Had a bad slice, the toppings worked through the crust :(-sadface– I am finding that slices when the owner isn’t around are subpar, and served warm, not hot. Not cool. Sad this is my last review! Luca Bella closed January 2016 with no notice

One of the better pizzas on Mamaroneck Ave., which isn’t saying much. I never tried the weird toppings, which actually looked kind of gross and«un-pizzalike», but the regular slice gets a pass. That’s not to say it’s super great, but if you can get over the pizza guy’s weird manner, the quality is a bit better than others on the strip. Sauce/cheese/bread ratio is more on point than Mario’s or Famigli-yuk. Unfortunately, the only people giving it five-stars are tourists from Portland or Vegas. Shucks, hasn’t he tried Sizzle Pie?

This is a solid NY pizza shop, the best I’ve found in WP since moving here a little over a year ago. The pizza is delicious. Delivery is usually around an hour but that’s to be expected since we usually order on a Friday night, it’s definitely worth the wait.

The absolute worst pizza! They are very inconsistent. One out of every five times its decent and they get the order right. In fact, they are usually out of a main ingredient like basil… How can an Italian restaurant be out of anything let alone basil? When I called last night he asked if I wanted the thick or thin Sicilian. just as I was answering he said«oh were out of the thick crust… WHAT? We have given them several chances and this was definitely the last time we will EVER eat/order pizza from Luca Bella. The restaurant is about 1 mile from our apartment and has never made it in under an hour. Usually it takes between 60 – 70 min for delivery and when it arrives its Luca Warm. We always have to heat it up in the oven. DISGUSTING!!!

The actual pizza is 4.5 stars but here’s the deal — the pies are not made individually, they are mixed. 2 or 3 different toppings on one pie = you get the short end. a very noticeably smaller portion dependent on what you order. We had the following slices: Chicken scarpiello Vodka sauce Sausage & Broccoli Rabe Margharita The latter slices were huge whereas the former were cut very small so as to not overlap onto the tomato/fresh mozzerella and some other version I don’t quite recall. Taste is fantastic. Crust on the chicken scarpiello was extremely dry, tough to chew. Rest room and dining area were both neat. Would visit again for a slice if in the area but wouldn’t go out of my way since the sizing is a toss up.

Got delivery here again last week. Good came at the tail end of the estimated time, but was still great Italian food. I really like getting food from here, they have plenty of options and always respond to my special requests.

Located near whiteplains fire department station. Not so spacious. Ordered all vegetable pizza. It was yummy. Could not eat the whole in one sitting. Ate the left back next day. Was almost of same flavor and equally crispy. Will surely go again

Great food and great service! Lou is great and offers wonderful recommendations! Don’t pay any attention to the negative reviews, they must be reviewing the wrong restaurant! Their food and entrees are delicious, some of my favorites are the chicken parm, pasta bolognese, and arrabbiata. One thing I will say is that the one time I ordered the pizza it was average, not bad, but definitely not the best I have ever had. It may have just been a fluke, but I thought it was worth noting.

Not sure what’s happened to this place. They had really great crispy, thin pizza that had awesome flavor and always tasted fresh. Used to order from there constantly. They had the best Buffalo Chicken slice in town, for one, and I loved their stuffed mushrooms. The past two times I’ve ordered the pizza has been soggy and the flavor just not really there. The stuffed mushrooms tasted rancid and disgusting too which has made me nervous to order again. Not sure if there is new staff in the kitchen or something but I hope they turn things around.

Burnt reheated pizza – with friends and all our pizza were cold. The server at the counter was dismissive. …last time I ever spend my money and energy on this place. Goes to show you exactly what kind of people are running this place… he lies and threatens me. I DONOTDRINK… SOOOO I WASNOTDRUNK. I was just up busing friends. You’re just gross and a LIAR. I wish I could give you zero stars… because that is clearly what you deserve. You liar:

Maybe it’s Grubhub or maybe it’s the restaurant. My order was placed and confirmed over an hour and a half ago and I have yet to receive it. WTF?!?

Worst $ 4.50 paid for ONE slice of pizza to-go. By the time I walked to my car(parked like ten feet away), the pizza was cold. The pesto-chicken was soggy, and the dough tasted like chewy cardboard. Maybe it would have tasted fresh at noon. But it was a Friday night, and I assumed that pizza joints keep things moving. I’ll admit that if I wasn’t so hungry, I would have thrown out the rest away. But I was really hungry.

Came in from a recommendation by Ally at the Ritz where I was staying for the night on business. I was torn between my cravings for a burger and some solid pizza pie so she directed me to the most amazing place in White Plains. I ordered the Big Mac pie and as I was watching the guys put it together with tender delicious loving care, my eyes and mouth were watering. Once that beauty came outta that oven Lew told me I had to eat it while it was piping hot and Holy Maria, my eyes rolled in the back of my head, it was stupidly amazing. Seriously, love the guys there, love the pie, love love love it all. Highly recommend it if you’re in the area, I’ll be coming back every time I’m in town.

Okay so this is my first time here and let me tell you, it’s pretty good. When it comes to pizza my standards are high but for White Plains it’s the best I’ve had thus far. More importantly the owner is extremely friendly and welcoming, he really wants everyone to know that they have quality Italian food in an area that lacks good Italian food. He had me try a meatball that were also delicious(not my moms) but definitely close enough! I definitely plan on coming back and getting something off the actual menu(eggplant perhaps — owner mentioned it was delicious). Also they do healthy meals which is awesome and cater to your dietary needs. The actual place itself is super cute for a little pizza place. In addition it seems to be very clean which you don’t usually see in most pizza places — also literally as I was writing this the owner then gave me mozzarella with bruschetta on top — mozzarella was homemade and delicious ! 100% recommend ordering it if you have the chance. I for sure plan on coming back and look forward to ordering something else aside from pizza

We saw all the great Unilocal reviews about Luca Bella and decided to try it out for lunch today. Our meals — and our overall dining experience — were terrific: the food was delish and from the moment we entered the door the owners were warm and entertaining!(In fact, by the end of our lunch we felt like we had become part of the family. :) We definitely will be back!

A brilliant example of how a small pizza place should be. I gotta hand it to Lou and Janet — they’re characters. They’re easy to talk to, make you feel welcome, and, well, damn, their customer service was probably better than their food, which is saying something. The three slices I ordered were delicious. I had the margarita, the vodka sauce, and the veggie medley. Unique pizza seems to be their thing. You can tell they like what they do and are very honestly interested in maintaining relationships with their customers and their community. They seemed the know the names of everyone who came in during my 30 minutes there. So kudos to them — they deserve their rating.

Lew and crew has reinvented the Pizza. From Chicken Francaise to the Big Mac, good healthy slices at a great price. Last night the we had a white pizza, mushroom and onion, slice of Chicken Francaise with Tiramisu for dessert. What is outrageous beyond the delicious flavor are the sizes. A mini is the size of a regular pie, the large should be called a monster large. There were some students coming home from school in Arizona, who also found out that Luca Bella will ship pies via Fed Ex. Nothing like bringing the premier pizza to your door. Another young man drove in from picking up his brother from Barbados. The first destination after arriving in NY was a stop at Luca Bella. Watching the crowds come in and out was almost as interesting. Good to see that there are a group of regulars. That also tells me a lot about the place. Looking forward to our next trip down to White Plains. His brother, asked him to take him to Luca Bella for a visit. They don’t have a Luca Bella in Barbados.
