Jimmy John’s

Ordered a #4 a Turkey Tom in Jan. and was only given bread and turkey meat. No mayo, or lettuce or tomato. Thought maybe it was the teen behind the counter that day.
No it was not. Just went in again on Sat. ordered a #4 Turkey Tom. When I asked if it has mayo, the teen behind the counter said it came in packets. When I said, but I ordered a Turkey Tom, that should come with mayo, lettuce and tomato. She said — oh you are right.
They just lost this customer.

Ok, it is Jimmy John’s, so everyone expecting some really high level of service shouldn’t come here in the first place. Other better options like Jersey Mikes across the street and the soon to open Pot Belly. With that said, I’ve never had a bad experience or bad food here. However, main reason for 2 stars — TURN THE MUSIC DOWN. I had to «shout» that to make sure they heard me. When the person taking my order couldn’t hear me due to to music being so obnoxiously loud, that’s a serious problem. If you dine in, don’t expect to carry on any conversation with anyone you’re eating with as you can’t hear. That is the main reason I will not come here anymore. Pretty sad reason to lose business.

I thought everybody was exaggerating, but they were not. 45 minutes and still no sandwich. I will never order from here again.

This place doesn’t deserve the criticism you guys are giving it. I’ve been ordering here for the past 10 years (deliveries and going to the store) and sure there are times where the wait is long, but they always let you know ahead of time on the phone. And when I go in the store and see how many customers they have during lunch, I understand why things get a little hectic and why the workers respond the way they do, it’s crazy in there lol. All in all this is a great location; I love the workers, the atmosphere, and most importantly the food! So people get the sticks out of your butts, enjoy the food, and try realizing that the world doesn’t revolve around you lol

Order from here often. They always get my order right and I usually use delivery because I order when I’m working. Very fast service!

Why is this place even open for business? I walk in and my ears are assaulted by blaring, obnoxious, heavy metal music. When I place my order, the teen behind the cash register looks at me as if I’ve upset his day. When my order is ready, the kid shoves it at me and utters, «Here.» Um what, really? Not a «thank you, have a good night?» UNACCEPTABLE.

Currently hitting the 45 minute mark waiting for my sandwich to be delivered. If this is freaky fast I don’t wanna see what freaky slow looks like.

Bread is never consistent and very rare if you get good bread from this location. If you’re getting more than one sandwich, check your sandwiches before you leave bc at least one is probably wrong

I read all these reviews a couple days ago and didn’t order from here specifically due to all the negative reviews. Business lost.
Today I was hungry at work and needed a quick fix so I gave it a shot anyway. Sure enough, as expected my order was WRONG.
I don’t know who the management of this place is and why they don’t give a hoot about the reviews here but they need to get their S**T together before someone, like myself, calls their corporate offices and files a formal complaint.

Fantastic delivery — great phone service and a manager that has zero business in customer service. Our sandwiches literally have one piece of roast beef on them. Manager expected us to return them and they would remake them. Sorry dude — your subpar sandwiches may be fast but they are totally not worth our time or money.

I used to frequent this location and never had a problem with the service in store. The delivery service is a whole different story. I have ordered quite a few times recently and it always takes SO LONG to get my order. I never order at peak times, I’m ordering in between lunch and dinner (2 – 4) or after dinner. It takes longer to get a sub from here than to order a pizza.
The last time I ordered, I got the completely wrong sub. I ordered the vegetarian and I got some smörgåsbord of meat and cheese. I called to explain the mix up and they redelivered the correct sandwich, but didn’t offer me anything to apologize like an apology or a credit or even a bag of chips!
Never returning here again.

When I first stepped in I received a friendly greeting by one of the guys. STAFF looked friendly:) They keep the place VERY CLEAN.

Ordered a sub and it took an hour to get delivered. Definitely wasn’t so fast you’ll freak. I love jimmy johns but this was poor service.

Ordered a tray of sandwiches for a funeral. Some of them had no meat on them. Complained to manager but ignored. I guess they have plenty of business so why bother to make things right?

I usually go out of my way to write a positive review, I wish I could here, «freaky fast» did not happen to me, and after 2 phone calls and over 30 minutes the manager said «oh, my new driver must have gone the wrong way, I told him to deliver your sandwich first, it should be there soon» I think Jimmy Johns Westmont, 2 blocks from me, could care less about «freaky fast», whether I am satisfied at all, and I recommend going elsewhere. Update 9÷20÷14, gotten a little better !

I have been ordering lunch from this location since the Dominic’s closed on Ogden Ave. everything was fine. Until delivery started getting slower and slower. Finally my last order took 50 minutes! I work a quarter mile from this store! Today I went in person to place an order for myself and a coworker. I talked to the manager about my experience and asked for a discount or credit (tardy delivery driver told me to).
The manager was not even willing to apologize for the poor service but said he had no authority to discount or credit a meal. When I asked for owner operator contact info I was told to go to the website and file a complaint. I understand now why they have such a low score here on Unilocal.I won’t go back. And warn you in advance that this is not a well run franchise.

Ordered #16 easy mayo, no tomato. What I received was just the opposite. When I approached the guys behind the counter about it, they were beyond annoyed. «Well, what did you want then?» They then remade my sandwich in less than 20 seconds. It was a slop mess loaded with mayo.
The guy calling out the sandwiches was a slack jawed mush mouth. Annunciate!!!
Seriously, Fuck these guys. It does not matter how quickly you make the sandwich. Making it right is the key. And if you make it wrong, don’t be a fucking asshole about it. It’s not my fault you’re in food services and you can’t read an order.
I’ve never had this issue at any other Jimmy Johns. Looking at the reviews here, it would seem this particular location sucks.

Made a call for delivery to the downers location but I found out I was out of their area and was given the number to this location. The guy who answered the phone said I was out of their location as well and tried to hang up on me when I asked to talk to a manager to confirm this, the guy Mocked my voice before transferring my call. At that point I was over getting a sandwich, I told the manager what happen and all he had to say was «o alright». What is wrong with this location, they are a disgrace to service industries everywhere. Their lack of professionalism is so apparent that they are an embarrassment to the jimmy john’s name. I work in the service industry and have never behaved in such a manor in front of customers. I will never call, or come into this location again.

Better than Subway, Quiznos, and most other sandwich chains.
I personally am a fan of the Vito with no tomatoes and hot peppers. The jalapeño chips go well with this sandwich in my opinion, but I’m a fan of spicy (this is only a little spicy IMO).
The cleanliness, speed, and service are here are typical of the other JJs I’ve been to in the area. Just an FYI the seating is rather limited so don’t plan on eating in with a group.
If you like JJs and this one is convenient I see no reason not to stop by.
