Came here for the first time with friends in February 2015 I was impressed with their customer service and food then and up to the date I still am. The owners are very friendly and welcoming the food is delicious. Since finding this place in 2015 I’ve tried their tacos, sopes, menudo, torta, quesadilla, chilaquiles, burrito, nachos, wings, breakfast sampler, chamangos, ice cream sundae and bionicas. Everything is always delicious it’s like eating home made food. Their green avocado salsa is delicious. I would definitely recommend trying this place out explore their menu you won’t be disappointed!

Great food. Great service. Great people. They are happy to be there and happy to have their customers. Green salsa is amazing. I put it on everything. Wet burritos are huge and so good and filling. Breakfast burritos are so good.

I went in with my brother today to get some raspaditos we ordered one champiña and one chamarindo. The lady made one champiña and a few moments later her boss asked her where the chamarindo was so she makes it but she gives us a chamngo. We told her that wasn’t what we ordered so she makes it again. She gives us another champiña … Such a fail: I gave up and walked out. That lady must of been really hungover or really didn’t feel like working today. Never got my chamarido #FU. get a better employee.

My friends and I made a quick stop here and we were definitely surprised by the food! The tacos are only $ 1.25 each and it was definitely worth it! I really liked the carne asada ones! It comes with cilantro, onions, avocado sauce, and salsa! I usually get it without cilantro and it’s perfect :) The plate also came with some chips and a side of the avocado sauce! We also tried the wings– viva special and buffalo. Those were okay, the buffalo tasted better than the viva special because the viva special tasted pretty sour to us. I would just stick to the tacos, though :)

A gem that shouldn’t be ignored ! My friends and I stopped by to get a quick bite before heading down to San Diego. This place is hella bomb with such great prices ! We all got some tacos priced at $ 1.25 each !! Comes with a side of crispy tortilla chips and yummy green avocado based sauce that has a little spicy kick to each bite. Definitely recommend dropping by to get your Mexican food fix ! Apparently they’re having a limited time 20 pcs of wings for $ 9.99 or something ! HELLLAAA worth !

New favorite close to home place. Inexpensive, delicious and friendly. I’ve had their chorizo burrito, veggie burrito, veggie omelette and piña respado all super yummy! Oh, and their asada tacos also very good and for 99 cents… Can’t beat that. I definitely recommend giving this place a try

As you can see from Mike F review. There is definitely something different there. The cook has changed and the food went down hill. I don’t think we will be eating there anymore. So sad to see such a good place get so bad so quick. So the last 3 times we went there we have had the same bad food and not doing so well there. So it was not just a one time issue for me to write a bad review. Little fly’s flying around and I am sure it was in the prep food as well. Next time keep the doors closed and keep the fly’s out. Good luck in their business and if for some reason one day they change things for the better, I am sure I would be willing to try them once again.

I am not sure what happened, but for sure changed and not for the better. Appears that they have changed cooks as the Viva Burrito lost it’s value and is served a lot smaller, stale chips and the salsa is just not the same. They used to have a habanero salsa and I don’t know why it is no longer available. We come here quite often for lunch and never had any problems with the food or service. The last two visits is when we started to notice the change. We just don’t feel that warm family feeling any more. We would brag to our co-workers about this place and it was embarrassing when we bring them and it was not as good as it used to be. We will still keep coming back to see if the other cook comes back with the hopes of a change for the better. We used the see the owners(husband and wife), now we don’t see them at all. What happened? I will for sure update this review when things go back to the way it used to be.

I wasn’t really expecting the most amazing wings, but I got a few really tiny and hardened pieces. If they gave me the sauce I ordered, it was lacking in garlic flavor. There was no apparent garlic flavor at all. It actually tasted more like the buffalo sauce. If that’s the case, it was a decent buffalo sauce. I usually don’t like buffalo sauce for wings though. Their carne asada taco was okay. Meat portion to taco was great. A little light on the onions and cilantro though. I will say if you are a fan of red sauce, you should go to el rancho, because viva’s was really weak. Lacked flavor and color as well. But I did like viva’s green sauce, it was more of a creamy sauce, which I prefer. All in all it was an ok visit, I’ll probably be back to try the carne asada quesadilla but I think I’ll stay away from the wings.

