Having traveled to Panama, I wanted to capture some of the nostalgia of my younger years. Thus, I came and dine at this restaurant and had a very pleasant experience. I had sangria, grilled flatbread, a churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce and chipotle cheddar mashed potatoes. The combination was delightful. The sangria was sweet. The flatbread was soft and the steak was prepared just right. Everything was cooked to perfection.

I’d give this place higher overall marks since the food wasn’t bad, but the prices really didn’t make sense given the quality. We had plantain chips to start, which came with an avocado crema. It was… odd and not good. For our main courses, we ordered the polenta vegetable tower, quinoa and papusas. Each was flavorful, but also too salty and the texture wrong. The polenta and papusas were very overcooked and mushy and the quinoa drowned in broth. Also, be warned that they don’t use fresh lime juice in their drinks.

Visiting Wichita for business and my co-workers took me to Sabor for dinner and I must say the food was absolutely wonderful! Started with the Corn Queso and finished with the Arepa Vegetariano, both were delicious. Will definitely return on my next visit!

the thing to focus on here is the food, and the food is absolutely fantastic. there is a mussles dish on the starters menu that is to die for {always ask for triple the amount of grilled bread, though!} and the plantain chips with dipping sauces hit the pre-meal spot. the calamari was great, as well. as for entrees, i have tried the paella which was as promised but just didn’t shine enough to choose it again. i think the way to go is any choice on the ‘from the grill’ section. the steak is wonderful! as for sides, opt for the chipotle cheddar mashed over the green chili mac — you will not be disappointed! i leave only four stars because i do think that the atmosphere leaves a bit to be desired. there are A LOT of tables of varying heights and sizes just kinda crammed together, the space is oddly lit and overall, seems to lack an intimate feeling that the food so easily leads you to crave. one thing to note, is that the service has always been fantastic — very knowledgeable staff!

Exceptional Latin cuisine. I went on a Friday night and enjoyed the ceviche as an appetizer along with the plantain chips. There was enough to share between my brother and I,(two young adults.) my entrée was the pork adobo it was tangy and filling. Highly recommended.

We came here in between lunch and dinner, and it was completely empty! But everything we ordered was really good. The queso was awesome. The sandwiches were pretty big and came with a side. We got the chili mac n cheese which wasn’t as great as I thought it would be. I enjoyed my(veggie) sandwich and was way too full to finish it, so I took it home. The service was friendly and we sat in the outdoor area. Location in Town Square was great!

This is a great restaurant! Unique(to me at least) choice of entrees, airy and cool atmosphere, friendly staff. I ordered the Beef Picodillo: Delicious! Great blend of sweet and spicy favors from the sauce and vegetables. Pretty decent amount of beef but it’s still outweighed by the vegetables a little bit. The potatoes alone are to die for! White sangria was delicious from start to finish. I did not know they had a dessert menu, but my waitress Pamela(awesome service) recommended the Tres Leches Cake. OHMYGOODNESSITSHEAVENLY!!! I tried the suggested pairing moscato and it was a little too bitter compared to the cake-although anything will seem bitter compared to that sweetness. Overall great experience; the only reason this isn’t a 5 star review is I ordered my entrée without corn and it still came with it. I picked around it and it did not affect the flavor, and the rest of the meal was phenom. I wish I wasn’t just visiting on business, and I may be coming back before I leave.

Great ambiance. Just a step above casual so it’s good for work outings, dinner dates, or just a few drinks with friends. I have been here quite a few times, but never reviewed. Today I started with the black bean soup. It was good. Fresh cilantro and cream topped it. Nice flavor, could have been warmer(steam). Next I had the roasted chicken and grilled asparagus with a side of poblano sauce, and a side of mango sauce. I am watching my unhealthy food intake, and this was satisfying without tastings like I’m dieting. I would recommend Sabor for sure. My fiancé love the steak so that’s something to try out as well. Side note, it can be a pain to find parking pretty much all day everyday. Park in the garage and take a few extra steps to avoid annoyance.

Really good Latin restaurant in Wichita. What makes it wonderful is the location and the variety of latin foods it has to offer. Their steak is wonderful, but they don’t always make it right. The potatoes and quino are wonderful side options with the steak. You can dress up or down if you want to eat here. It is a wonderful date location especially if you want to hit up old town locations after.

