4 star rating for this place?! SAY Whhaaat?! I came here a back in October and forgot to review this. Anyway I already had in mind of what it’s going to be like(poor service). However the 2 times I’ve been here, they’ve always been nice(surprisingly). All the staff was very friendly except the bust boy. I wish they give you the order number because know which one is your order and it’s especially hard if you don’t speak Vietnamese. The first time the lady, I’m assuming the owner, got my order wrong even though she confirmed with me. I got phở instead of the hainan chicken that I ordered. I got to tried both the phở and hainan chicken. I have to say their chicken phở is different and unique than other places. Their hainan chicken is good too. Keep in mind this place is very busy no matter what time or day it is. It’s better to order a takeout. Give this place a try!

It’s Saturday and I have a date with Song Hai bc I am not feeling well. Chicken is a healing remedy. Second time eating Phở Ga here. My first time was better as they still had the Phở Ga with dark meat(thigh) available. This time around there was only the breast meat left which was disappointing! Although it is free-range chicken, breast part is quite chewy for my taste. To me, Phở Ga Dui is alright. Not the best I’ve had thus far. I think most people come here for the ginger fish sauce that accompanies the chicken. The dipping sauce is unique and flavorful. But, the phở broth is just average. The thick noodles are good though. If you come here near closing time around 6ish, they will run out of chicken. The lines are insane at lunch time especially on weekends. Cash only! FYI-they have fresh banh bo nuong(baked pandan bread) delivered from an outside vendor on Sat/Sun. Verry yummy for only $ 6!

Good food but horrible service by employees and staff. Came in the morning and employees let others cut in line for a table and when we finally get in, service was hurried and rude. Also, even though it was in the morning, the main dish that’s popular there ran out. Waited to be seated and the main dish was not available.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. Came in after our long trip down here from NorCal and decided to give this place a try because my uncles friend said this place was delicious. We got a table within 10 mins, not bad. Right as we sat down they told us they were out of drumsticks which we were okay with. We ordered the phở and rice plates. Rice plate wasn’t too bad. But the phở was so bland my three year old cousin asked his mom why did she put water in his noodles and refused to eat it. We walked to the bathroom to wash our hands and overheard people ordering drumsticks…

4 stars for the phở(compared to the rest of bolsa). 0 star for the management and service. Even if you order to gi, expect to have it ready for you in hrs. No matter how popular the restaurant is, customers are still customers. They pay for the food, for the experience of eating at restaurant. They dont beg for the food. They are the reason you have your income. After many bad experience eating here, i finally decided to give them the review. Keep in mind that the chicken phở here is a bit more decent… one star review is for the people that works there.

I came here on a Saturday for lunch and had to wait almost an hour to get a table. Everyone told me this place has the best chicken Phở therefore I was really excited to try it out but I got really disappointed. The broth was decent but the chicken was not good. Nothing special. I had better chicken Phở elsewhere. It’s definitely not worth the wait and the service was HORRIBLE!!!

I always go to this place whenever I want Phở Ga. But the last time service was really bad. So everyone has to sign in their name and wait for it to be called. Some people missed it and stepped away and when they came back, they should be at the end of the list again. Whether they hear it or not that’s their fault. They let people in. 2. Now they charge $ 0.75 for vinegar onions. What the heck is this? It’s a given when you eat Phở and it comes with it. 3. The attitude of staff is bad. At least our waitress. She’s like hurry up when I asked for Ga Dui when they’re out. 4. The meat now doesn’t look as fresh as before. No matter how good Phở is… the quality of service and food keeps the business running. If they were a 9 – 10 before, now they’re down to a rating of 4 – 5 and that’s being generous. Not including the wait time of 30 mins for this s***. I no longer recommend this place and last time was the last time with them.

The wait is only SO long because of poor management skills. Loved the chicken! It was so tasty. I would only come back if I togo. The wait to get in was not too bad… A lot of people«left» so they started crossing everyone off the list. Once we got in, they ran out of chicken broth and thighs. We were lucky to have thighs with our chicken phở. Since they ran out of thighs and broth, people were just bouncing from dining in and togo. I saw a LOT of money walking out. This was around 1pm… We ordered before this other couple but they picked us to have the broth«run out» on. Was quotes a 15 mins wait but it really took 30 minutes. We ended up at that establishment for over 1.5 hours close to 1 hour &45 minutes. Wow. For phở? That’s just absurd. It would be cut down to 20 – 30 minutes if they had better management skills. Heck, I get in and out of phở 86 within 15 – 20 minutes including time to eat and food to come out. Went up to pay and the lady did not have our bill. The front area was a mess. I would suggest them to hire a proper manager or someone that’s more organized to help run the business. It could be so much better and that amount would return in a few days. They have been open for a few months, you would think they can gauge the amount of chicken and broth they need by now. Some people will only give you one chance.

