Not only does my hair look fantastic when I get up out of the chair but it is growing and healthier then it has ever been. Diane Da Costa the proprietor and curly textured expert is extremely knowledgeable about hair care and it is evident by each and every healthy head of hair leaving the salon.

To say that I am disappointed would be an understatement! I found Diane after moving to the Westchester area in 2014. I needed a precision cut and decided to give SimpleeBeautiful a try. My experience that evening left me pleased and believing that I had found a place that would cater to my natural hair care needs. I was pleased enough with Diane to recommend her to friends and family, however, I recently went to SimpleeBeautiful for protective styling and was sorely disappointed. I requested a mohawk styling… Cornrows on the sides and two strand twists in the middle. The first attempt at creating this style did not go well at which point I contacted Diane, the proprietor, the very next morning to express my concerns. She offered to correct the issue a week later. I arrived for my appointment at 10:30am and did not leave until 7:50pm and unfortunately the outcome was WORSE than the initial attempt!!! The cornrows at the sides were not uniform and it was very obvious! The braids on the left side was MUCH larger than the braids on the right. The braids themselves were not installed neatly and it appeared that they were done by an amateur. Two days after the install one of the twists in the back fell out! More than anything I would have appreciated transparency. I would have preferred to be told that the style that I requested did not fall within their expertise than to have been subjected to TWO failed attempts. I would still recommend Diane for basic natural hair care, however, unfortunately, I would NEVER recommend her for anything beyond that.

I’m so happy I found Simplee Beautiful! From the moment I walked in it was a relaxing, luxurious experience. After the consultation, I knew I could trust them to take great care of my coily, natural hair and they did not disappoint! I left with smooth, healthy, shiny hair! I’m already planning to go back for twists :)

I came to SimpleeBeautiful a few years ago while at a crossroads with my hair. I had taken a break from relaxers while trying to sort out what to do with my hair. I had a been suffering from severe breakage in some areas. Diane Introduced me to a gentle texturizing and I’ve never looked back. My daughter now also comes for chocolate smoothing treatments with Courtney and it has been a God-​send for the both of us.

I visited this salon a few months ago to do the ‘big chop’. I was very happy with my cut and received many compliments on my new look. I colored a small patch of hair in the front of my head and was given a tapered cut around the sides and back with the front and middle left with a longer length. I received the exact style I requested, which unfortunately, has not been my experience in the past at other salons. The hair stylist, Diane, was very friendly and provided me with a lot of tips on keeping my hair healthy and moisturized. Diane used high quality hair products, and she handled my hair with care, which is very important to me. Also, the salon was sleek and relaxing. Overall, I was very satisfied with the service and will be visiting this salon every 4 – 6 months to trim/​reshape my hair.

Last year I took a break from perming my hair and went into braids for about four months. When I was finally ready to go back to wearing my hair I wanted to find another option outside of getting a perm. I’m not ready to tackle going natural but I wanted to slowly move away from using perms. I decided to try the Chi Enviro Smoothing treatment which ended up being a great choice (check my profile for a before and after photo). I recommend this salon if you are looking for a place that can actually advise you about what works best for your hair and lifestyle. Customer service is on point and I love being able to book my appointments online. What’s even better is being able to go home with my favorite Carol’s Daughter products. If you come across a Group deal snatch it up, but deal or no deal this salon rocks.
