Good food and great service. I highly recommend this. Too bad it’s closed.

Staff was nice. Had a quick lunch here. I don’t think I would tell anyone to run out and grab food here, but if in the neighborhood and craving some basic chinese you could hit this place up for a bite.

Eh. It was decent. Staff was friendly. It’s good eats for sure, but I wouldn’t drive 15 minutes for it… more of a «I was in the neighborhood and wanted Chinese» place.

I have been going to this spot for over ten years. It has not changed at all. The service is outstanding. It’s family owned and operated. The food is fresh and all the veggies are cooked perfectly in their dishes. I can’t stand over cooked vegetables. Their menu is basic, but that doesn’t meen it’s not good. My favorite dishes are the egg foo young, and their soups. At lunch their menu had large bowls of soup with noodles and many other choices. By far the best thing is the cost. This place is cheep. I have told the owner to raise the prices, but she will not. Good for me. Overall a great value, and you will not leave hungry. Go for lunch for the best soups arround.

Not the best Chinese I’ve ever had. The pot stickers we recognized as the preprepared frozen variety with a plain pork pâté inside and not piping hot like they should be. The Chicken fried rice was very dry. I think the chicken had been cooked a few days ago, rubber dry. Also the entrée lacked the carrots and water-chestnuts as the menu described. Overall, food presentation was appetizing and the service was charming. But the food is tasteless, not fresh and dry. I was a little sad about this place. I’ve always looked forward to someday eating here, and now that I have… we probably won’t try it again. For potstickers andchicken fried rice: $ 15.

What I like about Café Jasmine. 1. Friendly waiter guy that seems to always be working. 2. The Jasmine Lo Mein 3. Crab Rangoon(of course) The inside of this place is your typical novelty Chinese restaurant. They’ve got the mismatching wallpaper, the tacky moving waterfall HD picture frame, Chinese horoscope placemats and the lucky kitty with it’s paw up. It’s like I almost don’t trust the food if the place looks too good. Which leaves me wondering if there is some decoration manual somewhere on the how-to’s of Asian restaurant design. It is curious how they all manage to hack together the most odd combination of things. But I digress. IMO best Chinese food in the area.

Let me come right out and say it: the food here is just OK. We found the egg drop/flower soup to be good, the crab Rangoon to be tasty, and the shrimp to be shrimpy(haha or good too). What makes the rating only three stars for me is that the entrée, the largest and most expensive part, was kind of bland. I had the sesame chicken with the spicy sauce and my wife had the orange chicken with mild sauce. Both came with a side of white rice. The chicken is ALL white meat too, at least from what we have experienced! The restaurant was clean and setup nicely. The service was friendly and fairly prompt. Although my wife did not get the hot tea that she ordered. The total bill was $ 40.00, including tip. But we did get leftovers, so at least we get two meals for the experience. We will probably be back, or rather we will probably call in and pick-up the next time we eat from their.

Some of the best egg rolls and crab rangoons I’ve ever had.

All you people are crazy. This is the BEST chinese place I’ve been to my whole life. Far better than anything I found in San Fran or Chinatown downtown Chicago. The food is consistently good. My whole family has been going since it opened 10 odd years ago. Whenever someone is coming in to town, they’ll drive 40 minutes from my mom’s new home to go eat here. It can get pretty crowded on weekend nights and can be crowded or pretty empty at other times – always a couple of cops eating there which always made me nervous in high school. I always say I am going to try something new, but I always end up getting: egg roll(by far the best I’ve ever had), egg drop soup(taste tends to vary but adding soy always helps) and the piece de resistance: sweet and sour chicken. I know, I know, not authentic chinese food, but it’s the best sauce and chicken I’ve had for this dish. The chicken is always somehow perfectly crispy. I don’t know how they do it – I can’t find it anywhere else, and the sauce is awesome. I love going for lunch because the portion sizes are perfect. I’ve never been charged extra for refills so I am not sure what people are talking about. People should just get the tea and call it a day because it is also wonderful. The owners are very friendly and their work their butts off-have alot of pride in their restaurant and their place is so recognizable that the owner are, too. I recently learned that the husband-owner, Mr. Lee passed away which is very sad. The family is keeping the restaurant going. THANKGOD because I don’t know what I would do without this place

I really like the egg rolls and the hot and sour soup. The soup is more sour than hot but it seems to work.

Ok food. Not very busy and the lunch special was cheap but tasteless. If I had no where else to go I would pick this over Sushi House two door down cause that place is worse. I would rather hit the food bar at Whole Foods then eat here.

Not that great but for some reason the only Chinese restaurant within five miles of my house. I go when I need a fix, but not my favorite by a long shot. I agree, bland food and occasionally greasy.

Not good at all. I eat here every year or 2 b/c it is near where I work. But it is always bland and tasteless.

I went today for the first time, and I’ll go again. It loses a couple stars because I’m a potsticker junkie and these were not very good — huge and doughy, filling was pretty bland. We only ate half the order between both of us, which is unusual. They charge for soda refills. I always use chopsticks and they only offer the break-apart variety. But the entrees were good — we had ginger beef with vegetables, good, and a jasmine lo mein, fabulous! The service was very nice. Small, pleasant dining room. Fair prices. A good choice for carry out since I’ve got my own sticks at home, and plenty of drinks.
