TOGO’S Sandwiches

GROSS!!! I came to get soup and what I saw them do was beyond disgusting. The employee went to the fridge, which customers can see. He opened the door, and grabbed a filthy, dirty container which looked like it hadn’t been washed in a long time. In the container was «soup» or what was left of it. He was going to put that container in the microwave and serve it to me. WTF!!! I left!
Place is filthy and nothing is fresh. BEWARE

I give this place 2 stars for 3 reasons 1 customer service was a ²⁄₁₀ they where watching tv in the back and the place looks clean but not the. Equipment that was dirty and the 3^rd resin is it is expensive I spent $ 12 for a bbq pulled pork & cheddar sandwich this must be one big reason why it is so empty and why the customer service is shitty first time ever coming to togos and it will be my last if you want good service this is not the place for you Evan subway is better than this place

From the moment we walked into this empty spot, we were not greeted and just looked at us like what were we doing there. What looked to be husband and wife ownership working on the line could care less also. The husband rang my order up, put the receipt on the counter with a pen and slid it over. Whatever food he was handling earlier left nice, greasy impressions all over my receipt. I asked if he needed my signature and he said, «yeah». For restauranteurs, one would think that their customers are the life of their business as is great service! We didn’t get any of that here. The one saving hope was another employee who had a beard. Nice guy. I felt bad he was working in this environment. We won’t be back.

I used to eat at this location frequently. Stopped for a while after a few bad experiences. I went back for lunch today and was disappointed yet again. There were three thin slices of deli turkey on my turkey avocado sandwich. My coworker had a chicken salad sandwich that had very little chicken. With drinks and chips the total was over $ 22. I used to justify the extra cost of the sandwiches at TOGO’s because I didn’t feel slighted. I think the Subway two blocks up the street is a much better value. I know their staff is more friendly.

We were stuck at PIH over the weekend and we were looking for non cafeteria food so we wound up here. The sandwiches were really good but the customer service was horrible. I spent over $ 50 and still felt like I was putting him out. I order sandwiches straight off the menu with no substitutions or additions but he looked at me like I ordered the most complicated sandwiches ever.
It really sucks when you are having a stressful time across the street (come on guys, you know you are right next to a hospital) and come here only to feel like you are annoying your sandwich maker. I will be taking my $ 50 for lunch to another location. The food was good no thank you on the attitude

For my Bookmark Monday this past Monday (4÷6÷15) I chose TOGO’S Sandwiches in Whittier.
It’s across the street from PIH at the end of a strip mall. Parking wasn’t a problem as there was a lot shared with the other eateries and businesses.
Honestly, I was rather shocked by all the negative reviews.
The place was mostly clean. I had no issues with the employees’ appearances or their hygiene. The service was mostly courteous, however, they seemed a little indifferent towards other customers. I think my personality has a little something to do with the service I always receive. Anyway…
What kind of irritates me about this place was how the menu was set up and how the prep area is set up to make you think you can see your sandwich being made.
About the former… I felt a little rushed to tell the lady what I wanted to order, particularly since I’d never been to a TOGO’S. Then I saw the specials. Monday is the hot pastrami. Which I ordered. On San Francisco style sourdough. I got it with all the fixings (mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onions, pepperoncinis, & pickles) she spouted out, but I wasn’t sure if there was different vegetables that I could add.
So that’s where the latter issue comes into play… I’m average height for a female, I think. 5’6″. The way TOGO’S is set up makes you think you’d be able to see over the counter to check up on your sammy, but no… not if you’re a «shorty» like me.
The daily hot 6″ combo ($ 5.26) comes with a drink ($ 1.74). I picked out some of those Miss Vickie’s kettle cooked crunchy jalapeño chips. My total came out to $ 7.63. Very comparable to all the other popular chain sandwich makers.
The sandwich was very filling. Pretty good. All the veggies were fresh. Most of the pastrami was good except for a few pieces I couldn’t chew up. If I were to go here again, I think I’d be up for the triple dip (½ pound of roast beef, turkey & pastrami topped with Provolone & creamy horseradish mayo) with a side of au jus.
The blackberry jasmine iced green tea was okay. Not sweet at all. Not my favorite green tea, but I don’t drink sodas much.
Grade A from the Health Department.
There was no one eating in the dining area when we were there, but several people came in and out for pickup orders while I was waiting at around 11:45 a.m. It’s a decent place if you’re in the area or if you need a break from visiting the hospital.

Worst Sandwiches I’ve had from Togo’s by far. Service wasn’t all that bad… which is why I gave 2 stars.

Very attentive to your needs, great customer service, very clean, sandwich was yummy!

This establishment needs to disappear really fast. All of the sandwich makers/​cashiers are dirty and are in desperate need of a bath and grooming, especially in a food handling business. the food is mediocre at best, which is sad because Togo’s usually has very good sandwiches.
the worst part by far, the owner/​manager with the incredibly poor orange hair dye ruins my day every time I see him. this person acts as if you, the customer, are a major inconvenience to him. when your food is ready, he rings up the total and stands there with a stupid look on his face and an outstretched hand waiting for money. im not sure where he is from, but in America, we tell our customers the total and ask for payment. on numerous occasions I have had to stand there in a stalemate waiting for him to give me a price, as I refuse to hand him money until he does.
long story short, avoid the orange wig and food prepared by dirty employees, go elsewhere!

