We have a drainage system in our back yard that was not working as it should. 1 year prior to calling H Jack’s we had another company come out to clean out all the drain lines. By the end of that summer it was still not working correctly. I took a chance and called H Jack’s. With in 2 days the crew showed up and cleaned out 3 of the 4 lines. The 4th had a major problem that required replacing part of the line. The 2 people that were at my home explained it all to my wife. I called and set appointment for the work to be done. A few days later a crew showed up and dug by hand the area that needed replacement. Within a short time the bad drain line was replaced and the new piece was installed. The results were a system that was working properly, no big mess in the center of the yard. I could not be happier with the job that was done and the way my yard looked when the work was completed. I’ve used H Jacks for my required annual furnace and hot water tank inspections for a rental property in Euclid for years. Everyone I’ve spoken with has been very helpful and it’s easy to schedule appointments.(even after dealing with a less than pleasant tenant on occasion) I don’t always receive a copy of my inspection report or invoice in the mail, which is why I’m deducting a star. But whenever this happens, I can just make a quick call and then I receive the paperwork. Thankfully, I haven’t had any furnace issues myself, but if I did, I’d call H Jacks to service my house, too.

Charged me $ 90 for a Sunday service call. Guy came out, didn’t even look at anything and declared that my sewer pipe was frozen. How was he so sure? He was at this house last year(before I bought it) for the same reason. Why didn’t he fix it last year? Then he wouldn’t have had to come back again this year. Ohhhhh, now I see why he didn’t fix it last year. He also told me he had to re-run the line. Not sure what that meant. I crawled under the house myself(it’s a modular home) and found that some of the sewer line had been tied up with string. I assume this is what he meant by re-running the pipe, but since I’m not a professional plumber, I’m not sure what the correct terminology is for using string to hang sewer lines. Also wanted to charge me at least $ 600($ 400 for the first hour, $ 200/hour after that) to run a torpedo heater under my house. I thought that was a little pricey since I could go BUY a torpedo heater and fuel for about $ 220 at Lowes. ***************** In response to H Jack’s reply: I can honestly say the most stressful part of the transaction wasn’t the frozen pipes, that kind of thing happens, it was finding out the same plumbing company had been to the house a year earlier and didn’t fix the problem the first time around… they had only put a bandaid on the problem by thawing the pipes out calling the job done. The EXACTSAME solution they wanted to provide a SECONDTIME! I can only imagine what they charged the old lady who lived here last year, the plumber said they had to remove doors, and take out the washing machine and dryer, to get at the pipes(oddly, I didn’t have to do any of that stuff, just saying…) Maybe H Jacks thinks that the same plumbing problem should be an annual trouble call; I, however, do not. Thanks for your reply. I fixed the problem myself for less than $ 100.
