This place might look not attractive outside but the food is terrific. Been a regular since 2013.

Oh I love this place. There aren’t a lot of good middle eastern food places, I hardly consider Greek food to be middle east, so this gem is a nice place to have. Best curry ever.

The Best Pakistani/Indian restaurant In Orange County. My husband and I are going to this Restaurant for the past 5 years. We literally drive from San Diego to Westminster Whenever we want to eat Good authentic Pakistani Food. The Food is always fresh. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is The Best. The food does take a while to come out because they make it fresh but it is worth the wait.

Delicious food, can’t wait to go back again Only been once, just saw 1 man working and he was very nice and helpful, I asked a lot of questions as I’m not used to eating this kind of food but I’m going to now, it was very good.

Overall the food was really good; I just wish the portions were a little bigger. The staff is very friendly.

This place is somewhat hidden and doesn’t stand out sometimes, but the food here is one of the best(and affordable). My friend and I came here after work to eat on Friday since we were craving some curry and garlic naan. Their mango lassi is also amazing! Everything came up to about $ 20, leaving us both full and satisfied overall.

Very tasty! I go for the grilled chicken or beef kebabs and naan every time, can’t get enough. My friends have enjoyed the chicken and shrimp curries. Don’t expect a fancy restaurant. Customer service from the owner and family members is excellent. Be ready to wait a while for your meal, not a fast food joint, well worth the wait, our family is a big fan. We’re not friends or related to the owner. We’ve also used them on the past to cater for us, with no problems. Have been coming here for over a couple of years, always an enjoyable dining experience. Their prices are reasonable. Try them out.

Ordered korma and karahi. They need to Improve and biryani was ok. With having eaten most of the Indian dishes I can say that food was decent and there is room for improvement.

I have yet to have any bad experiences with Indian curry… from buffets to restaurants the staple of any Indian restaurant seems to be the chicken tikka masala. This restaurant is no different so I would recommend this dish. However, if you’re looking for something different or a different type of meat I loved the lamb here. It’s not gamey at all and falls off the bone! Samosa’s were dry. I’d skip this next time. I drove by it and almost thought it was closed because it looked so dead. But don’t let appearances fool you.

I passed by this restaurant so many times, but had been hesitant to drop in because I’ve not seen many people in this restaurant. Finally took the chance and visited here for the first time. The restaurant is smaller than what one expects from the street. The interior has the normal indian/Pakistani décor and color. There is even an Indian MTV-like show shown on the TV. Okay to the importance part of the review – first time here so only tried a few items. Ordered the mango lassi, garlic naan, beef samosa, beef keebob, and goat kahari. It took some times for the foods to come out, but that is to be expected if they’re making things fresh from scratch instead of reheating it. Anyway, the foods were all good. I didn’t really know how to eat the beef keebob, but it seemed to go well with the sauce from the goat kahari. Will like the food more If they’re more spicy :) Oh yeah… really like the mango lassi. It was just a perfect refresent – ice cold, not too sweet and I can taste/smell the mango and yogurt. Definitely will visit again to try out the other dishes. Btw, it seems many customers opt to order take out hence the reasons why this place is emptied the majority of the time. Check this place out if you have been on the fence!

I went to this place with my two girlfriends. Between the three of us, we split a large order of rice, garlic naan, chicken tikka masala, mixed veggies in curry and chicken vindaloo. The rice is light and go well with the spices and curries garlic naan: flat and hard. not very appetizing. 4 cut pieces Chicken tikka masala: Lots of sauce but very little chicken. was pretty disappointed by the portions Mixed veggies in curry: The sauce was good but the veggies were sort of disappointing and not what I pictured. Potatoes, a couple carrots, and peas Chicken vindaloo: probably my favorite of the three entrees we ordered… spiciest of the three and okay amount of chicken I suppose… it looked like a thigh that was cut in half and a chicken leg with some potatoes. We were pretty displeased with the slow service and how stingy they were with their chicken. We weren’t really full either so we ordered an extra small order of rice. The flavors here are good. I just wish they weren’t so sparse with their meat. Also the garlic naan made me sad :(

No. Just no. Unilocal has failed me this time and I’m so disappointed! What are all these Unilocalers thinking?! Either they’ve never had good Indian food or I came on a really bad day. Either way I came here at 7ish on a Monday and it was empty, I had the mango lassi, chicken tikka masala, and garlic naan. –Mango lassi– did not taste fresh, had a bit too much yogurt(vs. mango), and had a strange– almost garlicy aftertaste –Chicken tikka masala– this is my favorite Indian dish and unfortunatley, here, it’s the worst I’ve ever had! It’s not creamy and had like 6 – 7 chunks of dry chicken. Tiny portion for $ 10. And it’s served a la carte!!! –Garlic naan– more like pita bread with garlic powder. Ever other Indian restaurant I’ve been to has obvious house made naan with garlic and herbs on there you can see and taste. Overall, this place is over priced and has horrible Indian food. If you want good Indian food, just make the extra 15 minute drive to Cerritos.

