I want to like this place. Burgers were supposed to be half off today, server failed to mention that this excludes double burgers. When questioned, our server stated she didn’t know about the exclusion. I thought that was part of her job. I have been multiple times and never once have I received water without requesting it. I love the concept of Bulldog, but their service just misses the mark.

Two stars for having a cute waitress. Otherwise, food was mediocre with the fish saturated in grease but flavor not terrible, fries were burnt– you could smell the old burnt oil used to fry in. Beer is hit or miss. As we left the establishment, we noticed another patrons fries had a nicer color(not burnt). We like to support our neighborhood businesses but I’m sorry I can’t spend 11 dollars on 4greasy pieces of fish and burnt fries that they tried to justify and say were meant to be crispy.

Clean place, excellent beer, good sandwich, this is a basic primer for what it means to run a brewery with food service. Nothing here is trying to be something it’s not. Competence is such a joy to find these days. Beers were crafted with the kind of attention to BALANCE that’s so rare these days as to be a forgotten art. Beer is an art and a science. Five well deserved and rarely given stars.

Had lunch here the other day. The IPA beers I tried we very good. I had the Mac and Cheese with bacon and scallions. It was delicious. My dad had the fish and chips. He said it was excellent. The homemade fries went perfectly. They even had malt vinegar for the fish. I believe our server was Robbie. He was one of the best servers I’ve ever seen –Attentive, friendly and knowledgeable.

The beers and food are pretty good. Some of the seasonal beer has been good and not so good. Most of the time Rob is a one man show – bartender and waiter. Works hard at trying to provide a good level of service. Always interesting to see the owners in and not doing much but eating and drinking. They’ll step in occasionally, but should more often, in my opinion. We frequent the establishment because Rob does take care of us. Seems to know the beers enough to get by, but would be beneficial to have a higher level of knowledge.

Sooooo its strike 3… we seat our selves at the only available table which was dirty and we waited over 25 minutes for someone to realize we were sitting there. Actually I had to flag a waitress down as for some reason noone seemed to notice us, not even the waitress who was actually working out section. I fail to see how this place stays in business… definitely our last trip here…

Service kinda stinks. I arrived with three other people and we waited about 20 minutes to get our first drinks. The on tap variety of Beers are expensive and gave me the bubble guts. Habanero shrimp appetizer is very good. Check it out for yourself and see what you think.

Great local place. Nowadays, there are breweries popping up everywhere; however, it takes a place that does more than just make decent beer to pull in a foodie like myself. The food was really good and the drinks were good, too. I read people saying avoid the fried pickles, but I really liked them. Also, the beer was not bad at all. I may not be a beef aficionado, but their light beer was good. Go out and try a good place in the region!

Went to Bulldog yesterday and it is now on our list of favorite breweries in NWI. The bar is fully stocked with liquors, wines, and full line of Bulldog beers. Rob was our bartender and was very knowledgable about the beers as well as many mixed drinks. We had a basket of fish and chips and it was fantastic. The fish was lightly breaded and the fries seemed to be homemade. The overall bar is great and a neat experience. Highly recommend!

Bulldog’s homebrews are not good, but they bring in great beers from other craft breweries. Food is pretty bad, except the fried pickles. Service is always good. Atmophere is ok.

What can I say not impressed at all! First I attempted to order a drink from their special menu only to find out their main liquor Bacardi which is needed for 4 out of 6 drinks on said menu they didn’t have… upsetting but moved on to ordering food, mozzarella wedges were good actually best part off entire visit! Then after a 40 min wait we finally received our lunch I ordered pizza on flat bread which came completely black… yummy! I sent it back and shared my friends panini and fries which was a let down as well. When I finally received a new pizza it was ok but nothing special. Thank God I went in with a coupon because even after all that it was 30 $ would never go back!

If you can get there when the have the barrel aged scottish ale, then RUN by all means. Husband digs their industrial harbor IPA. High ABV as well. Their burgers are delicious. The pulled pork topped with Gouda is awesome. Potato skins are a meal in themselves. The pita pizzas or whatever they are on are good as well. The chips with various salsas are lame and bland(I mean really sad) and the fried veggie platter/onion rings I find a bit limp and greasy like the fryer is not hot enough(ordered them more than once so no fluke) BUTTHOSEARENOREASONTOSKIPIT. Thumbs up on beers and most food.

Most unaytentive bartender. We quickly ordered drinks and went to buffalo wild wings. If the service is that bad I can imagine the food. 06/29/2014 what a joke!

Had to stop in to see Jillian. Beer battered shrimp is wonderful and Nina had pulled pork which was great too. We will return. Trish the hostess/waitress/busboy is incredible too.

I like the veggie sandwich I have had here. I came when they first opened and was not impressed but again I did like the veggie sandwich. They have guest brews which is nice because I don’t care for their beer that much but our friends wanted to come here today. Today I have a chicken caesar salad and it is ok. The croutons are kinda crummy though. My husband loves the fried pickles and I tried one and it was good. My friend likes the nice pretzel bun but then bit in and found the bun to be hard and a bit pretentious. My husband liked having the Roby Red beer with the pickles.

The beer is not very good at all. I visited during Perogi Festival, so the place was packed. I asked for the house recommendation. My friends and I agreed that it was undrinkable. Because of the crowding, the only place to set the unfinished beers was back on the counter, which made for an awkward exchange with the bartender. I didn’t intend to insult them, as it is their place and a ton of other people seemed to like it or not care or not know any better, but I think I did.

I came back with a group and had food this time. I can go with 3.5 stars. I had the bleu cheese burger, and it was decent, thought the pretzel bun was a bit hard. Most were happy with their selections. The service was also a bit slow, but we did have a large group of 14. Can’t complain about the craft brew selection though, which is quite nice.
