I kept my expectations low as this is Wally World. I’d had less than pleasant experiences at a couple of different optometrists — one cheap one and one not so much. I figured if I wasn’t gonna see the difference, might as well go to Walmart. I was shocked to find by far the best eyecare experience in my whole career as a lens wearer — maybe 25 years. The doc was nice & thorough. I also wound up with a half-off coupon for glasses, so I looked into replacing my old ones — which really needed retirement. At half off I decided to go with something nice. Like 4 days later I got a call that my glasses were done(told me it would be 10 — that was a nice surprise). But when I tried them on, they didn’t work out. The lenses and frames turned out to be incompatible. They gave me my cash back with no questions asked. A few days later I went back to try again. Turns out you can’t use some lenses in some frames, so they guided me down a different road. A few days after picking these, the new ones showed up and they’re far better than expected. I’ve seen better selections in showrooms, but I was able to find a few pair that appealed & there were several price points… lots of really cheap options. Lots of nice ones as well. I wound up with a fantastic set of lenses & frames with all the bells & whistles for under $ 200. These folks run a tight little shop in here. I’ll be back for sure!
