Went here with my friend for dinner and the service was not good especially from the older waiter there. The man just threw our food at us and walked away rudely. The food was just ok, not the best Indian that I’ve eaten. The biryani was too wet, the rice was soggy. The biryani’s flavor was average. The chicken tikka masala was just average as well, not that memorable or flavorful. The rice that went along with the tikka masala was nothing special. The peshswary naan was the worst I’ve tried in Massachusetts so far. There wasn’t enough filling in the naan of coconut, raisins, and nuts. The kulfi was not great, not tasty or flavorful at all. During our dinner, my friend and I saw the older waiter pick his nose and then went on to organize the silverware without washing his hand. We were so grossed out. We will definitely not be coming back here.

Excellent food and service. Had dinner with a friend here on a Friday night. Place was quiet so we were given plenty of attention by the very friendly staff. Food was terrific. We had a chicken, lamb, and veggie dish which we shared. Proteins were moist and sauces had a perfectly medium spice level. Very impressed and will definitely be back.

Decent food, non-existent service. The food is pretty good, given the fact that the gas company shut off their gas this morning for an apparent repair yet they still had a somewhat warm buffet goes to show that their food would normally be much better… but that’s where it ends. I stood at the doorway for a few minutes without the waiter/host even noticing that I was there. The chef who normally would be in the kitchen noticed me first, go figure. Upon seated, I got no utensils; I had to grab my own utensils from another empty table that was already set. My water was never refilled, nor was refills even offered. Their buffet was basically empty with no refills, but this is understandable given their gas problem. But then when I asked for the check, even that never came. I understand that a buffet is kinda like a self service thing, but this has gone to a whole new level. Head 18S down to Fishtail Kitchen instead. Good food and actual service over there.

Good & Tasty Food .Nice place to go with family for Lunch or Dinner. Veg & Non Veg both choices are available, good quantity & quality food. Try Chiken tikka masla, Paneer tikka masala, Naaan, Sweet Rasmalai. Samosa & Kachauri are tasty too !

Great place for take out. I do not enjoy eating here. The dining room needs updating and someone is always vacuuming when I come. But, and a big BUT, the food is really amazing

So there are a couple of better options for Indian food that aren’t too far away, including Punjab Café in Quincy and Sher-A-Punjab(Quincy Center). The latter is a bit pricier but is like a chic modern Indian bar/restaurant; the former is definite very good. I thought Indian Delight was okay — not great and not bad. There appeared to be only one waiter which isn’t enough for the place. Probably a few chefs in the back. He was very business-like, so not super-friendly. Had to wait a bit for water and water refills. Food was good quality. Nothing to write about for presentation. Décor was mostly pictures or paintings — again, a bit drab, nothing to write home about. Good price point: not too expensive. I think there is a slight smell in the restaurant and it could use airing. For a week or so. Maybe some combination of mold, must, dirty laundry or dirt, and spilled beer?

Sunday of last week, my boyfriend and I were on our way home from the beach and stopped in. It was 2:45pm, and their buffet closes at 3pm. We weren’t sure that we would even be able to eat that late. They were so friendly and welcomed us. I am a vegetarian and my boyfriend eats meat, so Indian food is great for us. The buffet was great, even so close to closing. Their use of spices elevated the food to the next level for me. A little secret about me: I grew up around Indian families and learned to cook from the Aunties. The food here was definitely special. I think they put some black cardamom on their Naan! Not only was the food good, but so was the service. I love HOT and spicy, and they brought out a yummy chili condiment for me. We will definitely be back! Also, I overheard them talking to a man who was thanking them for donating food for a fundraising and telling them how grateful he was and that their food was the first food eaten at the event. It’s nice to know they also care about the community.

We have done both dine-in and take-out here for several years. The food is consistently great, and where the servers were efficient but not exactly warm in the past, they’re now both efficient AND very friendly. I like hot/spicy food, but I’ve learned not to ask for hot when they ask — it’s really hot! Asking for medium hurts my pride a bit, but that’s plenty for me. My wife swears by the chicken korma, and I love the rogan josh. Well worth a visit if you haven’t tried it!