This restaurant has really maintained a quality of the menu. The twist on hummus is point on and a personal favorite. The grouper tacos were fantastic, and could come in flour or corn shells(or one of each) The chicken paella was HUGE and spices were perfect, but just a bit heavy handed on salt.

I’m from out of town and was looking for local restaurants to try. Make sure to make a reservation if you’re going on weekends at prime dinner time because it got crowded real soon. Food: Amazing. I got the beef picadillo. The beef was tender and the corn and mushroom mole sauce was unique. It wasn’t too heavy so I didn’t get tired of it like a lot of other dishes with a heavy taste even though it was a pretty decent portion. My friend got the steak and said it was cooked on the dot medium rare just like he asked for. Service: Kind of slow but it was also a pretty busy night. The waitress recommended a wine that went really well with my entrée. Overall I’d definitely go here again if I have the chance. Would highly recommend to anyone who is new in town.

Mixed review, both good and bad. The good: Sandwich de vegitariano is great and tasty, the chimichurri and mayo adding great taste to the vegetables. Green chili mac and cheese is creamy and delicious. The bad, almost bringing this review down to 2 stars: Polenta vegetarian tower is awful, I cannot finish the whole meal because it is so bad. Vegetarian tacos: the filling is good, but the tortillas fall apart and are too soggy. Chipotle cheddar mashed potatoes tastes nothing like cheddar, but tastes like sweet potatoes, and I do not like sweet potatoes. Caesar salad is okay, it’s just lettuce and good dressing. VEGETARIAN.

Excellent good and service as we’ve been here as a large work group and they are always accommodating. Several in our group got the chicken paella and it was delicious. The salmon dish was good with their addition of spices plus the smashed potatoes were a nice side. We will definitely be back most likely several times.

Came here for the first time for a friend’s birthday dinner. First impression? Too dark. Can’t see. Maybe I have night blindness but who knows. Our waitress was very helpful. I knew I wanted steak but didn’t know which side/sauce to order and she described each of them and told me what she liked. I was not disappointed.

I really enjoyed a medium rare skirt steak… they call it a CHURRASCOSTEAK. Of course, you must top any Argentinian steak with Chimichurri sauce… and that is exactly what I did. Green chili mac and cheese was creepy green from the chilies but absolutely delicious. The service was very attentive as well.

Tasty food served in a nice environment. Nice tender steak with the signature green mac and cheese. House made hummus is delicious. Definitely will return to sample more of the menu. Nice dining at the bar.

Good service, lovely cocktails, including a flavorful but not-too-sweet white sangria and classic mojito. Crunching on plantain chips dipped in luscious avocado cream and chimichurri sauces made for a most pleasant before dinner experience. These chips are so addictive. I love that the owner/manager was walking around making sure everyone was taken care of. The arepas were flavorful, but a touch greasy, maybe needed higher heat on the fryer or better draining afterwards. The medallions of beef were just fabulous, flavorful, tender, rich. We got more chimichurri sauce on the side — yum! Green chile Mac and cheese is rich and fairly mild(no hot surprise), and the crispy fried onions are like those fried onions you get for thanksgiving green bean casserole, but times ten. Mmmmmm. Great dinner, Wichita is lucky to have this great place.

Perhaps my favorite restaurant in Wichita. I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. Tonight I started with the sangria blanco and the queso with corn. The sangria blancho is sweet but not overbearing. The queso with corn is served with chips and grilled flatbread(yum!) and is creamy, rich, and delicious. For my entrée I had the churrasco steak with the chimichurri sauce and the chipotle cheddar mashed potatoes. Everything was to die for! The steak was cooked to a perfect medium and the sauce with spices and oil has such a great zesty flavor. Our food came out quickly and our server was very knowledgable, attentive, and friendly. Great experience, A+.

Came to Sabor with my girlfriend on a Saturday night around 7. There was nearly no wait to be seated. We ordered the queso with corn as an appetizer and medium churrasco steak with chimichurri sauce and chipotle cheddar mashed potatoes. Our food came surprisingly fast considering how busy the restaurant was. The steak was cooked perfectly and everything was delicious! I forgot to mention that they also have fantastic sangria blanco!
