There is no question that this is a convenient place to grab a bottle of wine or a six-​pack after shopping at Safeway. So in that sense, this store is a nice addition to the area. But the name «Fine Wine» is a bit of a misnomer. The wine selection is more akin to what you’d find at the lower shelves at your traditional Safeway (note the bottles of Barefoot in the store’s posted photos) than it is to a neighborhood wine store. There is certainly nothing wrong with that choice – though in that case one might do better at the Safeway in Olney or the county liquor store two blocks up. Those of us who were hoping for a more curated selection of interesting wines, well-​priced wines will have to wait a bit longer for that store to arrive in Wheaton/​Glenmont.

Convenient with a great selection of wines and beers. There’s a lot of competition in the area but the staff and owner are very nice and Its now my go to store. prices are fair, place is clean. Not much more to say other than recommend you check it out.

This is a brand new store that just opened underneath my apartment building. It’s clean and has a great selection of wine and beer. It’s a little small, but that is kind of a given for where it is. It’s a great addition to the new safeway next door, and its also right next to the Wheaton metro station. They have free wine tastings on Saturdays which is cool. The people that work there are also super friendly and helpful when making your selection.
