Wow! This place was amazing. My fiancé took me here as a surprise. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a hostess immediately. She took our name down and we were seated in about 5 minutes. As soon as we sat down, A waitress came to take our drink orders. We had different waiters and waitresses but a main go to person. This made sure we always has what we needed. The manager constantly checked on us and served us our drinks. She was great! While we waited, they brought out warm homemade ciabatta bread. It was AMAZING. Thank goodness I didn’t get full on that. For my main course, I had their chicken Marsala with a baked potato. My oh my was it amazing. The chicken melted in my mouth. I didn’t even need a knife to cut. They had a huge drink selection for us to pair with our foods. For dessert, I had the key lime pie. I’d highly recommend it. If you want great seafood and steak, come here. It’s not your regular peanut on the floor steakhouse so dress nice and come prepared to spend your money.

The white tablecloth steak and seafood restaurant has long since become an anachronism for me. You know what that piece of beef tastes like after four or five bites, but you sit there and just chew and chew and chew away at that 20-ounce steak, not unlike the very cow you’re eating. Still, if this is someone’s idea of a fancy night out, I’m not going to fault them. A trend in restaurants over the past few years is to place more emphasis on the bread service, and something I wish would permeate the Wichita scene a little bit more. Here, the warm bread and soft salted butter was nice, though the bread still had a lot of internal moisture, which affected the texture as well as made for an underdeveloped crust. My first visit took place at the bar, where free bacon was served. It wasn’t the thickest-cut bacon, but hey — free bacon. I made a meal out of the squash Rockafeller that has since been cut from the appetizer menu. It’s a shame, because the hollowed-out squash, filled with spinach, Romano cheese, and topped with breadcrumbs, was an incongruously homey and healthful dish. In an attempt to continue this healthy approach, a side order of broccoli was ordered, too. Served barely cooked and in its entirety(as in, two uncut heads of broccoli), it was a struggle to eat for even the most fervent lover of all things cruciferous, such as myself. Future visits focused more on the meat. It’s hard to overcook anything in the age of sous vide, so a steak requested as medium was delivered as such. It had a good sear and was seasoned well. The half chicken was also suitably juicy, though the menu made no mention of it being«barbecued chicken:» seasoned with an assortment of smoky and sweet seasonings that made it taste very much like a bag of Lay’s. I thought it was a well-execute preparation with the exception of the skin, which turned soggy after an application of glaze. I peeled it off. The seasoning was already veering well into the realm of sweet until it met the sauce, a mollases jus that sent sent things far beyond the kind of sweetness appropriate for a main course. Thakfully it was served on the side, so I could avoid it entirely. The sauteed spinach was not cooked down as much as I would like, and it also played a little too sweet when served with currants. The sauteed wild mushrooms were perfect, though I didn’t see too many varieties of mushrooms in there to classify them as «wild.» A baked potato comes with every steak, though like the bread it was still a little too moist, so it wasn’t that fluffy interior you look for in a baked potato. It was served with that mid-range bacon, too. The beer menu is better than many average steakhouses, though still not as full-fledged as the extensive wine menu. Perhaps to equate them with wine, many of the bottles are large-format, which means you hopefully are dining in a party that doesn’t mind sharing a bomber of Tank 7, or you’re left to do a lot of drinking yourself. Either way, I think this approach is misguided — part of the appeal of beer its mass appeal, and many people have a lot more opinions about their beer than they do their wine. Many people come to upscale steakhouses like this because they want to feel fancy. If that’s your perogative, Greystone has food, service, and ambiance that make you feel like you’re getting your money’s worth. However, they have to do this in the shadow of Chester’s, a similar concept and price range with more than just the typical cuts of steak and seafood, located less than a mile down the road. Greystone will have to work hard to distinguish themselves, and I don’t think they compare favorably yet.

This was a wonderful meal but not worthy of 5 stars. Service was friendly yet not invasive. I chose the wine and it was a bad choice. 2013 Maison L’Envoye Pinot Noir was adequate at best. I ordered a wedge salad and requested instead of bread, some Lavosh with a side of butter. The wedge salad was fine, nice touch the place was cold. The Lavosh came and it felt like they were rationing it. Broken into pieces and a limited supply. I also ordered a Filet, broccoli and baked potato. All were cooked to perfection. I felt the seasoning on the broccoli was a little heavy considering it was served with a hollandaise sauce. The Filet was the right temperature but not as tender as it should be. I will compliment the chef on the blue cheese Demi glaze on the steak. It was fantastic. The desert of the fresh berries was a wonderful finish. I definitely will go back.

This place has a great atmosphere for dates, parties and special events. They have private rooms which accommodate different sizes of groups. They have a very nice selection of wines as well as a full on bar with an ever changing list of speciality drinks! The salads are very fresh with COLD lettuce! Great options for appetizers and entrées! Everyone luvs homemade desserts and this place has a large selection to sweeten up the end of your meal! Give’er a try and you won’t be disappointed!

The food and service was awesome. I had made an appointment for 7:30 and when we got there, we were seated right away. I had the ribeye steak, it was tender and delicious plus it comes with a baked potato. My wife and I had an amazing time on our anniversary there. The prices are expensive but it was well worth the cost.

I took the wife here for our anniversary. We were very well taken care of. Food was superb. I had the cowboy Ribeye steak, cooked to perfection. Wife had the Ahi Tuna, again cooked perfectly. They had an off menu dessert offering of cinnamon bread pudding. Probably best bread pudding ever. My only 2 complaints were that the Baileys coffee the brought me with dessert was so full I couldn’t move glass without spilling on the table, which just looked tacky. I also feel as though the price is very high. $ 21 for 2 cocktails is to much. I think that $ 200 is also to high for the meal, even if it was probably best I have had. If price was different I would definitely make this a regular dinner outing.

