I have to say the Dim Sum is below average. It’s not horrible, but I will not go back. We had the cha shu bao — the dough is not the right kind for traditional cha shu bao. The spareribs is ok The Ha gao which is the shrimp dumpling was very bad. This is a star dish for all dimsum place. If you can’t get Ha gao(Shrimp dumpling) right. that is a big problem. The dough falling off /meaning over steam. the shrimp is not fresh. Service is good, place is ok. Very sad, because there is not a lot of option for dim sum in the area.

This has become our go-to dim sum place in Westchester. I’m Asian. so I’m usually pretty picky about Asian food. The dim sum here is fresh and delicious. The people are generally very nice as well. The selection may not be as wide as Chinatown in Manhattan or Flushing but the food quality is better in my opinion. If you are going on the weekends, there is usually a long line as it’s a very popular spot. The reason I’m giving it a 4-star instead of 5 is because the dishes from the menu are often disappointing based on my experience. We tried Central Seafood as well which is not too far from Aberdeen. The dishes from the menu are very good there but the dim sum is very mediocre. So it depends on what you are looking for.

The service here is extremely slow. Not too many people there, a lot of tables are empty, it took 15 mins to get seat. I ordered a ginger scallion shrimp and scallop. It took a hour to service to my table. And it only has 3 shrimp in it for $ 21.5!!! They are not big shrimp just normal. So disappointed!!! I never met a Chinese restaurant like this even in Chinatown or flushing.

Love the dim sum. There were a lot of choices and when they didn’t have what you are looking for, they would have it done by the kitchen right away. Excellent service. They would talk to you in English and explain what they are offering. Would definitely come back and recommend this place.

Would not come back no matter how desperate I was for Chinese food. Food is greasy and tasteless. Would rather take the train to Chinatown downtown and get the real thing.

Good food. I liked heir curry puff looking dumpling hung. It was spicy and good. Heir cha su bao was good too. A crowded restaurant is always a good sign.

Was in the mood for a treat cuz I’ve been a good boy. Ordered take out. Hot and Sour soup with a half Peking Duck. The soup was absolutely authentic Hong Kong style and the duck just as superb. Pricey but, when the food and service are excellent you shouldn’t expect bargain prices. As I always say — Good, fast, cheap. Pick one :) As far as the restaurant, treat yourself. You’re worth it *located inside the Marriott Residence Inn so 3 Barker is the right place

If you want authenticity come to aberdeen! Food is not only really good but you don’t get the feeling that your food has been just reheated or been sitting in grease the whole day! The staff aren’t all that fluent in English but it’s not that much of a problem and I think adds to the ambience. They write the orders down in Chinese, how cute!!! I always have the theory that if you’re going to a restaurant that serves food from a certain area if you don’t see people indigenous to that area the food is probably not that good, not the case here!

This place is in the middle of nowhere! it is in the last place you would think… RESIDENCEINNMARRIOTT hotel! Right next to the DMV. I lived in white plains for 2 years and I could not believe a Queens quality type of dim sum place is right under my nose. i have been driving to Flushing all the time dealing with the pain in the ass crowds when this is 5 minutes away! This is soooo much better than Central Seafood dim sum too

Everything is soooo delicious! The Har Gaw dim sum is to die for. Lobster in ginger sauce, yummmmm. I’ve never had a bad meal here. Great, attentive service without being obtrusive. I LOVE this restaurant!

Good dim-sums for westchester. Often crowded tho, 30 min-1h wait but the service is quick — I think there’s also room for decoration, not the most pretty place to bring a date, more family oriented

