I’m a 43 year old professional musician and I’ve been going to Caldwell connection since I was 14! It may be one of the last old school mom and pop music store left in boroughs and certainly the last one in queens. Dave is always friendly and helpful and Chris(the guitar teacher) is not only patient and knowledgable but also one of the best jazz players I’ve had the pleasure of hearing. For an old school music store experience this place just can’t be beat.

This place is great! I bought my first drum set there back in 1999. They’ve always gave me a fair price and they are very knowledgable. The place may look like a blast from the past to some, but to me. She’s vintage classic rock!

I take guitar lessons with Rob and he is a great teacher. I’ve learned a great deal about music and guitar and it’s fun. I also brought two guitars there for setup and they do a very good job. All their prices are reasonable or downright less than the big music emporiums. I also buy my strings there and all the other peripherals for learning and playing music. This institute of music in Whitestone is a treasure that we should all support with our business. The owner, Dave, is a great guy and passionate about music… actually everybody is at Caldwell Connection and it got me too.

The Caldwell Connection sells used CDs and new and used musical instruments. They also repair musical instruments and provide music lessons. The owner is an absolutely great guy and a pleasure to deal with. Dealing with Dave(said owner) is a million times better than the attitude’s you’ll get from many of the employees at Sam Ash or Guitar Center.
