First time I visited, the food was very good but very over-priced for lunch. The second time I was there, the food was very good and the prices were reasonable for lunch.

I have been driving all day from Albuquerque, NM, & Wichita is our halfway point to Kansas City. . I had been looking forward for two hours to eat here. I arrive at 9:25pm, their OPEN sign is brightly lit. I walk in & it’s DEAD. We are the only customers. I’m hurriedly seated & our drink order is taken. However, another server walks past telling me she needs to ask if the kitchen is closed. I hear a man yelling loudly, «Closed, closed!» So we get up & walk out, feeling unwelcomed. What a disappointment. You are a business stating hours of operation that you do not follow. What a shame. No Gangnam Style vibes here. .

Great value for lunch specials. I haven’t tried the Korean BBQ menu yet but I do know that both times we have had lunch the portions were huge and the food was excellent. I would like to see the timing on the food get better, there is no reason entrees should come to the table staggered.

I went here with a group of friends after Jinji’s closed down and was renamed. We wanted to see if there was a huge difference in taste. The wait was pretty long but we did go on the weekend. They had some drink specials and the prices were great. The group decided to order the Korean barbeque with the different types of meats. It was great for the price and the amount of food that we got!!! We also tried other foods such as the spicy rice cakes and sweet potato noodles. I’m a korean and these are foods that I grew up. I expected it to taste the same. However I was slightly disappointed. The food was a little too sweet for my taste. Korean dishes like that aren’t supposed to taste that sweet. It was a little too Americanized. However, best Korean food in Wichita so far! b

Wichita is lucky to have Gangnam in the city. Food is delicious, fresh and tasty. We were happy with our meal and we are picky eaters, especially my husband. He hates Korean food and he enjoyed Gangnam very much. Compared to KC and Dallas this place is just as authentic and cost a slightly less than other cities. We ordered 4 meat plates(from the course menu), $ 59. It could feed 4 – 6 adults. Includes complimentary sides, dipping sauces and rice. Happy hour needs to have some discounted appetizers to compete with area restaurants. Cant wait to see what desserts you plan on having soon. Nice ambience, clean restaurant and restroom. Thank you for the wonderful, attentive service. Hope service is the same during busy times(we were there at 4p on Thursday).

Good music, good layout, nice looking bar, really nice toilet paper and fancy faucet, good food. Friendly staff. Only complaint is that the non-stick coating was half off on the grills and they we’re using metal tongs on them… I read that that coating and if the grill is aluminum or not high quality steel, that metals and chemicals leak into your food…

I spend time in S Korea for work and am pleased Wichita has a Korean BBQ restaurant. I was unable to use either of the two Korean words I know but the food was close to being in Pusan.

Solid. Just plain good food for a good price and a reasonable price with good quantity. I will be coming back. The sparkling pear was spot on and the egg rolls were melt in your mouth delicious! Looking forward to returning.

This place had better food and service when it was Jinji. Even though the portions are a nice size it lacks in flavor and quality. The service was slow and sporatic. The side were the only thing that was good. Mana Wok has better food and before Juni’s closed it was far superior. Will not be back.

Fantastic place to take your friends and family. It is a little expensive compared to KBBQ places out in Texas and California, but you leave well satisfied. Waitresses here are are very attentive so we made sure our waitress got a nice tip for sure. I make sure to come here next time with family and friends. Minus side to the place is that the place should take reservations.

I’ve had korean bar b que in San Fransico and Kansas city. This is one of those restaurants that is very comparable to those out of state. The only thing that is it lacks is a little bold flavor. The price is pretty reasonable. The location is smacked right in the middle of town so its not a long drive for friends of opposite sides of the city to meet and eat. Highly recommend! Atmosphere is also very nice. You don’t leaving smelling like a Chinese kitchen which is great. The 2 times I’ve been, is both pleasantly inviting.

This is the only Korean grill restaurant that I’ve found in Wichita; but that isn’t a bad thing due to how delicious everything is. I’ve had many awesome experiences at Korean bbq restaurants all over and this place is def top 5. If you’re looking to fill up for about $ 10 to $ 15 a person on a bunch of delicious different kinds of meat, check this place out. The service is good and the atmosphere is cool too.

I am living in LA, where KBBQ is beyond abundant, but am originally from Wichita. I returned recently to visit and thought it was awesome Wichita had a KBBQ spot. I wanted to give it a try but was QUICKLY detoured when I looked up the menu online and saw the outlandish prices!!! I don’t care how good it is, $ 40 for three meats is insane when I can go to almost any KBBQ here in LA and pay $ 20-$ 25 and have at least 20 selections of various meats, vegetables and soups, plus a large array of sides AND it’s all you can eat. It’s quite sad that the they would completely rip people off who probably don’t know any better. Nice way to bring in something new and exciting and stick a HUGE price tag on it because you think the customers won’t know they’re getting ripped off. I hope word spreads about how incredibly overpriced your food is compared to KBBQ’s in other cities.

