Got into town and it looked like the storm of the century was about to unleash, but nonetheless I was starving. This was right across the street from the hotel and I love some Phở. The weather was appropriate for some hot soup too. I ordered the egg rolls which were tasty, but a little too greasy for my taste. The dipping sauce was good and ended up pouring the remaining over my lettuce garnish.(yes, I am that person that consumes garnish) My main dish was Phở Ga or better known as chicken noodles. Too say this was the best wouldn’t be accurate, BUT it is up there as top flavorful. I like mine spicy so along with the basil, sprouts, and jalapeños that come served on the side I add hoisin and red sauce to kick it up. By the end it does overtake my ability to keep from sweating. The price is right, the flavor is good, and the service was appropriate for the time and scenario I dined in. If you’re in the area and are feeling adventurous to try some thing new or to revisit a familiar dish then I would recommend this place.

Surprised to find a good Vietnamese restaurant in Wichita. One of many restaurants listed on the city and close to my hotel. The pork and shrimp soup with clear noodles was good. Just enough flavor and not salty. Ordered the pork fried rice to go.

It is the best Vietnamese restaurant in town! Fresh spring rolls, phở, soup, etc, all really legit!

I’ve only gone here once along with my family and I ordered the Chicken Fried Rice, but it tasted so badly I coudn’t eat more than my initial bite, and even that I couldn’t swallow. I’m not sure if I just got a horrible batch of fried rice or if it was a new cook or somethin, but the dish was literally un-edible. It was as if it tasted like it was drenched in gasoline and im not trying to be mean. The rest of my family also tasted it and it wasnt just me, they all said it had an awful taste. Ever since then i have not gone there cause of that one horrible experience.

Neat little Vietnamese restaurant. They have a private parking lot that had enough space to park without problems, and there were booths and tables available. They also had space for large, 10+ person parties as well. We were promptly seated when we got there. The host quickly took our drink orders and then asked a waiter to come take our food orders. Food was finished and brought to us within 5 minutes of ordering. I was actually really, really impressed with the service up until that point. Our service went downhill relatively quickly as they got busier. When we got there, it was still relatively empty. As people came in, it doesn’t seem like they were ready to handle the rush. Drinks weren’t refilled, the check wasn’t brought promptly, and after we asked to make another to-go order, it wasn’t for another ten minutes until a waiter made it to our table to order a to-go order. However, it’s still a decent restaurant with a good choice of Viatnamese food. It feels pretty laid-back and comfortable, and the employees felt non-judgemental towards their customers — even for odd questions. Up until they got busy, service was also particularly fast and impressive. I wasn’t in love with the food, but I don’t think that’s the fault of the restaurant. Everyone else in my party was very impressed. They said that it’s probably some of the best Vietnamese food that they’ve had in town. I wouldn’t come back, but I don’t think that’s a bad restaurant.

Quality here is inconsistent. Sometimes the phở is on point, other times, like the nuoc mam here, it is weak. It’s really popular during the weekends. I just can’t get excited about it, though.

Pros: big portions, good location, parking is easy, fast service Cons: not as authentic as I’d like, the restaurant is a bit dirty. I took a picture of the windowsill next to me with a bunch of dust and dead bugs

it was my second time visiting this restaurant came in on 1÷27÷2016 around 12:00pm, the restaurant was busy, which is a good sign. I ordered the chargrilled pork Bahn Mi, it was delicious, a lot of great flavor. This place is great, the quality of the food has always been consistent for me. I haven’t been to any other asian restaurants in Wichita, but as of right now this is my favorite.

Excellent Phở and friendly staff. I found this place on a best of Wichita site and was very happy I visited. The phở was authentic and just the right portion. I also had a(not very adventurous) friend who stuck with the sweat and sour chicken and he said it was some of the best he’d ever had. I also recommend the Vietnamese egg rolls.

