I’m writing this review with regards to their private catering department. I was recommended to Wildflour as a catering option for my recent wedding in Waltham, MA. Jen Moyer was our contact and I cannot tell you how easy she was to work with. We had a pretty specific idea of what we wanted to serve for our dinner choices and she and her chefs made it happen with quality above and beyond.(we essentially wanted a lighter version of Thanksgiving dinner and how they made turkey breast for the masses come out so good is magic to me.) My fiancé and I consider ourselves to have a slightly more adventurous palette than many of our guests so Jen helped us to devise an appetizer and dinner menu that got raves from everyone. We set up a tasting for the choices before we even hired them and were not disappointed.(I was very happy that we got to do this before we put down a ton of money because who knows what we would’ve lost had we not liked it.) So hands down, amazing food. Wildflour also did all the grunt work of the set up & break down and helped us with what we needed to rent. We definitely had non-traditional centerpieces and extra details that Jen and her team helped us to execute exactly the way we wanted it. Pricing wise they were pretty reasonable when it comes to wedding stuff(since the whole industry is over-inflated in general). Jen was very helpful in keeping us in a budget that we discussed and overall we were very please with the quality and service we received. The only thing preventing me from giving them 5 stars is that we unfortunately were assigned a bartender that had something crawl up his ass that day and found out later on he was very rude to some of the guests and even to my husband, the guy paying him. I heard one of the other catering staff sent him home early(a wise decision). So just be mindful of who you’ll get for a bartender that night when negotiating. We brought this to Jen’s attention afterwards and trust from her response that the situation was taken care of internally. All of the other staff that night were more than friendly and helpful all around.

Ugh. Didn’t read the above review before coming here, obviously I should have. Don’t come here for vegan anything. So disappointing.

I am confused with this business. There is a Wildflour bakery that currently exists in Pawtucket, R.I. Although, their name is Wildflour Vegan Bakery and Juice Bar. They also have a website identifying their company and business concept — including locations. Wickford is not mentioned. The Wildflour I visited in Wickford, seemed to be a whole different kind of bakery, and had no indication of being vegan. Well, besides the terrible confusion. I wandered in while killing some time and looking for something sweet to munch. They have baked goods, gelato, coffee/tea,(hot and iced), plus other assorted drinks. Cute shop and very nice lady working at the time. But the prices! Of course, I won’t be going through their whole selection and giving every price. Though, to give an idea — one small to medium sized strawberry dipped in plain chocolate,(no fancy decorations), is three dollars. Everything is ‘mini’ size! I know, in a world of ‘super-sized’, that could be a good thing. But, when it’s a ‘mini lobster tail’, and they charge the same price as a REGULAR size lobster tail that could be bought from a heart — melting Italian bakery… that’s…beyond silly. Although, it was a new place, I was there, I was going to try something. The only item I could bare to buy,(deeming worth the price compared to what you get), was a little chocolate truffle cake. It was called, Chocolate Peanut Butter Dream, for $ 3.95. It was light and fluffy, wonderful texture and amazingly filling. Although, no where near a dream. I’m a peanut butter lover and expect a ‘Pow’ of chocolate, then a ‘Bam’ of peanut butter when I’m eating something called a Peanut Butter Dream. Chocolate flavor was nice, but lacked immensely on the peanut butter taste. Although, while eating, it was very quiet and I liked the quaint, sunny atmosphere inside the shop. I know plenty of bakeries which serve larger pastries, for better prices. I do not think I will be going back.
