Williams-Sonoma

Was really disappointed with our experience here tonight. We waited a long time even though there was only one couple in front of us. The cashier was fawning all over then because they bought some expensive Le Creuset stuff. She’s giving them pretzel samples, she’s giving them coupons, asking where they want their receipt, to the point it was getting a bit obnoxious because it was taking so long and we were clearly waiting. Finally it’s our turn, she rings up our soap, but her behavior is completely different. She takes a phone call while she’s doing the transaction. Samples are clearly sitting there, she doesn’t offer us one, and when she’s done, she just shoves our bag at us and says «thanks.» I don’t think it would have been as strange if she hadn’t been so completely salivating over the couple in front of us. I joked with my son as we left, «do you think maybe we smell bad or something?» And he’s like, «Mom, we each took a shower like two hours ago!» I realize we weren’t buying high end cookware, but to so obviously treat one customer differently than another… no bueno. This is not a cheap store. We spent money too. Dear retailers of high end, even overpriced merchandise. We customers have eyes and ears. We notice these things.

i sure do love me some Williams-​Sonoma. Where else in the LV can you get specialty spices and rubs? I haven’t found anywhere else… though I’ve only been here for a few months.
Have you tried the Beer Marinade yet? You really should. It’s great on chicken. Let it marinate overnight and throw it on the grill. Tasty stuff!

I love Williams-​Sonoma! I have visited Williams-Sonoma’s throughout the US and have never been treated as poorly as I was in this one. I will probably not venture back to this location and buy online.

This location is part of the new Lehigh Valley Outdoor Lifestyle Center and I’m totally in love with it. Wüsthof knives on sale? (Bought one for a friend and one for me!) Hell yes.
Friendly and knowledgeable salespeople, well-​stocked/​well-​organized shop and tons of gorgeous kitchen goodies to play with? Heaven on earth if you ask me.

I heart Williams-​Sonoma! They have an awesome selection of upscale kitchen appliances and gadgets. I love their new home cleaning products line (especially the hand lotions). They carry a ton of speciality foods, many of which are manufactured especially for them. Beware of their taste tests; I guarantee you’ll get hooked on something pricey, but oh so good! :-D
I enjoy going to their cooking demos that they offer on Sunday mornings/​Monday nights at the store. It’s not as good as a real cooking class, but it’s good for ideas and you always get to eat a bit of what they make.
I really like the staff at this location. They are very friendly and everyone I’ve worked with has been very knowledgeable.
