Brother Jimmy has some amazing food. There cheese burger and Buffalo chicken sliders are the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly employees and the bar have great and friendly bartenders. Highly recommend taking a group of friends. Good times and good food.

It was very good. Our waitress was funny and sweet. She gave our kids balloons and crayons. It was a good family time.

Being a chef and BBQ being one of my specialties I was somewhat reluctant to try Brother Jimmy’s. With the suggestion from my girlfriend, who had eaten here once before, we went in and had a great meal. The only thing that wasn’t good was the lemonade; was like bad sour. I’d highly recommend it and will be back.

Brother Jimmy’s is right near all the rest of the bars on the strip in White Plains. It’s exactly what you’d expect out of White Plains, everything is very average. Probably a decent spot to come and watch a game in the summer, but if you’re looking to go out and have a wild night this place will disappoint. My two biggest complaints are the slow service at the bar and the volume of the music. The bartenders are extremely slow and take forever to close you out even when the place is not that busy. It took me like 20 minutes last time I went to get my card back and the place was maybe 80% full. They also need to turn the music way down, it’s a bar not a club. You can’t even have a conversation with someone standing right next to you which is annoying. I was making myself lose my voice because I had to talk so loud. If you come with a big group of people I could imagine this place being more fun, but it’s hard to meet new people when the music is on so loud. On the positive side drinks are decently prices and on Thanksgiving Eve this place is PACKED. It’s pretty clean for the most part too and there are tables in the back where you can go chill if you don’t want to be right by the bar.

The food and service were good. I’ll be back soon to try more items off of their menu!

The first thing I noticed upon entering was the stench of stale beer wafting from the bar area. That was a bit unappetizing, but we had to sit in the bar area to take advantage of the happy hour specials, so we got used to it. If you can tolerate the occasional country song(there’s one about a woman who is attracted to farm equipment, which I find a bit weird but hey I’ve got some strange fetishes of my own so I’m not one to judge) it’s actually a decent restaurant. The Carolina BBQ was«pretty good», according to a friend of mine who just got back from spending three weeks in South Carolina, so I’ll take his word as an expert. I love the cornbread, but they didn’t have fried chicken which kind of sucks. Also they have a variety of BBQ sauces at each table, which I like to put a dab of onto my knife and lick off, and pretend I’m a Colombian drug lord sampling his product. Also, the waitress was very cute and friendly, so five stars for her. But I’m really attractive, so maybe she was just being nice because of that. I’m not sure how she would treat an uglier customer. All in all a good experience, would definitely come back.

The food is ok. It was a nice bar atmosphere and it had plenty of space but I just didn’t feel«the love» which i get from many BBQ joints.

My friend and I went for lunch. The food was bland and very overpriced. The service was terribly slow(even though the place was not crowded), and the waitress got our order wrong. There are much better restaurants in White Plains, and if this one doesn’t step it up — it will be on the way out.

Question to the manager: Is your mac and cheese from a box? Do you leave it sitting all day in a huge pot? We ordered it and it was just mushy, overcooked pasta with no flavor. SERIOUSLY!

Brother Jimmy’s is one of my favorite BBQ place to go in the area. Great atmosphere and unique décor make it an enjoyable experience. They have a great drink selection. The staff is friendly and attentive. Sarah our waitress was phenomenal!

Possibly the worst BBQ I’ve ever had. I didn’t expect it to be Austin level, but it was more like Applebees. They have a «Whiskey Menu» and didn’t have any of the whiskeys I tried to order. Our appetizers showed up 2 minutes before the entrees. Ribs were lukewarm, and the mashed potatoes tasted like they had been sitting in a container since the day before. So disappointed with the food. More of a sports bar than a place for good BBQ. Terrible. Never again.

I’ve only been once so far, but the service was good that time. The atmosphere is pretty much of a sports bar, but they serve traditional BBQ. I don’t like that the kitchen closes so early for a restaurant of its nature and location though. I ordered a sliced brisket sandwich with mac and cheese on the side. They came kind of cold, but I was starving. I actually really liked the mac and cheese. I felt like the brisket was dry and tough. By the way, this was lean brisket. They didn’t have marbled when I went.

The food is always great. Today service is super slow. I ordered naked wings as an appetizer and it’s been about 25 minutes and NO wings. Not sure what’s going on today.

First time visit yesterday and not going back. Went there for lunch — ordered the pulled pork sandwich, hushpuppies and decided to try one of their drinks. The hushpuppies were o.k. — with maple butter gave them just a bit of flavor. The pork sandwich was o.k. — fair amount of meat, not much flavor and the BBQ sauce was awful. The Carolina sauce — you could see the water in the bottle… very watery and runny. I decided to use the Original sauce… shaking the bottle up in hopes of a less watery taste. No chance. The very best part came down to the drink. The list of alcoholic beverages is good and of great variety. I was happy to try one, The Palmetto Punch. A good drink except there was a fat fly at the very bottle of glass. Red eyes, wings, legs up in the corner of the glass. Yes, this location is very open, with window seats to bring in fresh air. But this fly was buried under all the ice cubes in my drink. The end result — they did not to charge me for the drink. The manager I believe, came over and said sorry and that because the bar has so many window openings — these things tend to happen. If that is the case, shut the windows or provide covers for various beverages. Or maybe this happened due to the lack of cleanliness at the bar. Less than average tasting food, watery bbq sauce and manager did not show much concern for overall customer satisfaction. Will not return and I will spread the word.

Not very good. Food was poorly prepared and plated. Way too much BBQ sauce, like they are trying to hide the food underneath. Super loud music and untimely service. I will skip this place.

We just ate some delicious BBQ at Brother Jimmys. The place is cute, with a great vibe. They have lots of great specials. We were in the mood for a light lunch, so didn’t try lots of their goodies, but the pulled chicken sandwiches and pulled pork sandwich were tender, juicy, and delicious. For sides we had the collard greens, which were very nicely seasoned and cooked to just the right tenderness, and coleslaw which was tasty and not too heavy. They have all kinds of specials throughout the week. Great place.