I have driven passed this spot countless times going up and down Goldenwest and recently finally decided to try it. The carne asada quesadilla was so good! Comes with some chips and green sauce. The fish taco plate with rice and beans was delicious as well! The tacos were very big and fulfilling. Fresca con leche raspado was yummy and the guy gave me a sample of the guava one which was delicious BUT i didn’t like the seeds that were in the drink. All in all I would come back to try other menu items.

This place is a gem. I usually order their wings and fish tacos. The chamango are full of mangoes and it is pretty good. There service is excellent and the cashier is very friendly. The only bad thing about this place is on hot days it gets really hot in there. However, they do have outside seating in the shade which could help with that. It is definitely a place I will continue to go to.

Stopped by today for lunch for the first time. I have heard good things from several neighbors. Service was good and no line. We ordered 10 bbq wings and a couple Asada tacos. Wife got a chamango. Waited about 10 minutes to get our food. The tacos are only $.99 and taste way better than the tacos at Nearby Tacos El Rancho. The bbq wings were VERY spicy, which we did not order that way, and the drumstick one were EXTREMELYDRY! The meat was dried out and hard. Wings were for sure a disappointment. Wife wasn’t a big fan of the chamango. Only stars for service and amazing cheap tacos.

Service and food amazing. I discovered this place while having a late night craving for chamango and couldn’t wait for the weekend so I Unilocaled it and Was not disappointed at all. First impression was great. Love their chamango, 100xs better then Westminister mall, coolest part is that it’s open late. Customer service is great and very helpful and alway greeted with a smile. Al pastor /asada tacos are on point. So amazed by the price and service. My go to spot when we can’t find the raspados lady. And now all my friends and family started to come for the cham– anything lol.

Unilocal challenge 2016. 54⁄2016 I’ve spied this place many times going up and down Goldenwest near Westminster Ave. Always stood out. Always been curious. Lots of good reviews too. Buuut I’m Not sure what this place is. It is very misleading. Claims to be a deli, but they serve Mexican food and have only a couple of sandwiches. Claims to have coffee and smoothies but not really. Claims to be a breakfast/brunch place, but I didn’t see a whole lot. Friends suggested we meet up here for breakfast before hitting up a local art store. However, they have a very limited breakfast menu. About 7 choices from 2 breakfast burritos, pancakes, French toast, ect. We ordered the Grand Slam pancake, eggs, sausage/bacon combo and the French Toast breakfast. The pancakes were standard. The French Toast was crispy on the outside, mushy on the inside. Nothing special. I was still hungry and ordered a couple of tacos. My carne asada tacos were tiny and over cooked. The Mister thought his meal was average. Our buddies both ordered Breakfast Burritos, but didn’t really say much about them. Big disappointment in the coffee department. Huge sign outside says coffee… but WTF was the coffee. The menu inside said Iced Lattes. They were blended. There is a huge difference between blended and Iced. Epic fail. They had regular coffee but I didn’t even bother. I hate stereoform cups. Bad or no coffee is a way to ruin my breakfast. Especially from a place that claims to serve coffee. Smoothies? What smoothies? Its more like ice drinks. My buddies ordered so called smoothies, but they are all super iced based, like liquid slushies. But they said they were good. So the service was very friendly. Super friendly. They brought out our food. The employees checked on us a few times. Great experience. Food was super cheap too. About $ 7.00 a dish. Took about 10 minutes to come out. I just was not impressed. Just okay to me. If they had more choices, more drinks, I could be a fan. #867

