Dusty’s Tavern

Dusty’s is a hidden gem. I love restaurants that you’re a little unsure driving by if you should go in, but when you sit down you know you are in the right place.
First thing to remember, it’s a bar (w/​good food). No credit cards.
I’ve never looked to at a menu (I’m not even sure there is a menu???) I’ve only looked at the «specials» on the table.…Walleye, Lake Perch, Frog Legs, etc.
The fish is served with «appetizers».. .rolls, cottage cheese, beets, coleslaw, kidney bean salad. Those who grew up going to Phil Smidt’s or Teibels will know the style.…it’s a bar fare version of Phil’s.
My favorite is the Lake Perch w/​drawn butter. It’s reasonably priced and friendly service. I’m pretty sure every time we’ve been there it’s the same people working and eating/​drinking.
Get there early on a Friday because the local Firemen always eat up all the specials early. . we are talking 6pm or earlier!!!
