This place is awesome!!! I went in there last weekend and got 5 pounds of carne asada. The gentleman behind the counter offered us a sample of their Carnitas. Which I first declined. He then told me they were the best Carnitas I would ever eat… so I tried them!!! And let me tell you he was right. They were flavorful, juicy, and literally the best Carnitas I’ve ever had. He says he has them made fresh every weekend for purchase. VERY impressed by the quality of meat and the excellent customer service. I will continue to go back here time and time again. Ohhh and the carne turned out great, The marinade is perfect. I’d give this place a 10 stars if they had it.

Great little independent Mexican market. Carne asada was around 7 bucks a pound and after cooking 2 pounds I quickly realized, with my friends, I should of calculated about a pound per person! Great asada though!

So I know the cities of Carson, Pico Rivera, Whittier, and Santa Ana have carnicerias with great carne asada. The problem is, I don’t want to have to drive a ½ hour to an hour to pick it up. I’ve tried to hit up every local carniceria trying to find a solid, good prepared carne asada that’s close to my house. La Bodega Ranch market used to be my go to spot, but sadly, like Marine Land and Gemco, they’ve closed. So when I saw this place on Unilocal,I thought I’d give it a shot. So glad I did, great carne asada. I also picked up some homemade salsa there. Salsa’s kinda like music and everyone’s got their own taste, with that said, the green salsa was fantastic, the red just Ok, but I’m sure some would like it as well. Also. the butcher was super nice. The only problem with this place, is it’s kind of easy to drive by without seeing it. I’ll for sure be back.

WINNER! this place is on my way home from work everyday, and its hard not to stop and grab something, whether its some marinated chicken, or just their homemade chips and salsa verde prepared fresh there every day. Family owned, great people. Excellent prices on everything, they have limited, but good produce. Good spice selection & seasonings & sauces. I would recommend this place to anyone & everyone.
