Serafina White Plains

Tried this branch outside Manhattan for the first time. Good corner location, cute décor, attentive service. Salads, lasagna, veal entrees and rose wine were all very good.

Service was fast and food was great. Also love their pizza. Had a great time.

Confused about if you could truly call this place Italian or not but regardless had a great meal for a very belated Valentines dinner. We went there an hour until closing so I understand it was late but we just felt so rushed, both my boyfriend and I working in restaurants obviously worked on the holiday ourselves and wanted a chance to enjoy it a week later, especially on a quiet Tuesday.
For apps we had the calamari and prosciutto Buffalini. The calamari was okay, the sauce they brought with it was cold, that kinda ruined it. The prosciutto mozz was reallllly good but as just missing something! Maybe some balsamic or over a piece of bread. I don’t know just felt incomplete.
It was hard to understand our server he was quiet with a thick accent but he mentioned a seafood pasta special that sounded delicious so of course I ordered it … To my surprise it was squid ink pasta, I must’ve missed that one. I was a trooper and tried it although freaked out but It was actually delicious! Small portion though for the price. My boyfriend had the salmon and he loved it.
Overall good experience just kind of confused about the vibe from the restaurant. I guess Italian restaurants in westchester compared to Long Island are more different than expected lol

Horrible food. Went there last night for my friends. What a disappointment. Diner food is better. Food was served cold, and flavorless and expensive. The worst burger of my life. Nothing was freshly made. I should have returned my food. Everything is packaged, or frozen or from a jar. Yuck.

I visited Serafina recently for a friend’s birthday with a group of eight or so. This place is alright. The service was good, wait staff was friendly, but nothing extraordinary. Drinks were less than stellar. Their cocktail menu had some interesting items, but no one at our table was impressed with what they ordered. A couple people didn’t even bother drinking theirs or ordering another.
As for the food, it was good but definitely overpriced. I ordered the lobster ravioli, which was tasty. It appeared to be out of a box, but tasty nonetheless. I was, however, wildly disappointed by the tiramisu. I personally am a huge fan of tiramisu, and when I saw all the reviews that raved about it, I figured I had to get a piece. It was tasteless and boring, and for an «Italian» restaurant, pretty darn bad.
I will say that the timing of the service was good. Our order came quickly, but we never felt rushed by the staff. Overall, I probably won’t go back to this place, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

I have always enjoyed this place. Great service, nice location, I really don’t see why anyone would rate it poorly. He food is good too.

What a find… came here for lunch. Best lasagne I have ever had! Our waiter was very attentive and made sure our glasses of water were always full. Restaurant is in a nice location for people watching. Very nice décor and very relaxing atmosphere– would definitely go back again. I do warn that the entrees are a bit pricey and not very large– decent size. The food is extremely fresh and tasty. Sasha Vujacic of the Knicks was sitting at the next table too.

For anyone looking into brunch spots this is a great spot. I’m usually super picky with my selections but there were so many good choices on the menu it made it hard for me to choose. I went with the spinaci and sunny side egg pizza. The serving was large, definitely a bang for your buck and it was absolutely delicious. Must go brunch spot

Horrible, $ 20 for pasta … Could have been larger portion, tasted exactly like a frozen dinner …

This place is only ok for pizza and that is it. I had a shaved baby artichoke salad that was way overpriced for a few shavings of what I hope was artichoke and a bunch of oil and lemon. They claimed ravioli is home made, I would beg to differ. Risotto was runny and tasteless.
Wait staff was also all over the place. Overall food was poor, overpriced, and not worth another visit.

We got one pie with the works and it was luke warm-​cold and tasteless
The other pie was tasteless, until we asked for the basil that they forgot to put on the pie

Why on earth would you not train your staff to facilitate the purchasing of gift cards? Especially during the holiday season. Drive all the way there from Yonkers to be told «the manager is not here but we can mail it». Yeah I really want to give you my credit card and hope the gift cards gets to me before Christmas. It worked out fine last year so I didn’t think to call. Guess the staff has changed and the manager doesn’t trust them. Very strange. They lost my future business. I went and bought gift cards at Sofrito instead!

