Sake

WHY DID THEY HAVE TO CLOSE??? :(We were in the vicinity of Sake, and we were shocked to see a reality sign out front and in the front door. Talk about a bummer! This place was SOOOOOO GOOD!!!

They are closed. No longer open for business. I am sad to lose such a nice spot in the neighborhood.

Great service and good food and drinks! Went there on Valentine’s Day with my family and they had a special menu for that day. Basically ordered a little bit of everything!
Everything came out in a timely manner. Mr. Crab, stuffed imitation crab meat mix deep fried in panko, from the appetizer menu was really good! I loved their Peppered Tuna Tataki! The stuffed jalapeños had the right amount of kick! I was a little disappointed in the fried oyster, it tasted old. And for a sushi bar that has access to imitation crab, their crab rangoons was more cream cheese with no crab and not much flavor. Fried calamari was seasoned well. For the main entrée we got shrimp teriyaki bento box with avocado salad and 3 different rolls– For My Wife Roll, a special Dragon Roll and some other roll (I forgot :/​). If you love avocado, this place is pretty generous with it especially for their salad. So delish! All the rolls were pretty good and their presentation was pretty.
Location is further out but I would drive out that way if I was in town again for sushi.

I get good service at this place. I love their food! It’s a bit pricey but it’s well worth it. They give you a lot of food. Especially for their hibachi’s. It’s like eating at Kobe’s Steakhouse but cheaper. This place is great.

This has become one of my favorite places in town to eat! Food is always fresh and tastes great. I always get the filet mignon and shrimp meal and love it. Everyone working there is very friendly. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Hands down, this Sushi bar has best sushi presentation, by far, in Wichita! I’ve been once and it’s now in my top 2 favorite places for sushi now.
Ambiance is good. Selection on menu is good. Prices are very reasonable. Great drink selection too. Very friendly and efficient staff.
Other reviewers have mentioned that the menu also includes Thai food… but I’ve noticed many sushi bars offering other ethnic cuisine on their menu — Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai food. At first I found it odd too; but it’s quickly becoming the norm here in Wichita, for whatever reason.

Excellent service! A very nice atmosphere. The prices were pretty good too. I got the Wichita Roll and the Christmas roll to go, and both were very good. It did take quite awhile for them to make it, which I found surprising considering they weren’t very busy. If you go to sit down, id recommend sitting at the bar.

I love love love this place! The owners are amazing and help you make choices and recommend amazing sushi!

I’m pretty excited about this place opening up in my area. Now I don’t have to drive to Kanai or Ninza for decent sushi. I’m basing my review on the saba and ikura sushi… The ikura is a great deal… It’s about $ 3 less per order than Kanai, and I would say just as good. The saba tasted a little fishier (Haha, I know what you’re thinking, but good sushi doesn’t always taste fishy!) and the knife work and flesh wasn’t as good as Kanai’s. It’s also about the same price as Kanai’s for reference. Still, I would return here again. My husband ordered the shrimp and chicken hibachi dinner. He liked the shrimp, but he’s not a fan of white meat. He also got an order of the soft shell crab roll… It was pretty good! We asked for less rice, and literally, there was a 1 – 2 grain thick layer of rice on the roll. Wow!
Service is really outstanding here. Our water was always refilled, and they were very conscientious of whether the food was to our liking. The owner came by a few times, and I got to talk to her a bit. She mentioned that Friday was when they get fresh fish, so I recommend you come by before the dinner rush to get the best sushi. I didn’t see uni on the menu today, but the owner said that since school just started, things have been a bit slower. Now that they’re picking up, she’ll start ordering more uni. Score! I can see why this restaurant, which has only been open for 3 mos, already has regulars.
There were some Thai items on the menu, which I thought was random. It made me concerned about how good the Japanese food would be. However, Sake’s Japanese offerings are solid, and I might come back to try the Thai stuff later. Sake is definitely a good addition to the sushi scene in ICT! Definitely recommend.

AWESOME! Shrimp tempura and chicken hibachi were wonderful. They even made a modification to my dish with no complaints. Their spicy edamame is also amazing! We didn’t order any sushi but I saw a plate and it was gorgeous!

You must try the yellow tail or peppered turn sushi appetizers. Delicious!

Definitely a great place to stop. We go regularly, mostly for the Sushi. The rolls are very affordable, tasty, and presented beautifully. The service has always been impeccable and the restaurant is very clean. Better sushi, selection, service and prices compared to Wasabi, by far. When we went for our anniversary they were so excited for us and served us a complimentary dessert. :)

As an Fyi for those who ate avoiding wheat or fried foods, they put tempura bits in their spicy tuna and salmon mixes. But they were nice enough to replace my sushi. Also, the rolls were very small in diameter (some only a bit bigger than a quarter coin) and they were strangely chewy, like the rice had been sitting on the nori for a while.
The staff was very sweet and accommodating and my date enjoyed the chicken katsu a lot. But another person found the tempura to not be thoroughly cooked.
I hope they’re able to fix these issues because the remodel looks great and the people were so charming that you really want them to succeed.

Food was good. Service was great (may have stopped by our table to ask if everything tastes ok a lot more than necessary). We came here for my parents’ birthday dinner and ordered the Love Boat for 2 (~$ 40) which included 8 sushi rolls, and 12 sashimi pieces and chef’s choice of either angel roll or spicy tuna roll. It also comes with miso soup and salad for 2. It was enough to feed all 5 of us. Even so, we also ordered a baked scallop roll. Their Mango sangria and lychee martini was great, but we didn’t taste any alcohol nor did we get close to a buzz from it. My mango sangria was served in a big margarita glass. Even finishing that gave me no buzz.
The décor is confusing. The bar area and led lighting portrays a more fancy restaurant, but their booths, tables and furniture make it seem like a casual dining joint. So overall, food is good (great presentation) with plenty of drink options. Service is great. Prices are decent. They also serve Thai dishes

This is one of the best if not the best sushi place I have ever been too. The sushi is great. It is fresh and presented beautifully. The service matches or exceeds the food. I felt very comfortable and at home here. In my opinion the food is underpriced. If you want a great bang for your buck, this is the place. I wish sake was close to my house. I would be a regular customer.

Simply amazing. Everything is delicious! Great date place. Great service, clean restaurant and bathroom, good drinks (sake especially).

This place is actually pretty decent. Decent portions and friendly staff. I haven’t tried the sushi but the bento boxes are great. I’m sure I’ll be back trying out the sushi

Today my cousin and I went here for a late lunch. We were both extremely impressed with the menu the service and the atmosphere. I can’t wait to return with my girlfriend for date night!