Came for Dim Sum today with my girls. Based on the reviews, we tried our best to get there when they first opened at 11AM but alas, life doesn’t always work the way we’d like and we got there by 1130 and had a fifteen minute wait. By 1145, it started getting congested with patrons so, I would definitely say to try to arrive as soon as they open. We sat, were offered and served hot tea and water and proceeded to order our plates. On the upside, this restaurant is way more organized than those in Chinatown. You don’t have to yell for people to come to your table even though that is a big part of the fun; the bustle of the busy and energetic dining room adds to the excitement of dim sum in the city. The downside of Aberdeen is that the food was meh. While you’re dealing with the craziness of those Chinatown spots, you’re also eating loads of super fresh made food. There’s a big difference. We were seated right where the food comes out so, it was almost as if we had first dibs on everything from the kitchen. There was a lady with her cart by us and whenever we wanted something, we would just ask her so it was convenient. She gave us a little tude that we shrugged off; we asked about short ribs, that in the past, has been served at every dim sum spot we’ve ever visited, but Aberdeen, and she seemed annoyed about our inquiry. My friends started off with their Sticky Rice which they liked a lot. We had Har Gow(Shrimp Dumplings), Cheung Fun(Beef Rice Noodle Roll), Har Cheung Fun(Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll), Shrmp/Chive Dumplings, Shrimp/Scallop Dumplings, Shrimp w/Peppers, Chicken Feet, Veggie Dumplings, Sesame Balls, Seafood Shumai and Shrimp Rolls. Everything tasted good. My faves would have to be the Rice Noodle Rolls and the Shrimp/Chive Dumplings. The Chicken Feet were good also; I like the fact that they cut them up so you’re not sucking on a whole foot. They cut up the rice noodles also and it made them not seem so huge. We were a little disappointed with the Sesame Balls. They are always our go-to for dessert after our dim sum brunches but these were dry AF. They were obviously not fresh and seemed to have been cooked before and reheated. Unfortunate. The Shrimp Shumai seemed a little off as well. All in all, the food tasted ok but you could tell that it wasn’t exactly fresh and it’s obvious when compared to the restaurants in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan. Those places are packed for the whole day and they have ridiculous turnover so there’s no way you’re getting served something that is questionable. Aberdeen is really close to my home and the parking is way better than the city but still on the fence about the dim sum and whether it warrants a return visit for dim sum, anyway…

I am preposterously infatuated with the Steamed Shrimp Dumplings. One word describes it and that’s is Scrumptious. Scrumptious Steamed Shrimp Dumplings that’s it, you must try them. Huge, plump shrimp bursting flavor into your mouth.(exhale) I ate them 5 minutes ago and had to run to the PC and rate my jubilant experience. The flavors are still pirouetting in my mouth. I haven’t gotten to the Sesame Chicken with fried rice as yet(don’t want to ruin this moment…) but it smells delightful and I am counting down the minutes to get a moment to myself away from this desk to see what awaits me. Scrumptious Steamed Shrimp Dumplings … the absolute best that I have ever had.

Dim Sum place in White Plains? I’m down. First time, and won’t be last. Food, not the best dim sum I’ve had, but good enough to keep me from going to NYC. The only complain I have is the variety isn’t enough. They really should serve more varieties. But, after the fact, I was told I can order dim sum that was on menu? Oops, I never looked Their décor is a little dated, but that’s ok, the food is gonna bring me back. The staff is also very friendly, and accommodating. Other reviews have talked about the price, yes, it’s more then what we’re used to paying in Chinatown or Flushing, BUT… We’re in White Plains.

Had a variety of great dim sum dishes and the place was packed with a wide variety of people so it definitely seems to be a favorite. Service was ok, but that was eclipsed by the amazing quality of dim sum this side of the Pacific Ocean. It was on par with many places in the big metro area China Town dim sum places. Food was great quality, piping hot, and there were a lot of options to choose from. Like traditional Hong Kong style dim sum, they have servers walking around with carts with all sorts of goodies, they also have wait staff carrying trays of delicacies as well. If you don’t see your favorite, you can order from the dim sum menu. Definitely going to be part of our regular dining repertoire and we live in Stamford. Worth the short drive down.

OMG! Perhaps the best oyster dish I’ve ever had! Huge oysters, perfectly steam with just the right amount of black bean. Would have been better if they’d cut the oysters from the shells before steaming. Very good hot and sour soup, and the lo mein had the wok flavor that is missing in way too many restaurants. If you’re staying at the Residence Inn in White Plains, it would be insane to not eat here(the restaurant is in the hotel). Gotta try the dim sum!