Service here is confusing. The servers are really attentive and check on you often, but when they do speak, they seem as if they’re mad. Just awkward with a group of guys coming by your table to just yell at you. It was difficult to gauge if they were angry, because at times, they would smile but the next time they would come, they wouldn’t be so happy.
Anyways, we ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was okay, the sauce was good. It gave it a good kick. The portions were really good.
My main entrée was mediocre. I got the paglia & fieno (white & spinach fettucine) The noodles were way… wayyyy overcooked and piping hot. My friend ordered a different dish and had the same experience with the crazy temperature. She moved some of her noodles to the side and her dish seemed like a volcano, with all the steam rushing out. Now, it was my fault for choosing something without anything else in the sauce (vegetables, meat, seafood), but the sauce wasn’t sufficient for my mushy pasta. The sauce itself was tasty– not bad but I’ve definitely had better.
One thing to note is their specials! Ask your server for the list.

Came here with my boyfriend, twice. The first time we came, we both enjoyed our lunch. The second time we came, the food was average.

One of my favorite restaurants. Although all the different restaurants in the chain have their strengths and weaknesses this specific Serafina is top notch in making the bolognese pasta and filet minion salad. Overall great food.

The short: skip it. The food and the service have gone terribly downhill in a way that is downright unacceptable.
I have been here countless times with my family, and although the service has always been subpar, we’ve returned for the food. Yet the pastas and appetizers we ordered last time were horrible, and upon our waiter asking how the food was, we kindly explained our disappointment. He began to explain something nonsensical about the sauces and when we continued to tell him the food wasn’t right he just slowly walked away without responding or notifying the manager. Completely unbelievable. The manager was equally as unprofessional, offering no apology and asking us «what do you want me to do?» He took off one of the pastas from the bill, but could not have handled the situation more poorly. Unbelievable.
I used to love the food at Serafina, but will never return to this location.

The stars were aligned at Serafina’s last night.
On a beautiful breezy Friday evening we were seated outside ready to enjoy a fine dinner and Serafina did not disappoint. We stayed basic Italian all evening starting with two shared appetizers. The Fried Calamari with spicy tomato sauce was a solid choice however the «Prosciutto E Bufaline» was a home run. The prosciutto was excellent — the buffalo mozzarella was freshly outstanding. This is a must order,
The no frills Caesar Salad was what you would expect. The Goat Cheese Salad was another highlight. With baby spinach and honey roasted pine nuts this selection was refreshing and perfect.
There is a tremendous amount of pasta selections on the menu — so that’s where we ventured.
The «Farfalle Al Limoncello» (baby shrimps with lemon zest, lemon juice and cream) sounded unique and was enjoyed. The Penne Alla Vodka was a safe comfort dish that met expectations.
One oddity — When asked we requested bread. We received two (2) thin slices in a basket.
Later — when service asked again we once again received two thin slices. Why the shortage?
Service — for the most part was fine. We advised early that we were here for the long haul so we weren’t rushed. However — at times — service was slow in clearing dishes. Bathrooms are clean and acceptable here. Upon returning to one’s seat your napkin is properly placed in front of you.
No doubt the nice breezy evening played a large part in this positive experience. The outside seating is a fine option and should be considered when dining here.

Came here as a last minute resort. The staff were friendly enough .but the actual service was awful. The food was overly expensive for a very minimal amount of food. We had to ask for water and bread and the food took over an hour to come out
Never coming to this place again! Avoid this place at all costs! !

I was tricked into going to this place again, after fighting my stubborn friends about it, citing for them a couple of prior poor experiences.
To keep it brief, this overrated, very overpriced «Italian» restaurant features below-​average food that barely looks or tastes like authentic Italian food, the speciality drinks and wine list both suck, and the service is inattentive and slow.
The only saving grace of my most recent, and definitely final, visit to this farce of a restaurant is that my hardheaded friends FINALLY conceded that this is indeed a terrible restaurant. There are SO many better and more reasonably-​priced Italian restaurants in the area, so please save yourself the money and aggravation of ever going here!