I just made my first trip to Little Saigon this month. The wait staff was very friendly and did a good job taking care of our large party. The menu is a bit expansive, but will have something for just about everybody on the menu, including those«safe» dishes for those who may be a little bit more picky than the rest(Chicken Fried Rice, Crab Rangoon, etc). I was here for my first phở, and I was happy with my bowl. I’m a big guy, but I was very satisfied with the regular bowl(I got beef). The broth was delicious and hot and had just a little hint of something MUCH hotter without being too spicy to eat. My only complaint was the cilantro, but a little cilantro goes a LOT further with me than it does for most people. I’d definitely check this out again. Great staff, clean restaurant, quick & friendly service, good portions and food. 4⁄5

Little Saigon is another place I have been going to for many years. It tends to be” girlfriend time” for my friend and I, since my family does not particularly care for phở. Fortunately there are other Asian dishes here, although it’s a bit dicey if you are shellfish sensitive. Just be sure to ask if a dish has oyster sauce, and if it does, ask them to make it with«low sodium soy sauce» — and that is a regular soy sauce, no shellfish ingredients. Our other favorites include the Vietnamese drip coffee and the chicken spring rolls! This is a team server type place, as I think others have mentioned, so that usually works very well for us, with different ones stopping by to take drink & food orders, to inquire if we need anything, or to swoop away the used dishes. They have a system that works pretty well to get those coming in for workday lunches in and out in a reasonable amount of time. For those of us who want to chill out, dawdle and talk, «camp out», they are okay with that, especially during the afternoon hours between the lunch and dinner rushes. The owner, Rose, is generally on site every day and makes a point of checking by every table of diners, and that is a rare touch of concern that we don’t see often enough at other restaurants. We try other phở places, but… We keep coming back here! It’s our«neighborhood ‘Cheers’ place(not necessarily a bar, though they do have a modest assortment of alcohol beverages for your enjoyment.). If you’ve never tried it, come on — go phở* it! (Phở is pronounced more like fah or fuh.)

I love Little Saigon. Clean, friendly staff, and delicious food! My go to is the Bun. B4 with the braised pork is awesome. It comes with what is probably the best egg roll in the world. In my opinion. I order extra. Large portions won’t leave you hungry. And the prices are reasonable. Fast service makes it a good lunch option as well. Highly recommended.

Outstanding, all the way around. Waitstaff was attentive and patient; explaining the intricacies of Vietnamese dining to our incompetent round eyed brains. Crab Rangoon, and the accompanying sauce, was better than ice cream. And I freaking LOVE ice cream. My compadres had phở, and loved it. I had chicken fried rice and it was PERFECT. Seriously; just the right amount of egg in the rice. Excellent tender pieces of chicken well cooked, tender, juicy. Not all dried out and stale. And it was a HUGE portion. If you decide to pay the $ 1 more for the bigger bowl of phở be aware it is essentially a bucket. And awesome. Not a fan of lots of ethnic food, but I will be back here.

We were passing through town and stopped for a to go order using Unilocal as our guide. We needed some help with their menu. I didn’t find a grilled lemongrass chicken — pretty common in Dallas; but settled on a grilled pork. Our order was filled quickly and we were on our way. The phở with sliced beef and meatball was delicious. The Vietnamese fried egg rolls and shrimp and pork summer rolls were still very good despite sitting in a container for two hours. The pork with a fried rice, however, was not something I would usually eat. Dry, unnaturally pink slices of pork atop Chinese fried rice with a sweet sauce on the side. It was not inedible; but it was not Vietnamese and didn’t interest me. Maybe a communication problem; but a far cry from any Vietnamese grilled meat I’ve had. Lovely people. Beautifully presented food, even to go. I would stop there again.

