T J’s Sports Garden Restaurant

I’m a firm believer that everyone and every place has a bad night, so I’ve now tried this place three separate times. Each time I felt both drink and food prices are some of the highest for the area. The wrap I had one night was alright, but left hungry. The boneless wings I had for the pitcher and wings special were a joke as it was mostly breading. Some servers seemed tired and put off, while others were friendly enough when they actually did pay attention to anyone other than the few regulars you could tell were always in there. The place has potential but seems everything is still the same from 30 years ago. Let’s just say for a sports bar with a big special on Monday night football the place was pretty much dead… from what I understand and hear its mostly the food quality has gone down and prices have gone up over the last several years.

I can honestly say that i was blown away by my experience here. Service was on point and the food exceeded expectations. I witnessed a steak salad served with french fries IN THE SALAD — boom next level order. Lets talk atmosphere… this place had it all, from the sports themed décor to the «21 Club Room» off to the side. What is the 21 club you might ask — only a place where you can gamble and go to flavor country (smoke) at the same time. All in all you would have to be a FOOL to not stop bye TJ’s on your next trip through Wheeling. I know I will.

TJ’s is the spot for some good food. Their wings and burgers are very good. This is a great place to stop in for some food and beers, a lunch or a good dinner.