So I saw this spot on Unilocal, and was pretty excited to try it out. Long story short, the food was mediocre and waaaaaaaaayyyy over-priced for the quantity… Never going back.

Service was terrible for a Friday night, food took forever. Don’t get the sampler it was just okay. I would recommend getting a curry dish, garlic bread, and a must the mango lassi was on point.

I ordered the chicken tikka masala and garlic naan and brown rice. Everything was scrumptious! The chicken dish is slightly spicy, so if you have a low tolerance, I would avoid. The food was delicious, flavorful, and it was definitely hard to stop feasting even after I was full. Bread was delicious, fluffy, lightly garlic in flavor. The tikka masala comes with brown meat, but you can request white meat for an upcharge. One strange thing about our experience was that we requested brown rice off the menu and the owner brought out a dish of what was clearly white rice. We pointed out that we had ordered brown rice and he simply said, «No, we don’t have brown rice.» Surely, you should remove an item you don’t have off the menu, right? Otherwise, I have no complaints. The owner is nice enough, prices are reasonable, and food was great. I will definitely be back.

Here on 2−22−15. Everything here is a la carte. That means when you order the main dish that’s all it comes with. You have to order the rice, salad, samosa, etc. as a side. IMO major bummer. Food takes a long time to come out too so be patient and be prepared for a $ 20 meal that is $ 10 in Anaheim at Tandoori Garden or Punjabi Dandoor. I had the chicken masala and it was good and a little spicy. The rice was full of flavor and aromatic. The garlic naan was great and highly recommended with the chicken masala. The veggie samosa is a potato samosa full of flavor. I did have enough leftover to take home so portion size was good. Just wish I could have had a smaller portion and throw in some palek paneer and make it a lunch combo.

this restaurant is very underrated. While people around Westminster will often stand in long lines for mediocre new restaurants this place is always delicious and on point! Food wise 5 stars, the best Indian food I’ve ever had. The outside appearance of the restaurant could use a little help. The portions and price are reasonable and flavor is the best out there IMO. The most common dish would be the chicken tikka masala. give it a try here because it’s something special.

If you have never tried indian/halal/Pakistani food, make this your first! I agree with everyone else. you are set with the tiki marsala and garlic naan! Amazing and different! Nonetheless, all the meats are cooked to perfection, falls right off the bone, easy to eat, great flavors/herbs. yum yum yum, can’t wait for my next visit! Plus: interior is nicely decorated, super cozy and friendly service(although he is on the older side so he is a tad of a slow mover). & prices are reasonable!

An Indian/Pakistani restaurant in the middle of Westminster with really flavorful and authentic food?! This is exactly what we need! We came on a Friday at around 11am and the place was empty. My mom and I ordered their saag paneer(spinach curry), chicken tikka masala to-go, and naan. The total came out to be $ 20.50. The owner said they make their food from scratch so the wait was a bit long. maybe 20 minutes? So now I know to call in my order next time. I didn’t mind the wait, because if they’re making fresh food. well, I’m in! When we got home, I started eating right away. The naan was amazing! It was soft and comforting on a cold day. As for the saag paneer, it was amazing as well. It was really smooth, creamy, and had lots of spicy flavor. The chicken tikka masala was full of white meat chicken and the sauce had a light tomato taste. Be warned, this is pretty authentic so be ready for your tastebuds to be on fire! Despite the heat, I just couldn’t stop eating! I will definitely come back to try their other items, like their shrimp masala and their fried fish dish.

My father-in-law really likes lamb and goat curries so when we’re in Orange County, we seek out Indian/Pakistani restaurants that have them on the menu. Our last adventure took us to Usmania. In a nutshell, my father-in-law left happy, satisfied, and with a copy of the take-out menu and their business card so that he could return on his own. Usmania is not an all-you-can-eat restaurant. Since we’ve discovered Usmania, we have tried a variety of curries, including the chicken tikka masala, goat korma, saag aloo, bhindi, as well as their grilled items like the chicken tandoori and chicken seekh kabobs, as well their basmati rice and naan bread. The tandoori chicken was nice. The pieces were smallish but the meat moist. The chicken seekh kabobs were ground chicken mixed with spices and they were surprisingly a bit spicy. The goat korma was totally for my FIL but he loved it. The chicken tikka masala was a really good version — with a tangy, creamy tomato sauce. The saag aloo was probably our least favorite. It had julienned pieces of ginger all throughout and it was too salty but the bhindi(okra) was a whole table favorite. The restaurant is a small place with an even smaller parking lot but I think we’ll be back because FIL deemed Usmania to have his current favorite goat curry in OC.