You will be hard pressed to find a better value than Viva Deli And Wings in Westminster. Fellow OC Unilocaler and similarly named Aarron W. was the person that put me on to Viva Deli And Wings after a lackluster taco affair that I had in Huntington Beach. The restaurant is a small family business that is all too eager to please and the prices are straight out of 1988. I ordered a pair of fish tacos and a medium soda and walked outside for an al fresco lunch for just over five dollars. My tacos arrived in 5 short minutes cooked to order. A pair of corn tortillas acted as a delicious delivery mechanism for a generous portion of seared whitefish, cabbage, pico de gallo, and a chipotle aioli styled sauce that seemed largely unnecessary thanks to the freshness of the other ingredients. The taco came flanked with tortilla chips that I failed to try but added to the value of the plate. I have no complaints and still cannot believe it was a sub-six-dollar meal. They also offer Buffalo style wings and tortas that both caught my eye and demand a second visit from this Unilocaler. Until then it is a stout 4 stars for Viva Deli and a chest bump to Aarron W. for the great luncheon steer.

Wanted a light snack and I’ve been wanting to try their raspados here so my BF and I decided to stop by. Walked it and it was pretty warm inside… no AC? Order at the counter and they will bring you your food when it’s ready. What we got: Carne Asada Tacos($ 1.25 each): comes with a side of chips, but I didn’t see a salsa bar or anything. Each taco comes with salsa and the usual toppings already. I just had half a taco and I thought the meat had good seasoning, but it was a little too dry. Chamango($ 4.50): it’s more icy than the other ones I’ve tried that was more like a slushy? The only time I’ve had it this icy was from the carts at the park! Not sure which way I like it more, but it was good here! Sweet, sour, and spicy! The tajin? wasn’t overpowering either so it was just how I like it! Small Guayaba Con Leche Raspados($ 2): never had it before, but the pictures made me what to give it a try… it’s guava and cream? A little bit on the sweet side, but tasted good to me! I could barely finish the small by myself. You could really taste the guava too. Service: There were 2 guys working. Both very nice guys. My BF was almost done with his tacos and chamango drink and I was still waiting for my raspado… went up to the counter to ask them about it and they apologized and said they forgot and made it for me right away. Place is a little small with maybe 5 tables inside? Tables felt sticky too. We will be back for the drinks though!

After various movie trips with Unilocal,my husband kept commenting that he wanted to go here. He is obsessed with wings. We decided to stop by on our way over to movie night. Viva sells various things such as deli sandwiches, Mexican food, and chicken wings, quite the variety. I initially went in wanting a deli sandwich, but I was not that hungry and after not seeing it on the overhead menu, I decided to switch up my option. Chances are they had it, but I didn’t ask. They were listed on the regular menus to grab. I went with asada, carnitas, and pollo tacos. My husband went with a asada quesadilla. All of that and a drink rang up to a little over $ 11 after tax. Not bad at all. I did really consider a fish taco which ran at about $ 2.25 instead of .99 but I was not that hungry so I waited. Our items did not take long to come out. I was assuming(never assume) that the tacos would come out with your basic onions and cilantro. However, they came out with both a red and green sauce on top. I believe the green was some kind of guacamole sauce. I bit into it and started coughing. It was spicy. I hate spicy. Now it was not THAT hot, but I did not expect it so it got me. My husband tried it and even admitted that it had a little kick to it, and he loves spicy foods. I have had spicier but this kick was getting to me. I ate what I could. The meat flavors were okay… Nothing great for my particular taste buds. He really loved his quesadilla so that was great. I would try a fish taco next time, or a torta, or even a deli sandwich at another visit as well. As of right now, it’s A-OK and pretty cheap too. My taste buds might be happier with some of the other options.

Food is decent. Price is good. The amount of food is good to share with another person. I went here with my colleagues and I got the fish tacos. It was meh. I’ve had better. The taste of the fish reminds me of fish sticks. I’ve also tried the al pastor nachos and it tasted pretty generic. Nothing special. Overall, food was decent nothing over the top or special to me.
