Just had some great tacos. Good meat, spicy salsa. The place isn’t the nicest, but I’m sure that’s a big factor in their great prices. Recommended.

They have okay tacos but it’s really annoying that they close and open whenever they feel like it and don’t abide by the store’s posted hours. It sucks to look forward to the food only to drive by a closed place when it’s supposed to be open. Half the time we show up, they lock up the door with the gates but they’re eating with their families inside.

I’ve eaten at alot of taco places and this one is by far one of my favorite beside la Victoria and tacos aranda in pico(by those names alone u should know I know my shit when it comes to tacos). But anyways I’ve tried the carnitas and Asada and both were ohhh so good… The one thing I will warn u about is the salsa is HOT! But it’s still one of my favorite salsas. Try their wet green burrito with carnitas. Shit if its any indicator of how good this place is, the only reason I’m writing this review is because I just had a left over taco my girlfriend’s sister gave me haha.

As Unilocaler Tina-Marie noted I also saw the Sergio’s sign and wondered hoped they were related to the one in Montebello because their tacos and Salsa are off the hook good! though due note that review was from Jan 2010, and sense or more recently(2013) have several slamming the place, what gives? The wife and I go inside and are the only ones in the place, mid day on a weekend! unlike this location. We ordered up some food, drinks and was served rather quickly though the friendly gentleman forgot two of the items *(you might try writing down your orders, instead of trying to remember them!) just sayin’… Tacos — Carne Asada — Colorless, Flavorless, slight;y shredded it’s more like«DESEBRADA» than Asada… #Fail Al Pastor — They do have a TROMPO… nicely marinated, strong pina flavor, nice little pieces of caramelized onions, VERYGOODALPASTOR4-Stars Carnitas — Crispy Pork is my Best Friend! this taco had more crispy pieces than moist pieces, not sure if I just got fortunate of this is then nor on how they cook Carnitas? for me it was all good! 4.5-Stars Buche/Dorado — I always ask for my Buche to be cooked Bien Dorado the crispier the better and they done a real good job, crunch, crunch, crunch 4-Stars Torta de Carne Asada — Yeah /face-palm while the torta itself was nice I know the wife would have preferred the Al Pastor if she knew the asada was not really asada! 2-Stars Sope de Carne Asada — You see folks let this be a lesson, Pancho ordered 4 tacos yet they are all different meats!, WHY? for reasons like this where the wife orders two items of the same meat and it’s Crap, you know what that means? She got Crap X Two! One thing different than most they use Cabbage on their Sope instead of Lettuce that EVERYONE uses… I prefer the lettuce! 2-Stars Overall the food was pretty good as long as you AVOID the CARNEASADA… and Two Thumbs up for the SALSA

Don’t even waste your time on giving this place a try, bad quality and service. I didn’t want to judge on my bad experience from the first time I went there so I gave it another try and got the carnitas. The pork meat was bad, I got a bad food poisoning from their carnitas tacos. GROSS.

I saw a Sergio’s sign a few months ago around the block and wondered(and secretly hoped) that it would be the same Sergio’s as the one in Montebello. And while there has been movement inside as they’ve been remodeling the interior, I had sort of forgotten about it. On my way home I notice that there were balloons outside and a sign that read NOWOPEN! I find myself interested in trying it but mainly because there’s a good chance I’ll get FIRSTIES(which I did)! :-P I turn the corner and when I check my mail, they have put a postcard on my mailbox that has their menu and prices on one side and their location(S) on the other. And sure enough, it IS the same Sergio’s as the one in Montebello. I walk in the door and I tell hubby that I know what we’re eating for dinner. :) (Un)luckily for us, it’s within walking distance. So, we walk on over and the cashier is extremely sweet and takes our order. Even though this establishment is more of a fast food type place where you order and then retrieve your food at the window, they brought our drinks and food to our table. They have tacos, burritos, sopes, and tortas among other things. They offer menudo and pozole on the weekends. The food is tasty and the prices can’t be beat. They are currently having their soft opening and won’t be having their Grand Opening until January 23rd. They won’t be accepting credit/debit payments until they are officially«open» so until then it’s a cash only basis.
