today and realized that I had forgotten what a great place this is. The setting is very comfortable and the service extremely competent. We only had salads and ice tea and were there for almost three hours.(That’s what happens when you haven’t seen someone for about 25 years!) We were made to feel comfortable and were not rushed at all. My Ahi Salad was absolutely delicious. Very fresh tasty fish, very flavorful dressing, fresh lettuce and even a sliced apple. I am craving this now and it’s only been about seven hours! My friend had a Caesar Salad with a grilled chicken breast — he devoured it — left nothing on the plate! So I will be coming back. They have many very interesting dishes, with a lot of «New Orleans» influence. The background jazz is very soothing…

Pricey for the quality and taste, but not being from around here I don’t know if this area has better offerings. That said, compared to places that i’ve been to in LA&OC areas this place kind of sucks. Came here during lunch and other than the group of old ladies in the corner and slightly past middle aged folks next to us talking business, this place was dead. Pinky came here before and loooved their house bread so much he brought me here solely for that. But being that they weren’t going to just serve us their complimentary bread and call it a day we had to order other items. I chose the kobe meatloaf which was meeeh, super soft and with a bit too much smokey flavor. The mashed potatoes were pretty bomb. Other than that, this dish that’s the so-called«favorite» did not sit well in my stomach and I had a combination of indigestion and heartburn. Pinky chose the prime rib, medium rare, tough/chewy end cut. Pretty bland, the creamy horseradish was helpful, but overall it was a sad prime rib. I think Carrows/Coco’s has better. Bread, we had to ask for the bread and got it mid-disappointing-meal because the waitress said it was being baked. Honestly it tasted and felt like an older bread that was reheated while the super hard, cold butter did nothing as it barely smeared on and kind of tasted like shortening, I just didn’t get what was supposed to be so magical about this bread. Pinky also agreed the bread wasn’t as good as he remembered it from a week before. Whether I’m from this area or not, I would not come back. I’d rather eat at Carl’s Jr because the food would taste better and be exponentially cheaper.

What a difference a week and a great server makes!!! I think we have found our new favorite go-to restaurant in the Wildomar/Temecula area! The owner Angela and her friendly staff really won us over last night with their amazing food and service! To start we ordered the shrimp cocktail and it was very yummy! The shrimp were a good size and the cocktail sauce is nice and spicy with a good kick to it! For the price the portion was very nice! We then shared the mixed green salad, which the kitchen split for us at no cost! I suggest sharing as the portions are very generous! This one comes with candied pecans, and a very tasty balsamic vinaigrette that I am pretty sure they make in house! For our meal I ordered the filet mignon at the suggestion of our very helpful waitress Michelle, and the hubby ordered the scallops! Both were AMAZING! I have had steaks all over the country at high end restaurants, and this one blew them away! The Cabernet reduction with the Bearnaise sauce was the perfect combination of creamy and tangy, and the steak was meaty and cooked PERFECT! Chef Chris really knocked this one out of the park! As for the scallops… well I don’t like them let me say that first of all… but I was fighting my husband for them last night! They were that good! They serve you a very large portion with a crunchy artichoke on top and a super yummy sauce all over. It was served very elegantly and for the price, the portions are very large. Since we were there under special circumstances we had a little tasting of two of the desserts that we were interested in! The Key Lime Pie and the Pecan Turtle Brownie were both amazing! Now I know what everyone talks about on here, it is THAT good! If you go there and don’t order it, you are missing out big time! Overall the restaurant is nicely decorated with personal touches that the owner has done a great job with! Our waitress Michelle was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive. The food was 5 stars and the wines were local and very well picked out! If you don’t know about their specials just ask! They will be more than willing to share them with you! Also they have deals going on all week, so you can dine on amazing food for great prices! We will be back VERY soon! I want to go back tonight :) Support your local small businesses! They deserve it!
