Clean? Yes. Live music night? Yes. Sat at the bar at dinner time and asked if I’d like to order food? Nope. Ugh. Not impressed. I went in for dinner and left after a glass of wine and was never asked about ordering. Rats.

Was very very impressed by the décor, cleanliness, quality of food and service at this restaurant. Everything was a 5 stars experience. Definitely recommend it for business meetings or special occasions.

Love this restaurant and it’s food. My favorite is the sesame crusted salmon with fried spinach. The infused pineapple vodka is the best drink on the menu. Service is always impeccable with the exception of ONE hostess who is always rude and unwelcoming to guests.

We have only eaten here once, and that was more than enough to prove that we will be back for sure! The food was great, the drinks were right in the money, and the atmosphere was everything a decent restaurant should be. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is because I called to make a reservation, and when we got there we still had to wait for our table. The service was good As well, all of our food came out as ordered, the waitress did forget my drink from the bar but they were busy so I wasn’t too upset. Overall a great place to eat and enjoy time with family.

I really like the location and atmosphere of firebirds. The food has been really delicious every time I have gone. Coconut shrimp are delicious and served with a tangy slaw. I love the cilantro chicken. It’s always juicy and cooked perfectly. The spinach salad is also great (sans mushrooms), and if you are feeling carby, try the au gratin potatoes. Totally worth the extra calories. They also have a black diamond martini that is legit! Infused pineapple is the highlight of that drink and once you have it you don’t want anything else. So the food and atmosphere get the 4 stars easily. The ONLY thing I don’t like is the insanely long wait times for literally every single thing except the shrimp. To sit down, they said a 45 minute (which wound up actually being an hour and a half), water 10 minutes, take our order 15 minutes after water, shrimp 1 minute from order to table (no joke 1 minute), refills on drinks 10 minutes after we finished eating and only because we flagged her down. I was literally famished by the time we ordered, and parched by the time we finished. The waitress was super nice, but they just need to tighten up their processes and pay attention to their tables. At one point their were 4 waitresses at the bar just chatting it up and snacking on bread, and here I was at my table dying of thirst. It’s not an expensive restaurant, but it’s moderately priced so I feel like a refill once every couple of hours is not too much to ask. But seriously, the food and drinks are worth it if you have no timeline for the evening.

Nothing is perfect so I returned to Firebirds to give them a chance to redeem themselves and man did they step it up! Our server not only had our table but also a large party to serve. not often do I see servers attend to a large group plus small tables around all at once. She was spectacular! She provided great service and food delivered well. I have never ordered a ribeye along with ribs and they were mm mm good! I would totally order either of these items again. The sides were sweet potato fries and parmesan sweet potatoes. My fav part was when I asked for gravy they didn’t have any so they whipped some right up! You can’t beat service as good as this. Check it out you would enjoy the service they provide along with their good food.

Will never go back and will be certain to let everyone know what transpired there. Wait staff and planner were wonderful (thus the one star) but HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE management. It is very unfortunate for them that our non-​profit, national organization that promotes literacy and breast cancer awareness will not hold any of our meetings (as long as I am a member) there again due to the abhorrent, and most unprofessional treatment from their management. When the current management staff is replaced, I will gladly look at returning there for future events with this group as well as with any other group.

First time here. First had to spend 20 minutes at the bar and the bar tender was wonderful. The 15 – 25 min wait at the car was spot on. On seating, our waiter admitted he was also responsible for a huge table of prom kids. Nevertheless he was great in getting out appetizers in and out and drinks timely. Then the dinner came. I had the large ribeye and loaded baked, and the wife had the fish tacos. Steak was perfect as was the potato. Fish race reported to be wonderful. Balanced and delicious. Overall, excellent place, service and food.

Great ambiance and good food. It started off rough but ended great. On a business trip, I came at 6pm and was first approached by waiter at 610pm. I ordered my drink and waited until 630 before waiving down another waitress. I told her politely that I had been waiting for 30 minutes to get served. She apologizes and proceeds to take my order. She was attentive and punctual immediately. My initial waiter showed up after my drink, salad and bread was delivered. He didn’t even recognize that I had ordered. So — Great place if customer service was better. So learn from my mistake, personally ask for Cassandra. She’s awesome and attentive.