Went here with coworkers in town for customer mtgs. The inside and décor were great. Love the colors. Staff was attentive, and Peyton was a great server. Went for steak and was not disappointed. No one had complaints. For me, the bone-in Filet was to die for, with sautéed onions and peppercorn sauce. Perfect temp, and substituting the Au gratins for the included full on baked potato. All in all, would go here again any time.

My experience at Greystone was top shelf all the way! From entry to exit this was a complete five star meal! My ribeye was perfect and melted in my mouth. And my spinach salad was awesome as was my asparagus. The proprietor even stopped by to make sure I was completely satisfied. And I was! Great service and a great meal.

My husband and I dined at Greystone last night for our anniversary dinner. Since the building used to be a BBQ restaurant, I wasn’t sure how fancy this new place would be. But let’s just say it really does have the fine dining vibe. There were lots of items on the menu that I wanted to try. We ended up ordering two appetizers first: lobster cargot and fried oysters(this was an item that was off the menu that the server told us about). Both were delicious! I think the fried oysters were the best I’ve had. The flavors served on top of thin wontons were just perfect. The lobster cargot also made my belly happy. Three of my favorite things in one: lobster, butter, and cheese! The price of the lobster cargot might scare some people, but I think it was worth it. The chunks of lobster were plentiful. For our entrees, I had the filet and my husband had the ribeye. All the steaks already come with a baked potato as a side, but since it was my first time here I wanted to try more sides so we also ordered the sautéed spinach and mac and cheese. We both loved our steaks– both were cooked to our liking. No sauce needed. And, the baked potato was really good(the bacon for it was perfect!). The mac and cheese side was large and I only took a few bites out of it. This was the only item we couldn’t finish because we didn’t want to get too full. The sautéed spinach had a salad type flavor– sweet and nutty. I think next time we go, we will be fine with just sticking to the baked potatoes as our sides. Our server was really nice as well as the hostesses. We definitely will remember this place for our next special occasion dinner.

Dined at the bar and The bartender John took very good care of us. Drinks superb. House salad enjoyed very much. But disappointed with the evening special, a fish entrée. Good quality fish but very dry and the papaya mango pear topping didn’t make up for it. Will definitely go back for another try but it is pricey for Wichita. They’ll have to improve on their entrées for me to make this a regular dining choice.

Fine dining. Had calamari for appetizer, cooked just right with its sweet chili sauce made it more scrumptious. Had the salmon with butter sauce it had pieces of lobster and some shrimp. Loved it! The chocolate martini was really good. Crème brûlée for dessert with fresh strawberries was good too, perfect sweetness. A bit pricey but worth it! Service was good, clean setting, perfect for date night!

My new favorite restaurant in town! Wichita doesn’t have a ton of «really nice» restaurants, but this one tops them all. Both the food & the restaurant itself were great. The staff was friendly, the ambiance is lovely, and our food was cooked exactly as requested. Highly recommend for a nice date night out or a business meeting! They have several private dining areas that can accomodate groups and do not charge a rental fee(for the time being, at least). Cost-wise for my husband & I, it came up to $ 135.00 after tip. We will be back!

We dined at Greystone last Friday evening with another couple. We are frequent visitors to Chester’s Chophouse and this new restaurant is comparable with a more intimate setting. The décor was very nice and staff were all top notch. The lighting was way too dim though and we all found it difficult to see and read the menus that are unfortunately printed on darker grey paper. The menu offered the standard chophouse style affair with daily specials which were explained by our server. We all opted for a fillet of our choice. I also ordered a Ceasars salad and found it a bit odd to have whole Romain leafs for my salad that required me to cut my own, but it was easily done and it was a very tasty dish. The steaks arrived and we were asked to cut into them to verify how they were cooked. This proved problematic since it is so dark in the dining room and the server took out a flashlight to assist. We all remarked that if the lighting is dark enough to require all the servers to carry a flashlight… turn up the lights. The steaks were cooked perfectly and were very tender and excellent on flavor. All the sides and appetizers we had were also very good. We all agree that we will be back. Very pricy, but if you frequent Ala Cart chophouse’s you already should expect $ 75 a person with an alcoholic beverage and meal.

What a WONDERFUL meal! This is, by far, the best overall restaurant we have visited in the city of Wichita! Excellent, professional staff, very well managed, as is their other venue, we are impressed! It may be a little more expensive, but the quality of food and the service are top quality, what a nice change for Wichita! We will definitely be going back. Nice job!!!

No matter the pursuit, few ever get the entire package perfect… for me, it just happened!!! What an absolutely delightful discovery!!! This is a tough town for the restaurateur. One of those places where it is far too easy to go to die. Greystone has the formula figured, and won a hard sell disciple. Today is a good day… Update: 1÷30÷2016 This makes seventeen… Sure, I should try some of those quaint little holes in the wall, but I have only one life and by my count 30,660 meals left. Perfectly delightful is hard to come by and«The Stone» like oxygen, gravity and Napa wine have yet to let me down…

Greystone is by far the best steakhouse in Wichita! From the rich décor with beautiful(and sound proof) private dining rooms to the fun spirited atmosphere of the bar area, it is a place you can just relax, enjoy your meal and be taken care of by a friendly staff. The cocktails were amazing. Our guests had wine from the extensive wine list while we enjoyed the lemon basil margarita. You will want to try that! Our steaks and prime rib were tender and cooked perfectly — every one — and the fish was moist and flaky served with a delicious sauce. We also had a couple of side dishes for the table and everyone loved the creamed spinach. Too full for much more, we all finished with a bite of crème brûlée with fresh fruit. Wonderful! We will go back and will recommend it for anyone wanting a delicious meal in a lovely restaurant.
