This place was just okay. My husband liked the phở, but the crab rangoon and pork/chicken teriyaki was pretty mediocre. Service was fast. Not sure we will go back.

This little hole in the wall isn’t so unknown any more. The business has grown it’s menu to include dishes such as phở, spring rolls, pad thai, bun mei, just to name a few. And do the popularity of the restaurant has also risen. I’m a fan of the phở and spring rolls when they are freshly made, although I will warn you, they run out of the phở quickly and generally only make one batch a day. Because I work just 10 mins from this place I frequent often and can tell you from experience that the place is worth a shot. The prices are average and the food is par. Great place to grab a quick bite if you’re in the mood for asain and are near by.

I love Tuta’s. Perfectly delicious food with little to no waiting. You can’t get this food from anywhere else.

Teriyaki is known for two things: the salty sweet titular sauce, and the caramelization that occurs when said sauce meets a hot grill. In that respect, Tuta passes muster when it comes to the deep char marks of its chicken, but fails when met with the chewier, lifeless pork and beef. The sauce itself is still there, and coats everything — I shouldn’t have even bothered getting the fried rice, because the sauce-coated steamed rice would have been just as sufficient. Not that there’s much connection between Chinese fried rice and Japanese teriyaki, but it’s cheap filler and I doubt anyone cared. There was one other expectation Tuta has going for it — the price — and it’s something that it accomplished well. Two out of three of my expectations were met. So not bad, I guess.

They specialize in only teriyaki dishes. But I dont know of any other place that can do it better. Simple restaurant and a little small, with a limited menu. There are no waiters. Price can not be beat.

Great Chicken Teriyaki, cheap crab rangoon, never outrageously busy. I call it a win.

Lackluster Asian food. In the last few years I’ve been here a handful of times, never walking out all that anxious for my next visit. I think Tuta’s basic failure is how your meal is sold to you– Not fresh as possible. Meats, rice, veggies, etc(excluding fried items, that I noticed at least) you’ll find pre cooked served out of buffet style containers. Cooked when? Who knows but it was at least before you arrived. I’m sure, or at least I hope the time from the pan, to the other pan, to my carry out styrofoam isn’t more than a couple hours… but then I again, I have no idea of knowing. So why not two stars? Well I admit to being a fan of their almost too sweet teriyaki sauce… and yeah, the prices are easy on the wallet.