The service is always slow and the food is overpriced and mediocre at best. I don’t mind paying up for food and service. Both are consistently lacking here.
They offer a a pineapple martini similar to capital grille for $ 10 or $ 11 — that’s the highlight of the entire place.

The food is really good. You should try the salad; I love it a lot. The environment is great. It’s good for special occasion or business dinner.
They do have bar at the front too if you just seeking something relax for the night

I ate here twice while on business travel. The menu is very up to date with modern touches and standard steak house fare. I had their sirloin and I believe the steak was bigger than advertised. It was cooked as I requested. There were a few bumps in the timing of when the different courses came out which did bring my rating down. However the staff was vey welcoming, accommodating and professional.

My husband and I love this restaurant! The salads and ribeye steaks are the best in Wichita! Isaiah is the best waiter in Kansas. The atmosphere is great and very inviting!

Went on a Sunday afternoon & were seated quickly (no reservation)
We ordered coconut shrimp-​good but a little over cooked, crab cakes– very good, tuna-​excellent.
My son ordered grilled salmon & loved it, husband had turkey sandwich. I had the smokehouse chicken sandwich & was disappointed. It had no flavor. Grated cheese on a sandwich? Most fell off, I’d rethink this menu item.
Our server was very polite. Overall a nice meal.

Wow!!! Phenomenal aged ribeye steak, seasoned perfectly and the perfect amount of wood flavor throughout… The staff is attentive and wonderful staff. Nothing wrong at all…

Immediately upon arrival, the smell of cracked pepper and an open fire greeted us before we opened the front door. While the warmth of the place might be more cozy in the winter than summer, the smell of the kitchen drove up my hunger immediately.
We hosted a small corporate dinner here and making a reservation was a snap. They did balk at the fact that we had folks arriving late which I appreciated. We started with a couple of appetizers for the table including the lobster queso, coconut shrimp, and onion rings. Coconut shrimp were my personal favorite but all of the starters were well liked. Didn’t get a chance to snag a glass of wine but their wine list was tempting.
On the entrees, I went for the safe bet: The Filet. For me personally, the medium filet was just right. I enjoyed every bite. It came with a baked potato. While the food tasted good, for the price point, the presentation was incredibly basic.
The service was overall friendly and in the beginning, very attentive. Once our order starting come out, there were missing items and one entrée took forever since it was burnt. But had a good meal overall that suited out meeting’s needs.

Contacted by corporate and the manager to return for a 2^nd try. Took them up on it last night 6÷26÷15. Isaiah was our server. So far, their servers are pretty much first class. We ordered crab cakes, cocktails, encrusted trout and delmonico ribeye. The meal was fantastic. Finished it off with a shared piece of Key Lime pie. When it was time to check-​out, their was a mix-​up and nobody realized it was to be on them. We paid, tipped 20% and left — pleased and stuffed. Next morning the manager contacted me apologizing for the mix up and is sending us gift cards.
In general, I really think this place wants to «make it right». I’m pleased with their efforts. It’s probably not my first choice in Wichita, it’s not cheap and we did not expect it to be. We will return on the gift cards and continue to support them.
They are really big on getting you to sign up for coupons and email deals. Idk, for this establishment to NOT be an Applebee’s, I find that style of advertising odd. Most patrons sitting nearby appeared to be enjoying themselves… anniversaries and large groups be taken care of.
I HIGHLY recommend reservations Wichita. I know it kills you all to plan ahead as we are all guilty — but this place really thrives on this process, thus the recommendation. Here are some pics…

This place has always been a favorite since we first found them in Phx. When they opened a Wichita location, we were ecstatic! Food is very good & consistent, which is always a plus in my book. Service is spot on. And the drink selection is outstanding. When I brought my hubby in for his bday, the entire staff signed a bday card for him, exceptional!