Apparently they’re known for their chicken phở noodle soup. I’m not a big fan of Phở Ga(Ga means Chicken in Vietnamese) & definitely was not a big fan of their chicken nor service. While I was there, kitchen helpers were also the servers, running from front to back & slowed down the service significantly which caused us to wait outside in the cold while there were bare empty tables that could have been cleaned if somebody was hired to do so. Onto the food. Chicken broth was tasty but a tad sweet. The chicken leg/thigh barely had any meat(mostly bones & skin), which cost them at most $ 2& the small bowl of Phở cost us $ 7.50. That would have been easy to swallow if the price included service. It did not. Servers/kitchen workers avoided eye contact so they wouldn’t be bothered. One even gave us the stink eye & ignored our request for something we already put into the order. Horrible customer service for mediocre chicken noodle soup. One star for you.

Terrible service, everywhere is dirty, looks like there was dish washing soup in my bowl of phở… a bunch of rainbow-colored bubbles! Slow-paced, screaming and yelling between cashier, waiters and cookers in the back. Yet… people still wait in line for this place. Must have some voo-doo in their broth! LOL.

The best? Maybe. The best around here? Probably. I purposely get cold and hungover just so I can come here to have their chicken phở to soothe my soul. Chicken phở just feels lighter and healthier than it’s beefy counterpart and it really is quite tasty here. Only downside to coming here is that there is likely a wait and parking is almost certainly a headache but I have no job and no life so waiting is really no problem. If the wait is too long, go to Mai Phung 2 doors down and that is where you will find the best beef phở. Yes, in the same damn plaza! Absolute proof that God loves me and phở.

A lot of the low rating reviews is only because of the long wait and«bad» service. Usually good Vietnamese restaurants are like this but the food makes up for it. I don’t mind the sticky tables, and rude waiters. My bf and I waited around 20 minutes to get in and another 15 minutes for our food. The phở ga is their specialty here. The broth is sweet, and flavorful. The chicken is moist and the ginger chili fish sauce is perfect. Overall I would keep coming back, and btw it’s cash only !

RUDE, RUDE, RUDE… I went there alone, and waited for about 40 min. When Im finally called, they said” No, you have to wait” then they gave my table to the next party of 3 to make more money. But thanks to their rudeness, I searched for other places and I found Kim Loi. This place is US standard, very clean, nicer looking and most of all the food is way much better.

If you’re a true fan of traditional Viet food in Bolsa, you know some of the best places have just horrible service and don’t expect the décor to be designer. Yeah, this place could be a little cleaner and less stuffy nonetheless, but c’mon lol you’re here for food that tastes like it was made in Gma’s kitchen. So don’t let the low reviews about that stuff deter you from trying this place. Get the drum stick phở, the meat quality is BOMB, like you can tell the buyers know how to get the good stuff, the noodles are the fresh thick kind, and the broth is flavorful but not overly salty. And this is coming from a phở snob. PS get a small bowl since the large bowl is just more noodles and soup, but same amount of chicken. Not worth. Only thing is that it’s pricier for this type of food and they run out of chicken constantly lol.

The phở ga is really good here. The chicken is so fresh tasting. The problem is the space is too small. Alot of people go here. They are always running out of food. I have been here 3 times and twice it’s been out of chicken. That’s what they’re known for.

Pros: — Good phở. It was very flavorful, but a little bit too salty for my tasting. — Quick service. The waitresses were pretty quick when getting orders in and out. Cons: — Place was a tad bit on the smaller size. The tables were a bit too close together for my liking, but I was able to get my sons car seat in and out. — They run out of chicken very fast, especially the drum sticks(thats what they’re known for) so go early.

Let’s start off with the fact that everything in this restaurant moves in slow motion. The service, the food, and the wait. Definitely not the place to grab a quick bite. I suggest to call in and to-go your order for it to be quicker and less stressful Other than that, the food is really really really good. It’s one of my favorite places to get chicken. Phở ga, com ga hai nam, and mien ga(personal favorite). You can’t go wrong with any of it! The dark meat(dui) is so moist! But they tend to run out early morning. Don’t forget the fresh spicy thai chili.

Line was long at 3pm but worth the wait. The steamed chicken is so good with the noodle soup. The dip for the chicken was something but i cant stop dipping. Taste like fish sauce, ginger, lemon, etc combined. Ordered the penny worth drink with green beans. Unique combination but delish!

Straight up Vietnamese hole in the wall joint. Food quality is 4 stars, everything else about this place(Service, cleanliness, atmosphere is 1 star). This place is known for the Phở Ga(chicken phở) w/drumstick. People come here just for the chicken drumstick’s and everyone orders ‘em. Unfortunately it’s not uncommon for them to run out of drumsticks so check w/the server before committing to a table. Price is about $ 8.50 for a large phở ga. PROS: –Food is delicious. The Phở Ga(chicken phở) is probably the top 3 best Phở Ga I’ve had. –Chicken drumstick is really good. It comes bone-in and tastes awesome. You can also opt to get it w/o skin. NOTE — the chicken drumstick is served separately from the soup. You have to peel/remove the drumstick from the bone and throw it in the soup. CONS: –Straight up hole in the Vietnamese joint. Feels dirty inside, flies buzzing around, lackluster service, no AC, seating is cramped so you might be sitting next to someone, etc. –It’s not uncommon for them to run out of chicken — mostly the drumsticks. Check before ordering. It’s happened to me twice. –Lines are typically long, especially on weekends. Usually 30~ min wait. TIPS: –Cash only.
