The only reason I give them 4 stars is that I believe there is AWAYS room for improvement no matter what the subject. That being said this is a bar/Resturant that you will judge wrongly from the outside looking in. Olivia and the staff made me feel like a regular/local customer. There was a loud obnoxious person next to me and they promptly moved him away so I could enjoy the game I went there to watch and eat my meal without me saying a word. The food was nothing you would expect from a bar and it was delicious. American and Vietnamese menu. I had the seafood combination with steamed rice. A 12 inch plate and the only white of the plate you could see was the edge of the plate, the rice was in a separate bowl. Large shrimp(sounds funny to say that), mussels, scallops, clams and squid all steamed and in abundance. Broccoli, carrots, onions in a curry based sauce that was spicy but not hot. After questioning my taste Olivia recommended it to me and she was spot on. I loved it. I am going to have it again the next time I’m there, as much as I’d like to try more from the menu. They made me feel like I’d been there before even though it was my first time. You can’t ask for more then that!!! P. S. I made some friends that I plan on staying in touch with. Very good bar, great food. Excellent bartender, Olivia.

Had to tell our waitress 3 times that I wanted a coke. The other waitress had 3 cig breaks in one hour. I ordered a drink, then my waitress joined the other one for a long cig break before bringing my beer! I was empty when I ordered. She did apologize but later when she brought us food, she walked away w/o noticing my glass was empty. We had to sit with empty glasses most of the time. Good tables… just don’t be thirsty on an early weekday. That place could’ve sold double or triple the drinks if they weren’t more worried about relaxing.

We were on our way home to Montrose Colorado. We were looking for a place for lunch. We initially didn’t want to stop there because we weren’t sure about it. We drove to the Howard Johnson because my sister and I both worked there some 40 years ago. They were closed. But the lady at the front desk told us to go to longshots. We went to in, sat down, and realize that it was a Thai restaurant. So exciting. I love Thai food! We were not disappointed. The other side of the menu is American food so nobody has to settle for anything. It is the perfect restaurant. The young lady that waited on us was so sweet and very efficient. Wonderful experience! I highly recommend this place for anybody who needs to get off the interstate to have lunch or dinner. It also looks like a fun bar to go to to have drinks and party. Don’t forget your DD(Designated driver)!

Lousy service. What else is there to say. Didn’t want to order food, thought I might make someone mad by doing so. Bartenders noses were to high in the air to make me want to stay any longer.

Service was great for me. They were friendly. Food was good too. I love Vietnamese and Thai food. I was smacked by a fellow biker boy’s ball. He was playing pool. I was fine but he was so apologetic and kept checking on me. So beware of flying billiard gear.

My son(12 yrs) and I seem to find these crazy bars with good food. Of all things, this place’s signature dish is Phở and that’s how we ended up here for lunch. I must say we’ve been back a couple of times, and the Phở is definitely thumbs up! The only other dishes we’ve tried have been the hot wings and chicken tenders(can you tell the 12 year old’s influence?), and the tenders were actually pretty unique, I would like to try the shrimp appetizer some time. They have four pool tables, dart boards, shuffle board, and foosball. We got my son a pool que and dart board for Christmas, so now we kill some time after lunch playing pool and darts. I really can’t say what the night life is like here, but for good eating after skiing, or on a lazy weekend afternoon, this is becoming one of our neighborhood go to places.

This place is warped, but I like it. Biker bar meets dive bar meets local, blue-collar joint. Throw in some truckers, country singers and Vietnamese cooking and you’ll get a glimpse of the chemistry. The regulars are friendly, the staff are sassy, and the vibe is festive. It’s on a major transport hub, so your experience may vary depending on the time of day/week. But when on, they are on.

Great Vietnamese food. The staff is very nice, and the beer is cold. The prices are more than reasonable as well.

This is my sisters neighborhood watering hole and I met her her for a couple of beers on her birthday. The bartenders are very friendly and fun and they know the regulars very well. The bar is very spacious so you don’t bump into people. I can see why my sis likes it. I don’t live anywhere near here so I wouldn’t come back too often, but I had a good time. Cheers!

It’s a divey bar and grill, which I love. The service can be hit or miss. Although for an entire restaurant/bar, there only seems to be one person working the floor, so I suppose I can excuse the less than stellar service. There’s quite an interesting menu. Typical bar food and Vietnamese food. Mixed together in perfect harmony. The noodle bowls are bomb. Don’t mistake it for phở, because it’s not. Sort of close, but not. It’s a big bowl full of broth, noodles, veggies, your choice of meat(s), and an egg roll. Ask for it spicy(it’s never too spicy). Then add in some chili paste, if you’re like me and like to taste the heat. I usually go for the shrimp as the perfect compliment. Big olé fat shrimps with the tail still on. Yum. I recommend this place if I’m in the area, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for this dive.