I was charged 1.65 for one bag of potato chips! Are you kidding me? I think I was deliberately overcharged, because I only got a sandwich and a bag of chips, not a combo. Anyway, 1.65 for exactly 1 ½ oz of chips! Seriously? You aren’t the only game in town and by the way does the manager know that’s ridiculous? No wonder, no one is ever in this sandwich shop anymore.

Before I came in here I was going to carls jr. That’s a different story. Story short I went to carls went into the restroom first and it was discussting. So I left and went to Togos instead. Before I went in it looked empty so I had second thoughts but there was nothing else that looked good. So I order an Italian sub. Love Italian subs. I thought it was going to be good. It tasted like s&&&. I paid $ 10 for a f&&&&& up sandwich and a soda. If you order an Italian sub make sure they put everything the sandwich is suppose to have. (they asked «with everything» i should have said make sure to put everything.) this was my first time going to a Togos. Never again.
P. s. It gave me the runs.

This place nauseates me. Never will step foot in here again. First of all the place is FILTHY! Came here about a month ago with my grandpa for lunch and while the workers were making our food, I slowly felt myself losing my appetite. By time we sat down both my grandpa and I were disgusted and didn’t want to eat our food. We took a few bites, left and went somewhere else.
The employees have facial piercings and uncovered beards. Stains all over their hats and shirts (probably never wash them). One employee in particular looks like he doesn’t shower. His greasy and sweaty hair hangs out from underneath his hat, his face is all greasy and broken out. I can’t believe they have these people handling food.
I figured I would try the place one more time so I walked in with a friend today and saw the same horrible things as before and we left and went to subway. Do not go here!!! I repeat, DO NOT! If these people can’t even take care of themselves and look cleanly and nice then what makes you think they’ll take care of the food! Ugh *gag*

I love! Love love ToGo’s and they’d easily get 5 stars if it weren’t for the service… Pick-​up NEVER READY… And the couple of younger guys working there have really bad attitudes; however, went in today and they had someone working there that looked like the owner… pick-​up was ready and they actually smiled! Hope this is a new trend if so I’ll repost!

Slow service, no cleanliness, bad customer service, and I’m eating a Chinese chicken wrap that’s soaked in dressing. … no exaggeration.. soaked (nasty)

I was feeling like a sandwich so i came in later than the typical lunch time. Place was empty guy behind the counter was nice. My sandwich was good. I don’t expect too much from this place so it met my standards.

I dislike writing bad reviews because somehow I think karma is going to come back to me and my own business, but seriously this place is gross! The staff has no cleanliness, they all have piercings in the face that they mess with when making food, they have facial hair, large sweat marks on their dirty shirts. The place is extremly dirty, soda machine has gunk on it, floor around the corners has caked on dirt, tables are groody, its just nasty.

Worst customer service you will ever find. Seriously, if you’re thinking about stopping by at this location; don’t. You’re better off going anywhere else.

Sometimes I wonder whether there is any hopes for humanity and places like this indicate that I will have better luck digging myself a hole to die in silence.
My son, hubster, and I stopped by this morning for a quick bite before we headed out to out Sunday adventures. The place was empty and we had to wait a few minutes for the employee, Albert, to even realize we were there.
The hubby ordered a regular roast beef sandwich which they couldn’t heat the meat for unless they toasted it (even tho there were three microwaves behind him). No biggie. I ordered my son a kids meal which according to the menu, included a sandwich, a side (chips, cookie, or brownie) and a 12 oz drink for $ 4.75. I ordered the Santa Fe Salad but asked to be made in a wrap.
At this point, another employee began his shift and Albert told him to ring us up. I don’t know what the hell was so complicated about ringing a sandwich, a wrap as a combo, and a kids meal. We repeated what we got at least six time and he couldn’t comprehend! Finally he told us it was 21 bucks and I asked him for the receipt because he didn’t give us one. Sure enough he charged my son’s brownie (which should have been included in the kids meal price) separately.
My guy told me to let it go (as you can see he is the pacifist of the two of us) as I sit to eat my wrap I open it up to find it’s something completely different than I had ordered! I go back to tell Albert and this fool had the BALLS to tell me it’s their most popular wrap they have as if that shit is going to convince me into eating something I didn’t order! I told him I can carless if the Obama ate those kinds of wraps, I wanted what I ordered and paid for! He made me a huge deal by sighing and whining like a little girl as he made me a new wrap. I was done and I know my dude could see I was going to turn into the Incredible Hulk so we just left.
I hope you take the money you ripped off from us and put it into starting a training program because you suck! I am never coming here again!

I have been here several times, it is always as expected. I do not expect a $ 20 sandwich for $ 5. Reasonable expectations, it is better than other fast food options like burgers and burritos. Always a great value.
Not a whole lot to say, it is a sandwich. Nothing spectacular, but definitely delicious.