Here’s the lowdown… This place lacks the glitz of other restaurants. But the main attraction helps you see beyond all that — the food. I’ve spent a lot of time in India — Calcutta, Delhi, Kerala, Goa, Udaipur, Jaipur, all over. And my wife who is Indian agrees — they have the best Indian food on the south shore. Their Keema mutter, Aloo Mutter, Vindaloo, Roti’s, Naans, they all kick butt and take names. I mean seriously… it’s hard to get a bad dish here. And they keep it real by serving ‘Thumbs Up’. Just ask for it, you’ll love it. Now onto the bad. None of which has to do with the food. 1. The place kind of stinks sometimes — the minute you walk in the door. I’m not talking about cooking type of stank, i mean, like, dirty laundry stank. Faint, but you smell it sometimes walking through the front door. Simply install some air fresheners. However, It is gone by the time you get to the… 2. Seats — They need to be polished. They are dull. Use this: Wipe it down real good and they’ll look like new. 3. The table tops could use some polishing as well. Use this:
Another amazing product, just wipe them down well, and they’ll look like new. Yes these products are originally for cars, but these are the secrets the top notch restaurants use to get your booths looking like new and smelling nice, each and every time! Next — Employees. I assume there are two owners, because i see the same two people there all the time. Very nice and very jovial. But the larger gentleman clearly doesn’t want to be there. And it shows. You can’t have him be a customer-facing person if he’s not truly happy to be there. That’s just the nature of the this business. You have to put on a happy face, even if you aren’t. My suggestions, besides those mentioned above — Add a large flat screen in a couple of places in the seating area, play some Bollywood movies, add a little bit more of décor. Hold some cooking classes, or have special nights. Have a son/daughter/neice/nephew set up and maintain a Facebook account telling everyone about these specials, regularly. Air fresheners near the front door, and seat and booth polish. And you’ve got yourself an amazing spot!

The ambience of the restaurant is good and the food is also good. Though doesn’t have good variety in dessert serving in the lunch buffet but the overall food tastes good. They do have chicken tandoori and chicken seekh kebabs, Naan tastes yummy. The staff was really good and overall it was a pleasent experience of having lunch buffet on a weekend at Indian Delight.

The lunch buffet here is a great deal. The items change from day to day and are always delicious. Apps and naan to kheer dessert, make for a tasty lunch break.

Hands down. The best Indian food you have tasted in a while. You wonder how this place stays in business because no one is ever there… but at the same time that’s a good thing because it’s a really quiet place to eat. The food is one of the greatest things I ever tasted. This is definately one kid my favorite places to eat.

Delicious, real Indian cuisine. The $ 12 super buffet on the weekends is unbeatable. Worth the trip from anywhere on the South Shore.

We had a feast. I started with their tomato soup which was tangy and very nicely spiced. Paneer and spinach curry was creamy and flavorful. Chicken vindaloo was also good but could have been better. The naan was out of this world. Thin and not too doughy. We also tried the kababs and chicken korma. So filling. Nice big portions and good quality for a reasonable price.

Great food, tall beers, and a quiet atmosphere. I appreciate that I can hear my husband when we go there to eat, and I always have leftovers for the next day. If you want your butt kissed, don’t go here. I noticed that someone who wrote a review mentioned that she didn’t get a «smile» from the host. One of the two main guys who works at Indian Delight is decidedly un-smiley, but I get the sense that this is just his personality and so we don’t take it personally. The other fellow is very pleasant, and the consistently delicious food more than makes up for any idiosyncrasies the staff may be perceived to have. I recommend the Shahi Paneer. Don’t be afraid to ask for a medium level of spice. Even my husband who is squeamish about spiciness thought his dish tasted much better with a kick. This isn’t the cheapest of places, but I think the food is worth every penny.

Went there with dad today for their lunch buffet. At $ 10.95, it is definitely a steal. They had the samosa n pakora for apps. Dosa stuffed with potatoes n veggies, lentil soups n three types of chutney. The dosa was delicious. Just the way I remembered them prepared by South Indian cooks. Next up, the mains. A mix veggie curry(delicious), n chick peas curry. They also have tandoori chicken which is nice and moist, and kebab. The usual curry chicken n the two die for goat curry. I got some rice, which was nicely made with goat curry. It was so delicious. Dad tried everything else n declared it good. Dessert was the usual, gulab jamun and rice pudding. I tried the gulab, and I really like their version. Not overly sweet, just nice. Btw, we got there at 11:55am, which is nice. Food is fresh n hot. I think that is the trick. Go there early, you want to be the first to hit their buffet. My dad n I usually stayed away from buffet cos of the hygiene issue. But if you are the first in line, that really is not an issue. Mango lassi was sweet n thick. Just the way I like them. Read some reviews about the servers being off. Ours were actually very nice. The two men who worked there today were really nice n friendly.

We made our first visit to Indian Delight and didn’t find this place any better or worse than any other Indian restaurants. The buffet was pretty small, the offerings seemed pretty limited, and those which were out were pretty cold because the chaffing dishes weren’t covered. The waiter(who has a wart on his finger the size of an additional finger) was adding food into the buffet with no gloves(he did use tongs but i couldn’t take my eyes off the wart) and wasn’t very friendly… but with this all said. the food was decent and the price was not outrageous. Decent food at decent prices… no wow factor or frills.

Our first time there and definitely not our last. Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon because I saw they had a buffet. Nobody was in the restaurant but it was only a few minutes last 12:00. The staff were very attentive and helpful in explaining what the items were in the buffet. The second time up at the buffet, they recommended some items we hadn’t tried yet. Everything was very good and for the price of 9.95 per person, that’s a deal. Check out my photos.