Had some errands to take care of on a Sunday, so afterwards we went for some dim sum around 11AM. We were surprised to find out that they actually open at 11, as usually back home in CA, some even go in the morning to get their dim sum grub on. In order to get to the entrance, you have to walk into the Marriott lobby. Kind of confusing but it’s not too difficult to find. Once we walked in, we were seated immediately. However, as we were leaving, we did notice a small group of people waiting outside. The restaurant was decently sized but I noticed a slightly moldy/old room smell. Regardless, the service was pretty good. The cart started in our area, so we finished our meal in half an hour! They charge $ 1.50 for tea– it was really concentrated tea. so it was a tad bitter. We tried the pork and shrimp shu mai, XLB, turnip cake, and the shrimp dumplings. It wasn’t much but it actually filled the two of us up– though, we can’t really handle too much dim sum at once. The shu mai were delicious. My favorite was the shrimp shu mai. It was packed with shrimp meat and didn’t taste fishy at all. The XLB was pretty bad– I wouldn’t get it again. The turnip cake was mediocre. I would have preferred it to be crispier. Parts of it were actually lukewarm/cold… They served it with oyster sauce(I believe). The shrimp dumplings were okay. I noticed a lot of people got the congee. Prices vary per dish. Dishes are organized by «size». The small dishes cost approximately $ 2.5, medium $ 4, large $ 5. I’ve definitely had better quality dim sum for a cheaper price in California, but considering it’s in White Plains/Westchester County, I don’t think I can complain. I think I will come back and try their actual dishes.

I was in the area and decided to check my Unilocal for any great places to eat. This place and a local Asian food market came up. I first went to the Asian Food Market and was greatly disappointed. It smelled bad and it was dirty. I started thinking maybe the Asians around here are limited with Asian grocery stores and if they think this is great, I am concerned about the quality of food from the restaurant Aberdeen Seafood and Dim Sum. We came all the way and decided to go for it. We started of trying to figure out where to park. I recall my fellow awesome Unilocalers stating it’s in the Reinassiance Hotel. Ok, I can work with that. Then came the time. It opens at 11:00 am and I thought I read there is a huge line waiting to get in so go there before they open. Ok, we did that. Nobody was on line waiting. Huh ho. I’m getting nervous. I asked the receptionist at the hotel where do I park. She indicated to pull my car around the corner. There is a place where you pull in and take the ticket and then go into the spaces. Well we found that parking area and when we pulled the ticket, it allowed us to go through. However the gate to the parking garage did not open. Oh… is this an omen? All said and done, we parked it on the outside of the garage. Now for the restaurant itself. We walked in promptly at 11:00 am. Still nobody except us and the staff. Ok… After the hostess seated us, we ordered Jasmine tea(I ordered Jasmine tea automatically. I have no idea what tea they would have offered us tbh). After we received our tea, we had a lady come up to us with her cart and offered us various dim sum items. My family wanted everything on the cart. I was however more prone to caution seeing how I seriously doubted the fellow Unilocalers on the Asian grocery store 31.2 stars… really???). The first few dishes were tripe, spare ribs and shrimp dumplings. Lets be honest, every dim sum place is judged by how good their shrimp dumplings are. I ate the various food and was beyond pleasantly surprised. Wow, wow, wu wu!!! Delicious! Now, I started to have more confidence and felt ashamed of myself for doubting my fellow Unilocalers(I still disagree with the rating of the asian grocery store) and ate with great relish. Each dish was so fresh and obviously made with love and care. I even ordered the curry puffs, which at every dim sum place has always failed to meet my expectations. Well this place knocked it out of the ball park. It was so tender, flaky and most of all, filled to the max with beef curry. In fact, all their fillings are filled just right. A lot of the dim sum places I have frequented have been getting worse and worse and have been skimping big time and the fillings have been less than a teaspoon worth of filling. That’s including their roast pork buns. That’s blasphemy!!! Thankfully, this place has restore my faith in great dim sum places. The waiters and waitress all take pride in their food as well as their service. The usual, water and tea was always full and they were so kind as to even change plates after chili, hoisin and soy sauce ran abundant throughout our plates. Will we come back? In a heartbeat! The place does get crowded at 12:00pm though. Yes, we sat there eating for one hour! Our bill came out to $ 16 per person for lunch. That was not bad considering all the food we had. We actually overate but could not stop simply because we have not had great dim sum in so long. Too long and that’s just not right. Many people will say it’s Cantonese dim sum. I say it’s just great dim sum.