Was craving some Phở and Little Saigon definitely delivered. I don’t think they actually deliver but they do offer takeout! The restaurant is pretty nice considering the neighborhood it’s in. The servers are also very friendly and helpful. Started off with some creamy delicious Crab Rangoon and Vietnamese Pork Egg Rolls. I split a BBQ Pork Bánh Mi with my girlfriend and we both ordered the regular sized Chicken Phở and still had enough to take home. In fact for a total of $ 30 we both left full and with enough leftovers for basically another entire meal. I’m definitely no Phở expert but it was tasty. It’s nice to be able to add your own sauces and seasoning to cater the meal to your liking. The Bánh Mi was good but I’ve had better. I enjoyed dipping it into my Phở, it helped soften up the bread a bit.

Consistently consistent. I’m not a giant fan of the food but it’s never a bad time, bad service or bad flavor. I return often because my friends love it. Centrally located with a spacious design and tons of windows letting ample amounts of natural light in.

*FOOD* Crispy Egg Noodles w/beef – flavors were so underwhelming. I was pretty hungry after a 4+ hr drive and was thinking that I can’t go wrong w/a higher rated place. This dish was just bland w/a questionable cooked in «old oil» taste. Crab Rangoon – they use sesame oil to it that ruins the fried wonton wrappers! And the crab/cream cheese mix tasted very bland, and way too creamy… borderline mayo-tasting… very unappetizing. Don’t get me wrong, love mayo but not when I order crab rangoon. Mixture had no green onions and a scant amount of crab mix. Never thought this appetizer would ever go unfinished at a restaurant, left 3 pieces uneaten. *SERVICE* Waitress and host very nice, the food just wasn’t enough to give it a higher rating. —— —— —— —— —— —– —— —— —— —— —— —— OVERALL, good service but if you want really delicious authentic tasting Vietnamese, or even Thai food as they have a fusion menu, I’d try a different spot.

Phở in Wichita, KS! Yay! Prior to arrival, I searched Unilocal on where the best Vietnamese restaurants were in downtown Wichita. Compiled that with local here say on where to go, my friend and I came here to Little Saigon Vietnamese restaurant. The reviews were pretty good, so we decided to try it. The restaurant was a little grand(layout) for my own taste, but it works! Plenty of seating available on a Saturday afternoon and I was very famished after a morning of driving up the I-35 and I-135 from Oklahoma City to Wichita. It was a good experience here and the service was good as well. Quick and to the point as they said. I had ordered the usual combination phở Bac diet and the order of summer rolls to fill me up. Little Saigon Vietnamese restaurant is located on 1015 N Broadway Street in Wichita, KS. Can’t really miss it once you are driving on Broadway. They have a private parking lot for their patrons, which is great for those phở junkies like me who need to get their fix. The great thing about this place is that they accept credit cards! Always a plus for me, but not American Express. It’s okay. The restaurant itself is clean and very large — as mentioned earlier. Usually, Vietnamese restaurants I have been to are not large and grand like this one. I’m not one to complain, but it was a pleasant sight to see. My friend and I got a corner booth and it was clean already. We were in and out in about an hour, which was pretty standard. The summer rolls I thought were decently good. At least they were not previously made and chilled /frozen till someone orders it. The phở itself could have been a little better with more meat and more noodles, but I should have asked for that. They have adequate amounts of bean sprouts and basil, so that was nice. The broth was good, as it was a lighter brown than that of I have tasted. Still, it was a fine meal that would have been better if these three ingredients had presented itself: 1. Deeper enriching broth 2. More meat 3. More noodles. Still the meal was good enough. Can’t say it was great, just good a and it hit the spot after a morning of driving. The prices here were reasonable, if you were in the market for the Phở. I’m not sure about the other dishes though. Probably worth it, if you decide on discovering new things. If you are in the area, you may want to try this place. I would say try this place and it’s recommended. I probably wasn’t thinking straight or whatever. May be an off day, but this place may just change your life! I hope to go back sometime soon though. Regardless of what I think of this place, good Vietnamese restaurants are hard to come by in the Midwest. Get them while you can. 3.5 stars rounded to 4.0 Support local! B
