We, and our child, are still scarred by our experience with this practitioner. After spending nearly $ 1000(out of pocket, which he demands up front) for our child to be admitted into a social skills program, this turned out to be disastrous when one of the kids bolted, another one left half way, and his wife showed up to do some sort of art therapy, which we did NOT sign an informed consent for. They were both condescending and refused to let us observe even ONE session. Go with your gut and if something feels wrong, it is. Our child refused to go back and we don’t blame him. Dr. Safran was rude and greedy. SHAME on him for taking advantage of desperate parents. His wife was sanctioned by the state for her poor record keeping and he is now wiggled his way into some sort of Westport based learning skills program. Buyer Beware. if the name Frank(or Diane) Safran is associated, you better think twice. There are far better and honest psychologists in the area, please take your time finding one before you consider Dr. Safran. From, a parent of an LD child
