The Daily Dish Deli

One of my favorite locally owned places in the area. Great for every meal. The name means they have a different special everyday along with the usual menu. Lunch rush is regularly busy so you will likely be waiting a little while (upwards of 15 min) but it’s totally worth it. Plus they have some desserts and baked goods that are hard to resist. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Homemade style pies for Christmas were the hit of the night. Apple pie and an unusual but nicely surprising tasty eggnog cheesecake. Yum yum.
This place, the food made with «love», Tracy, and her «elves» just make you smile. It’s the best.

Tracy the Owner is a sweetheart! She always gives you a warm welcome and makes you feel part of the family. I go for their tuna salad every time I’m in the area because it’s that great. Last visit was tuna salad on top of garden salad, huge portion with balsamic and it was spectacular. Definitely recommended!!!

My husband stops here for lunch from work and introduced the place to the family shortly after discovering it. It’s a hidden gem! My kids love it and so do I. Excellent, fresh food and awesome atmosphere. Personal touches like surprising my toddlers with parfait glasses of fresh fruit, or apple slices are much appreciated! Owner, Tracey, will most likely know you by name on your second visit (and you will be back again and again). Save room for cookies or other treats after lunch — not the usual plastic wrapped crap at the deli counter — instead, you’ll find moist awesome desserts!
I refer to this place as a hidden gem — but I have a feeling it won’t be hidden for long! Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Lunch options around this area do not get much better than the Dish. From their daily specials, to their salads, to their desserts, everything is fresh and tastes great. My favorite special they have is either the pulled pork with cole slaw, or the meatloaf with applesauce.

When you are craving steak, that is chicken fried and smothered in sausage country gravy, with a side of buttery country biscuits, you should only consider one place in Northern New Jersey — The Daily Dish. These ladies own their craft and deliver the goods every day! Pay attention to their specials because this meal doesn’t come around but once a month. Five Stars.

Best lunch spot in the area around Picatinny, unlike all the processed crap near the Rockaway mall. Olive Garden is not real Italian food, hill people. Staff is friendly and will get to know you on a first name basis.
Homemade cheesecake is pretty awesome, too.

Great selection of food. The staff is very friendly. Kind of in the middle of nowhere, but if you work in the area, this is the place to go.