Awesome Vietnamese food that is as consistent as it gets. Good drink prices and good service. The décor is also pretty cool. The staff seems professional yet down to earth. Been here several times and will absolutely be back!

Ok, so we have been coming here quite a bit over the last couple of months since it really is a stones throw from the office. I put in my previous review that the service is hit or miss. I have to say now that I feel that I am becoming a regular here, the service is definitely a hit. I have gotten to know the bartenders quite well lately and they are all awesome. They are funny and make an attempt to get to know their customers. I have noticed that their busiest nights are Mondays & Thursdays(probably b/c of football). Go there, hang out with the awesome bartenders and thank me later!

Tried this place because I know the bartender, the incomparable Di. In addition to her radiant smile and rapier wit, I was able to enjoy some great egg rolls and my new favorite, the lamb wrapped shrimp. Mos def worth the visit

This place is pretty close to a friends house so we go there on occasion. They’ve got some pool tables, shuffleboard, and poker. The pitchers are priced around $ 14 and the wait staff for the most part are pretty friendly. The music on the jukebox seems to be old 80s hair metal most of the time and that’s all right by me. Who doesn’t love to sing along to Bön Jovi while shooting pool? They also serve Vietnamese food of all things. I haven’t had their food at all, just surprised that a place like this served that type of food. I definitely expected to see the normal bar staples.

So I accidentally went to this place thinking it was another restaurant. I was looking to eat some Phở for lunch. I was going to order Phở, but I changed my mind after I asked the waitress if they served Phở with tripe, flank, tendon, she just looked at me weird and said that they don’t serve that. So I ended up getting the grilled pork, soft shell crabs, wife got the beef phở. The pork was dry and overcooked, her phở tasted like it came out of a can, and the soft shell crab tasted like fried fish. And what’s worse is that it took 45 minutes to get our food. There was only 4 – 5 tables besides us. We asked the waitress about our food and she said, «they are taking their sweet time». I am definitely not coming back to this place. This seems like a good country bar though.

Good place to sit and have a beer. This place has some serious potential. Bartenders are pretty cool and friendly. They have a heated patio which is nice. It’s usually filled with a younger crowd of people on weekend nights but definitely not a «club»

I’ve been here a handful of times over a year now — pretty evenly spaced. So I think I’ve gotten a decent feel for the place. I keep going back because it’s conveniently located… but then only maybe once every couple of months. It’s because of the food. Sometimes I’m craving bar food and they do it pretty well. The wings are almost awesome. The oriental food is pretty killer too. But the 3 stars is for the staff. They get one — food gets 5… I’m meeting in between. I’ve never seen the same crew behind the bar. And while the bartenders are usually at least somewhat easy on the eyes, they’re just unreasonably clueless on a remarkably consistent basis. Frustratingly so, really. The bathroom is extra super cozy, which is sorta buddy. I never look forward to that. Never caught anything special in the drink prices. One guy in a white plumber’s van keeps running into cars… twice in my visits and I hardly ever darken the door. I never bonded with the regulars much either. It always feels like I’m among those drowning sorrows instead of toasting good times or sharing ideas. There are usually a couple of drunk & happy local tables bouncing around, but still, I’m usually ready to go after one beer. I guess for a bottom line — it’ll do in a pinch. But nothing to write Unilocal about.

You would never know this is a Vietnamese food restaurant if the sign didn’t say it was. Their menu is interesting, typical bar food(burgers, wings, etc) on one side and then Vietnamese food on the other side. I went on a Saturday afternoon. The place wasn’t very crowded. The service was ok, the waitress was very friendly, but if you are looking for speedy this isn’t the place. We sat on the patio which was nice, but it also serves as the smoking patio. You have to expect that with the«no smoking» in restaurants law in CO, but it still sucks if you want patio seating. We tried some wings(just as an appetizer to see how they were), they were tasty and they gave us lots of ranch which is a big bonus in my book as most places give you a small cup. For a meal I had a Vietnamese noodle bowl. I opted for the choose any 2 meats plus an egg roll bowl. I LOVE Vietnamese egg rolls, the ones at this place were ok, didn’t match my favorite, but they were tasty. Then I got pork and beef as my meats. They were good, a little dry, but still tasty. I had to ask for the Hoisin sauce, but they had it and brought it right out. Overall, this was definitely tasty and I would definitely eat here again. The ambiance is very«bar-y» and you can smell the years of smoke from when smoking was allowed in the restaurant. If you are going for a meal I would avoid the high bar traffic times as you can tell it’s a pool/drinking bar at night. For Wheatridge though I haven’t found a lot of Vietnamese restaurant options and this is a great one(even if just for order ahead takeout).