This is a fantastic place! The food was crazy nuts delish! I don’t know what it was like when it was called JInji, but now. ..(wipes away drool) YUM! The portion sizes are HUGE. I really wanted to try the LA Galbi, because I watch a lot of Korean Dramas and Maangchi on youtube makes this dish. We ordered the«Course C» menu(about $ 60, Pork belly(like bacon but not smoked or flavored in anyway), Beef brisket, bulgogi(marinated(thinly sliced beef) and LA Galbi(marinated short ribs). We didn’t know it would be so much food. This was enough to feed about 6 people, no joke. It was just my husband and I(the Doggy Bag was enough for dinner later). It also comes with veggies that you grill with the meat on a grill built right into the table. The unlimited side dishes were so gooooood(the fish cake and sweet pickled diakon radish were my favorites). Its also served with rice and lettuce leaves to wrap your grilled meat, veggies and choice of three provided sauces. My waitress(Cindy) was so attentive and helpful. She actually grilled some of the meat for us, was chatty without being overbearing and she even got extra fishcake for us to take home. All the staff are super kind, the owner came over to see how we were doing. The experience alone was worth it. I will go back many times and recommend it to everyone! I also go there for their lunch special $ 4.99 for Chicken Teriyaki, So yummy.

Visited this evening and has three dishes to sample a little bit of everything that comes out of the kitchen. Our party had the spicy squid, bibimbap and the soon tofu. Everything came out very quickly and was very flavorful. Some of the dishes reminded me of the authentic Korean dishes I had while in Seoul. I definitely recommend this place and will be back.

Fantastic. Huge portions. Worth every penny. GangnNam took over the recently, and quickly, closed Jinji, and what a difference it made. The atmosphere is swanky, upscale, trendy. The large menu gives you plenty of options. As far as Korean BBQ you can pick from the individual meats to grill at your table or opt for one of pre-selected combo(3 or more types of meat ranging from $ 40 to $ 90). The combo C1 contains Pork Belly, Brisket & Bulgogi along with all 3 different kinds of kimchi, seaweed salad, lettuce, white rice, fish cakes, pickled veggies and of course 3 different dipping sauces. Mind you this is the smallest of the combos and it could easily feed 3 or 4 people. We also had an order of the crab ragoon and dumplings both of which were great. Long story short, go!

I am an avid lover of Korean BBQ. It’s my go to comfort food and it disappoints me that I have to give this place a bad review. Why I only gave this place one stars is because it could have been better. When arrived, we wanted Korean BBQ, but they said there were no tables and we would have to wait 30 mins. So we didn’t wait, but when we got to the tables, they had 3 empty 6 seater BBQ tables open. Upon asking the waitress, she said we can’t sit there because we didn’t have 6 people to fill the table and that they were not allowed to seat us there, we had 4. So during from the time we sat at our table to the time our meal arrived was 35 minutes. The place was not really busy and no-one sat in the 3 empty tables. We ordered non BBQ food and it was mediocre, see my review of it below. We would have spent way more money eating Korean BBQ, than having us order non BBQ foods and having 3 empty tables the entire time we were there. Spoke with the manager about how ridiculous their policy was, and she tells us it’s okay next time you can have Korean BBQ. Unfortunately, there won’t be a next time. Worst customer service from the manager ever. Waitress was nice tho. Ordered yookgaejang(was above average), seafood udon on hot plate(seafood was pretty much pre-packaged seafood that you buy all in one pack and lacks flavor) and jajangmien(which tasted really weird, like oily gas… even the instant stuff is better). Also, the side dishes were not great. A lot of it lacked flavor, especially the kimchi and bean sprouts. Will never return. Not recommended!!!

Okay where do I start. I ordered the assorted tempura. It was okay but it was under cooked and soggy and it was $ 7.00. The Kimchi was ice cold like it just came from the freezer. For the main entrée I ordered the P5 which is the iron plate spicy chicken. It was okay but not worth $ 18.00. It is all spice and no real flavors. So what I am saying that this place is over priced and not worth the money at all. It would be a great place to take a date if you want to show them how much money that you can through away in one sitting. But other than that don’t do it.

Amazing transformation! Gangnam is definitely a go-to restaurant. Gotta try it at least once, or twice, or more! Service is exceptional, portions are worthwhile, atmosphere is welcoming, and food is delicious! Can’t say enough good things about this place. Will be returning multiple times in the future.

Agree with everyone that this place is excellent, don’t let the outside fool you, the décor inside is nice and we were seated quickly having reservations. We ordered several different courses, spicy chicken and beef plus you have more than enough sides to complete your meal. We took advantage of the happy hour with half price drinks. The servers were awesome, very knowledgeable and always on mark with more water, rice, etc. Overall an excellent dining experience.

The restaurant is really nice. Service is great. The servers always asked if I need any more side dish. Food tasted so good. I ordered grill set COURSE B which was the perfect amount for 4, but I over ordered just for 2. I will stop by this place if I have a chance to get back to Wichita.

I decided to give this place another try(previously Jinji) and I am so glad I did. The owner completely renovated the bar making the space a lot more warm and welcoming. The menu offers a ton of tantalizing appetizers and new barbecue course options. I recommended getting a barbecue course because it’s a plethora of food; you’re definitely getting what you’re paying for, possibly more. Be sure to come during happy hour for half priced drinks; my favorite cocktail here is the grape expectations because it tastes like a grape popsicle. Service was great, food was great, atmosphere was great, heck even the music selection was great(if you’re into house music).

Nice atmosphere and the food was done well. I’m a native Californian and grew up on K-Town korean restaurants and this one is just as good. The happy hour drink special was fantastic and our group of 7 had plenty of food after ordering their Combo D meat special. Would go again.
